  • This is how the internals of the DV+ valve works to ensure a leak free seal under boost. The electronic diverter valves are known to leak on the VW FSI, TFSI, TSI engines and this is a solution. Keep in mind that a tune adjustments may be necessary depending on your car's setup and this is something we can help you out with.

What stops the piston just falling into the turbo

Shouldn't the extra boost pressure, due to that hole in the piston, push it shut, and not open? That's what GFB explains in their video with Mighty Car Mods. If you blow into that piston hole the piston should shut closed.

So i took off the original diver vve to make it easier for me to access something, and while doing that i think i dropped one of the springs in the dv valve😂 now when driving theres barely any boost build up and throttle kinda feels weak. Would not having that spring be the reason

I had an oil leak on gti mk5 from diverter valve plug. I replaced with revision D and its still leaking a small amount of oil from the plug. Any ideas?

Pero that maybe means your turbo inlet has oil buildup, you should check if the inlet of the turbo has any oil, if it does, you need a catch can.

wait so where does the air get rerouted to? i thought a dv takes the air and puts it back into the intake

To the low pressure side in front of compressor.

@@stratifiedauto but there's no tubes to reroute the air to? That's what I'm struggling to understand how it diverts air when it's just a piston that goes up and down

@@fcukdude1989 when the piston retracts pressurized air in front of the piston is able to pass through an opening that's beside the piston and joins with the compressor inlet, just in front of the compressor blades.

Wat if you have the newest updated version ,it don't look like that diverter ,looks like it has holes in it ,the peirburg version
