By The Talented @xXasdfMAN12Xx AKA: Sean Wolf
Video idea: what weapons can kill 100 zombies the quickest with the fewest resources (stamina, bullet.ammo) and with the least damage taken.
Clubs or knifes 😂 (knifes better but higher risk of being damaged which is due to skill based)
@@VenoPlays01 Actually, knuckles are far better than clubs or knives against groups.
With one of the skill books that gives lifesteal, Healing Factor, full Raider armor and maxed out perks, you can basically come out with no HP losses (and you won't ever run out of stamina thanks to "stamina on kill" thing); does not use ammo, deals pretty insane damage, attacks very quickly, very viable on higher difficulties.
Clubs are fine for single target but I noticed they kinda struggle against big amount of enemies (while knives are 99% based on surviving until the enemies bleed out, during testing it turns out it's slow and dangerous to play like this, esp. because knives are Agility weapons so you would probably miss out on Healing Factor and Pain Tolerance)
If you play on a low difficulty, it is possible that sledgehammers can do it the quickest (killing several normal zombies at once); on higher difficulties sledgehammers are the slowest though I think.
Melee 100%
Explosive crossbow bolts
@@ReclinedPhysicist Truthfully, it's probably somewhere at the top, but if we'd go for fewest resources as the comment said, you can just yeet a ton of pipe bombs which are dirt cheap.
Honorable Mention: Putting 1 point into lockpicks day one will give you higher rates for Forge Ahead books without putting points into engineering. Plus, instant lockpick recipe and better lockpicking chance.
It’s only good for the first 15 magazines. After you get 15 points into workbenches, the effect goes away. You could always just horde the magazines so you don’t go over the cap and then read them all at once while wearing the nerd outfit tho.
@@robhayes4352 putting a point into engineering decreases time required to make anything. It adds up immensely because you need to make more and more forged iron and steel as you progress. It's a good idea to put one point into engineering, daring adventurer, and lock pick in the first few days
Parkour is just great. So many safe spots in open areas become available when you can jump that high. Watched a vid from JaWoodle not too long ago where his horde base basically failed and he was running around his base-POI, jumping up on top of a ~3 block wall as needed, and that basically got him through the whole horde night.
That was a fun episode.
I don't see anyone talking about spec'ing into Electrocutioner stun batons are by far the most over powered weapon in the game especially with the repulser mod. You can do tier 5 and 6 without worrying about running out of ammo and hold a door on horde nights pretty much by yourself depending on latency.
Deep Cuts with a Machette (or knife) is absolutely awesome. (plus the mod that gives bleeding dmg is a bonus)
The thing I hate about parkour is that if there is a low hanging roof you can't jump without hitting your head. Sure you can crouch jump but there have been so many tines I couldn't get into angled attics without having to destroy the roof it's annoying.
Yeah parkour can be a problem. One of the modders is actually changing it to a double jump. That way you can just do a normal jump and do a double jump if you want to do The higher One.
A hold for higher and tap for short hop would also work well
I prefer the 4x4 over the gyrocopter, there I said it.
Gyro is too slow and the fact that it can't do a vertical take off is insane. Ur not the only one who prefers the 4x4 😊
1. Parkour
2. The Penetrator
3. Miner 69'er
4. Run and Gun
5. Physician
For some builds, Healing Factor and Hidden Strike are also great.
Since the traders don’t sell tier 6 weapons, armors and tools regardless on your Daring Adventurer level it’s ultimately a waste unless you want the double quest reward.
Even with 3 points in Daring Adventurer you can outpace the quality of equipment they sell by focusing on the quality you can craft.
Since there are things you’ll need to craft anyway it’s impossible to avoid crafting without limiting your progress. And maybe it’s just me but when I do want to buy a specific item that’s when the traders decide not to stock it through multiple restocks.
Parkour level 4 is a blessing and curse. It’s saved my life plenty of times but it can cost your life just as easily. Outside you can bounce around and cheese the game. Inside it can prevent you from jumping out a window or something as you hit your head on the window and bounce back in. Sometimes just navigating a POI with Parkour 4 becomes a test of your patience.
I feel the FunPimps need to add key press time into the jump mechanic. Quick tap of the jump key for a small jump and normal press of the jump key for high jump.
I agree for later, but isnt there that potion/drink that you can reset. Get it early, use it, and when you get to tier 6, can you just reset the skills? Grandpa's Fergit'n Elixer
i am not sure why people wouldn't want intellect. the biggest bulk of important books are unlocked with it. vehicles books, trap books, advanced engineering books, not to mention the bartering aspect is extremely important.
and the stun baton is hella strong
@@CasualAF691 it can be. i am running it now. that mod that comes with it is really good if you keep the horde in near single file.
