    You have a really cool personality. I’m 23 and have been isolated since graduating highschool. When re-entering societ, I’ve had a fear that I won’t ever meet people I can jive with. But I can totally imagine me meeting someone like you as a coworker and befriending them, while being able to shoot the shit. Great video and thoughts

      Thanks I appreciate that. It’s gonna be alright dude. 23 wasn’t my favorite year either, but things do get better, not all at once but they do. There’s friends and companionship for every personality type.

    The detail of the Fender - I'd always spotted it was a Fender (and not some cheapo brand, or a Squire even) - but to hear it was a Clapton signature is just wild!

    Great footnote to the Matrix DVD scene is that Ralphie makes his first appearance (episode 3.2) in that very spot, as if walking through a time portal.

    The thing that ALWAYS gets me is the weird way Paulie is holding the fish in the car. Instead of hold it with his left hand in a natural way, he is propping it against his wrist and it just looks so weird and awkward like he's got a fake hand or something. It always stands out to me and I can't see anything else.
    Regarding the music posters in Meadow's room, one you missed is for the band _Scout_ (on the right at 9:25, but it's seen in full in another shot where you see the band name, can't remember when). You'll recognise the woman on the poster as the lead singer of the "Miami Relatives" band who later perform at the Crazy Horse. That is actually the band Scout.
    Regarding the sprinklers/water theme - I always thought that Tony out in the garden tending to the tomatoes was a pretty direct reference to _The Godfather_ when Vito Corleone dies. He's out tending to the tomatoes and playing with his grandson, and dies amongst the plants. In both cases it's the death of an old parent linked to tomato plants. There's another _Godfather_ reference in the same episode when the funeral director says "I'll use all my powers, all my skills".

    Hey Kino, in Second Opinion when Junior is under anesthesia, that's not Agent Harris talking to him. It's two random imaginary people. It kind of sounds like Harris, but they are imaginary. The other agent is someone we never seen before. And the one kind of resembles Harris. But they are just a random hallucination.

    About 10:22 throughout the S6 episode "Kennedy & Heidi" Tony has to deal with a pile of asbestos that he can't dispose of just yet because Phil is hard-lining a deal and he ends up ordering it to be dumped in a lake, as the subtitles reveal the sounds of ducks that were there.
    I read in an article on an advocacy site (Save New Jersey Shores) taking about the significant amount of ash pollution from an Esplanade development site in NJ, so I think similarly here, the cut to the ducks may show how the businesses Tony engages in harm the only thing he seems to love unconditionally, animals, and in this case specifically ducks - which in the pilot represented his family and were a way in for empathizing with this troubling protagonist.
    As the series goes on, Tony is shown to hurt the ones most closest to him and display more toxic behavior towards them. The aforementioned episode, "Kennedy & Heidi" shows Tony at the worst version of himself and this displayed alongside that of sort B-plot that ended up with him dumping the waste - almost severing the tie with the likeable and possibly redeemable Tony from earlier on in the show, after which we get the "I get it!" scene of Tony's epiphany in the desert.
    Great & insightful stuff as is the case in the first two parts. I'm looking forward to the next three (maybe and a half) parts.

    I recently rewatched season 1. They obviously found their footing towards the end. Maybe by the time they get to the episode where Tony imagines the Italian student cause he’s on too much Prozac. But episodes before that are so weird in comparison to the rest of the series. That could be an interesting video idea

    I don’t know if this is correct but with Vito’s gun, the laws in new Jersey are super strict about guns and extending to prop guns. So with close up of a gun that’s the best they could do at the time. But as I said, I don’t know how true it is

    I was watching a reaction video of a season 3 episode and Tony is talking about the death of Traci to Dr Melfi (calling Traci a young man whom he worked with). He says "its sad when they go young like that" it reminded me of when it says that in season 5 about Joey Peeps going young and it really pisses off Johnny Sac.

    Season three of the Sopranos has got to be the worst season for me3 the worst season for me and I always felt like that season was very boring. The villain was not even a villain. It was just somebody who was killed because Tony didn’t care about him.😅 it was ridiculous. I felt like they were totally ridiculous. Season four not all that good and the worst decline only season one to me is the best season.1 I’ll only be the best season

    • @themadtitan7603
      @themadtitan7603 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I'm of the opposite view, I regard S3 as possibly the best season (the two other seasons that compete for me are S2 and S6 Part B) thanks to its "trifecta of violence" episodes in Employee of the Month, Another Toothpick, and University. The Gloria storyline (my favorite comare character), and more overlooked episodes like "To Save Us All From Satan's Power", plus I love the cinematography in it - those darker hues & shades contrasted with warmer colors make it the best middle ground for me between the brighter earlier seasons & grainer, darker, more cinematic looking later ones.
      I love S4 too but I get the impression that's the season people would find more boring given there's as not much of a driving central plot to it. It's more introspective & slower focused on Tony & Carmella's marriage, and the antagonist dies a few episodes before the finale. In S3, I regard ultimately Ralphie to be the antagonist there too, not Jackie. The latter just happens to be the source of liability and agita for Tony this time around, like Tony B in S5, as opposed to Livia, Uncle Jun, ,Richie, Ralphie, and Phil.
