My son has a 2007 that was originally mine got it brand new just got back into them never worked on them before so now that I'm doing research and trying to learn I've got to say this was the most step by step process video on TH-cam thank you sir
I have the same bike for my son but im having a problem you might know. it starts runs and idles GREAT new orings new throttle cable lubed it up and took the carb apart and cleaned everything like in this video but when I give it gas it takes for ever to idle back down but it eventually does after about 5 or 6 seconds there is no leaks or anything im at a total loss
I’m no mechanic I’m just like you trying to figured it out, but you prob need to adjust the air screw. It’s the flat head screw by the idle. Videos I’ve watched say screw it all the way in and then make 1 1/2 revolutions back out. Hope that helps.
@@markjackson160 Unfortunately I tried that lol even tried a rebuild kid and still nothing so I threw a whole new carb at it and instantly fixed it lol So I have no idea lol I dont see any cracks or anything so im at a loss maybe it was cracked somehow internally and i couldnt see but a new carb fixed it
@@its_evers6445 Yeah that ended up costing you some money! I know you got it fixed, but when you put that carb kit on did you replace the pilot jet? Its pressed in there, pretty hard to get out. It stands straight up next to the main jet
@@markjackson160 literally everything you could replace on it was replaced lol this is the one out of probably 60 ive done is the only one that has ever got me so I bowed and bought a new carb lol
@@robertmagallon4087 idle should be 1600-1800 rpm. Turn your mixture screw just until you get the highest idle then stop. Then adjust your idle to 1600-1800 rpm.
Yes, there is a tapered groove on the slide that goes on the idle adjustment side, and a long groove that goes on the opposite side and aligned with a pin.
Gas should come out when you loosen it. It's the drain for the bowl, loosen it and drain the gas out when you are storing it or putting it up for any amount of time, lightly tighten it when you're done.
@@TepcoCycleRepair awesome thank you!! The bike is an 04 it's bogging out forgive me if I misspelled that but I think I might need to take the carb apart and do exactly what you did in your video..
My yfz450r 2016 wont start when i try turning it on i hear a loud crackling noise coming from solenoid i replaced the solenoid still wont start battery is good but i dont know if its my starter motor is their any way i can send you a video to get some input from your side?
You can pull the starter and bench test it. You can also go to my "about" page and see my email if you want to send a vid, I'll try to see what it's doing.

This fixed my issue. My float was stuck and the bowl drain tube was constantly draining. No more issues 😊
I want to say thank you. Thank you. Very good walkthrough. It turns out it was just a bad spark plug, but oh well. Now I know! I appreciate it.
Great video, I will be doing this carb cleaning this weekend.
Great video by the way very informative and pleasing to watch
Thanks so much for this!

I’ve seen ppl take out the pilot jet. Have you ever?
Not on these, I have a fine piece of wire to use if it's clogged.
Anyone know where I should put my idle and fuel screw set too with the uni filter?

Does the slide go in a certain way

This video so good I’m ready to buy a snap on #2Phillips
They are worth every penny..😁
What size carb is that?
Hey quick question that screw at the bottom of the float on my bike if I loosen the screw gas leaks out, should that screw be tight or loose?

Will a crf50 run with no air filter/breather as in wide open?
Probably like garbage without the proper tuning