I'm not sure if I agree on taking Daring Adventurer that early, since most newer players are not going to have the money to buy iron tools at that stage, but the rest of these are very solid picks. To be clear I'm not saying DA is a bad pick, I just don't go for it that early myself.
Regarding miner 69er and busting thru blocks, always take a look around strong blocks to see if weaker ones are around it. There's no reason to break thru a 10k vault door if the blocks around it are only 1200. It's also to your advantage to break out the block at head height, and the one above it. This means if you go in and there is a group of zombies, you can jump back out and eliminate them at the bottleneck as they try to jump up on to the block to get out. (I hope that makes sense)
It's not hard to get the money to buy an iron pick on day 3 or 4.
That's good to hear! I will have to try in a future playthrough!
all good skills, I did not know that the daring adventurer skill could be so good at the beginning like that. I usually take a point or 3 when I'm around level 20-30 to get those better items. I will have to try taking a point in the first week of my next playthrough
Earned my like and sub for this video solely because of the breakdown on the traders. This info is PRICELESS for starting out. Being able to get to iron or steel tools faster is huge early game. Only downside is you need a duke making system to be able to afford the items, but that’s not hard to do, legit or cheese tactics can make that happen in only a few days in game.
I always default to parkour master since i love having jump height as a crutch.
Miner 69'er has busted my POIs on more than one occasion now: What I mean to say is, on at least two occasions on Level 4 and 5 POIs I have broken through a wall on a "clear" mission that I was more than likely not supposed to, and this caused the last zombie (or the area) to bug and searching everywhere where the orange dot appears I wasn't able to find the last Z.
Sometimes they can spawn under the structure. Seen this happen a few times. Zombies are not always on the map. They spawn in around you. Sometimes that goes wrong. Has nothing to do with miner. Seen it happen even when following the proper path.
@@Firespark81 They can glitch under the ground when taking damage when they go into crawl mode. If the dot is on the compass, dig down from the top. I'm willing to bet there is a crawl space like in-between a ceiling and the floor above they got glitched into.
There are a few poi's that require specific triggers to activate for zombies to spawn. Like flicking a switch or crossing a specific threshold. For example, there is a school that if you enter by the back playground there are no zombies outside. However if you enter the playground from the school door they want you to, it triggers the playground zombies to appear.
Daring Adventurer: not worth it. No use for buying stuff early with coin you will not have.
Parkour: Agreed
Miner: Not worth it. Putting points here will ruin your progression. There are so many lootables where Tool Mags can appear in, you will find nothing but tool mags for a long time. Slowing down ll other progression.
Physician: Good Perk if you can spare the points.
Miner is S Tier.
Personally I start stacking dukes pretty fast, questing and eventually doing scrapping at the same time is the first thing I focus on. Plus, if you get unlucky with forge books and/or finding cooking pot/grill you can buy one pretty fast, which solves early game instantly
I'd like to agree with you but iv had nothing but good from daring adventure it's one of the first perks I put points into and miner I can see your argument for but it's a good perk when your needing resources especially late game like oil shale
i wouldnt put it at level 1. but like level 8 its defenitely worth it. after 3 days you should have at least a few thousand coins.
Remember physicians passive healing pulls from your hunger bar. This can really hurt you early game when you are struggling with food
It does not provide passive healing. You are thinking of healing factor. And yes that burns more food but its a bug that is apparently never getting fixed.
@@Firespark81have you tested if the bug is fixed?
I love your videos. So thorough and detailed. I really like seeing the code. Its very helpful.
I like "one point wonders" I like them in Diablo 2 and now they are in 7DtD 🙂
I just maxed looter and adventurer cuz ima grubby little loot goblin
Generally very good picks imo. Just be aware that to put that 1st point in physician will require several into int 1st and you can always use steroids to mitigate any damage from broken or sprained limbs, allowing them to heal albeit with a debuff...
Movement is life - brad pitt world war z
Did they ever patch out the instant death from max physician working on auto sledges? It was a very op and hilarious on horde nights.
Parkour > run and gun > mining skills doesnt matter after that
Max out daring adventure fast. The 2 rewards early on is OP. Especially when doing level up tier quests.
I did this in one playthrough and yea its nice. You also get to pick 2 rewards on the challenges when you complete them as well.
