I might have the same problem on my 2012 SF 848.... I'll open that cover as soon as I get the tools. Thanks for sharing !

My 2013 Multistrada spring broke and I could not shift down. I’m surprised you were able to keep riding.

Since there is no Ducati dealership where I live i had to go with Moto Corsa in Portland Oregon and they shipped it out to me. 503-292-7488

hey, just wondering if you saw the service bulletin and used the torque specs that it recommended for the M8 and M6 screws for the stopper plate or used the torque specs from the manual? I know the specs from my manual on my 696 are 25 and 10 nm compared to the 34 and 15 nm stated on the bulletin...

Carlos Zepeda honestly I dont pay any attention to torque specs. I always go until my ratchet begins to flex and that's far enough. I believe in the notion "being one with my wrench" :-). ducati engines are meant for racing and are cast aluminum designed to be taken apart and put back together many times so just wrench it down tight and you're good. plus the new bolts come with loctite anyways..

No Hope In The Pope you got that wrench time experience, that's awesome! Thanks for the advice! And great vid, I'm gonna tackle this on my 09 monster 696 soon, just waiting for parts.

@@jdmtake1 Hey, I dont even remember, I took a piece of cardboard and stuck the screws in there in the order I took them out so I wont get confused..maybe looking at the parts manual, it can show you the screw sizes and placement?

You need a "ducati flywheel holding tool"
google or ebay will locate one for you.