They randomly had this on premium plus then took it away lol
I went all in as a brawler and I literally never lose HP, at least not for long. I regen HP so fast it is crazy! Yeah, my character will eat about 5 elephants worth of food per horde but I don't care. Even bears, wolves, and mountain lions are no challenge and make for easy groceries so I am set 🤣. Then I went into intellect and at level 70 I am doing absolutely great since I can make meds easily and get food. So I am basically Wolverine now. 😂
Brawler is pretty OP for sure.
If you are burning through food and water try the nomad outfit it'll decrease the amount of food and water you use Q5 is 50% less with a 25% decrease while regaining stamina it's made a big difference in how much food and water I need.
@@shutupkittyxD I totally do use the nomad mask! It is awesome!
It's my favorite build but high maintenance, you really need fort bites health bars and beer to make it shine moonshine to show off
Also not really worth it till midgame as you NEED t6 armor and steel knuckles plus the healing from punches book
Love you! Got steel weapons on a early start
If I could add, spend your skill points only on one weapon of your stat of choise, like str, you should invest only on clubs, cuz sledgehammers need level 5 and managment to shine, shotgun needs level 3 at least and sawoff sg. if you use one on each trying to get books early, you can end with weak club and not having materials to make the other 2.
i run hammer, so doors good running no needed. max out hammer in str build and most of these skills are for other people. i just go through door zombies ect ect without the need for most of those skills at all. the looter i do jump into that once i have my hammer up and running. i start with two str two hammer. (cant remember the name of the of hand) now you can knock them down and pop there heads more then most weapons can do even at steel well having only a teir 1 stone hammer. once i have killing power i spread out a bit. works for me late game and higher server levels in the game. its so op some servers wont let you use them in pvp because you can just ambush people and one shoot them with the steel hammer no matter there level or gear.
Noob here, what is people's take on 1 point in Master Chef? It does really help with getting better drinks and bacon and eggs. Is that worthwile?
More things to worry about food and water can be a bummer for the first few hours of day 1 but some quests and a cooking pot will change that quickly so focusing mainly on zombie killing and survival from said zombs like parkour lvl 2 for example and ofc putting points into whatever melee you decide to go for
I been thinking about putting some points into master chef not because I need food but because there's some foods that give you some different bugs like pumkin pie I think it is gives you a 5% bartering buff and the perk helps you cook stuff faster also use less resources so I think it's an ok perk to put some points into later when you have points in the most important stuff already
I like it for the significant boost (40%?) in cooking speed. Default cooking speed is SLOOOOW currently, so the point helps save time (and in some ways will lower your heat production since the campfire won't burn as long).
@@VenoPlays01parkour is so overrated. If you have to jump off a building that early on you’re already screwed. The ability to jump higher is more valuable to me than higher falling
@@tomkapa parkour is jumping higher 😂 Lvl 2 gives you the ability to jump 2 blocks not 1. And higher gives you the ability to jump 3 blocks? I don't get your point. You tried to correct me but then agreed with me 🤷
I agree with everything except for daring adventurer. I don't put a point into it until I have some money to buy good gear. So maybe end of week 2 when I need a decent bow and can't make one.
I think you mean Better Barter. Thats the skill for buying. Daring Adventurer is about the rewards you recieve for quests, not buying/selling.
@@robhayes4352 Did you watch the video?
@@Re3Nshe's right.
@@punishedmatteson7108 what do you mean he's right?
@@Re3Ns Better Barter is for buying from the traders, whereas Daring Adventurer is for quest rewards(Dukes and XP before fourth point).
"well Timmy." 🤣🤣
Solid choices, I always put my 1st 4 points into -
• Salvage Operations: Reasons being getting that wrench early on [Scrapping 4 Fun] and it increases the chance of getting [Wasteland Treasures] book series.
• Lock Picking: (I know its been been nerfed to 15 for [Forge Ahead]) but I want it more for the [The Great Heist] book completion.
• Electrocutioner: For finding more batons in loot & 10% Damage with them.
• Intellect: So I can get [Physician 1] sooner than later.
After that I place 1 into [Grease Monkey] to get those [Vehicle Adventures] moving along.
Then I beeline for [Parkour 2], from there I keep pumping points into [Intellect] until I can Max out [The Daring Adventurer] getting more [Armored Up] faster as a result.
Once I have [The Daring Adventurer] maxed out I turn in any Challenge Rewards I have, so I can pick 2 rewards.
I then take the Challenges XP I saved up and dump any points I get we're I need them the most like farming & mining.
Solid advice imo! Been playing since A12, but I didn't know that anything increased the odds on specialty books! Thanks a million for that btw! 😅
Locking picking almost made the cut here but I felt being able to heal sprains was a bit stronger.
Looks like this video is picking best skills based on "Quality of Life". They are all generically good skills which will benefit you regardless of your playstyle or build. So I don't disagree but it would've helped to make this clear from the outset.
The best skills in the game are the ones that can be used with almost any playstyle. Otherwise you are limiting people which means they may only be the best for some people but not other which makes them not really the best.
Strongly disagree on putting points into daring adventurer right at the start. Iron gut, healing factor, your main melee weapon and rule1 cardio is helping you waaaay much more on the first 2 days. You don´t get enough money right at start to profit from daring adventurer instantly. Also for clearing up a path in POI, i would rather suggest Salvage operations and opening up doors and walls with your wrench/ratchet/impact driver, having iron breaker, bunker buster and wood splitter mods in them. If you don´t mine, miner69er is a waste of points as salvage operation also gives you a lot more when salvaging, wich you have to do in the game no matter how you play and it saves inventory space as you don´t need to carry around the axe and pickaxe.
Daring adventurer also gives you better rewards, not just a a better trader inventory
@@BoengRonkes Yeah 5% more dukes if you put one point into it, not worth it on day one 10am. Not saying it´s a bad perk, just saying that there is way more important things to spend your first four points on that actually help you survive better.
@@pApA0LeGBa Better quest rewards AND more dukes. The quicker you level it, the more you will get out of it, too.
@@BoengRonkes Again, we are talking about day one in the morning and where to put your first points. He suggests to take daring adventurer with one of those four points. And that is not a good idea.
My GF, my brother and me are new to 7d2d. And I put my first points exactly into these 4 skills (melee weapon is spear). We are at day 6 and I didnt died yet, my brother and GF died already once.
So I am glad to hear, that my tactic is actually good and more experienced players would do it the same. I already have iron gut at level 2 and it feels like it would help me a lot the first few days. I consume way less resources, which is great for the beginning without money.
Awesome video!
All good skills that I require on my play throughs.
salvage, daring adv., jumping,
I have an exp question. I want heavy EXP. Do I build a zombie killing arena in wasteland city? Or anywhere in wasteland? I guess I pick somewhere in the middle of the road so it won't get wiped if I want to do missions/quests? Thanks for your videos. They're neat.
I'd still do a PoI. I kind of made a mistake and did an easy high level PoI near a trader, but I get a lot of loot on horde night.
@chaosof845 you want to build a screamer base for an xp farm
You can place a land claim block in a POI to prevent it from being reset for a quest.
There is a temp fix for sprains. Stick a needle in your butt ;)
I maxed better barter and daring adventurer right off the start. It sucks its locked behind Intelligence tree , cause i had to max that too, and that means Im basically forced into using these stupid batons.
Wdym, you can use anything you want. You can literally learn every single perk in the game except for 4. You can level to 300.
@@BoengRonkes yeah i just mean, it took so many skill points to finally max better barter/daring adventurer. and it made me get 10 Int. meaning the batons are now super OP. so if I were to use other weapons at low levels id be losing tons of damage for a long time until I also max the other tree out. Ofc u are right its just gonna make me really weak for a long time if i dojnt use the batons. I kinda dont like the new skill tree for this reason. The weps should be deatched from the perks
@@zeebpcI agree completely despite loving the batons lol
agree
What stage do traders start stocking chainsaws and augers? I'm on teir 3 trader quest I'm a level 98 I think. I also have better bater and daring Is adventure maxed out yet I get weapons and tools that are 90% of the time are yellow or lower with a rare chance of getting blue quality weapons and tool day by day 3 found a blue steel pickaxe but ever sence then I almost never see the trader selling anything above yellow quality. I haven't done many trader quest to be fair bc I've been focusing on exploring, looting and killing zombies
Tradera were nerfed to the ground. Devs felt that using skill points and questing was too strong.
I figured daring adventure our first the first day. I read all the non combat skills.
I'm on Tier 5 trader missions and I maxed out
daring adventure
salvage operations
Looting
Bartering. And now I make 40k+ in car parts a night not including missions loot and loot from cars. I have over 200k in coins and I'm also level 205.
Doesn't 1+10*(1+1)=21?
No, you do the parenthesis first so it becomes 1+10×2=22 because 1+10=11 & 11×2=22.
Math is hard
@@Firespark81 Admittedly I am a bit confused. As I understand it you are supposed to do the parenthesis first, then the addition, then multiply. If that isbtrue then the answer is 22.
Absolutely, you always multiply first. I think it's 4th or 5th grade math
Edit: to avoid confusion, the math is first (1+1)=2, then 10*2=20, then 1+20=21
@@ariisee Hmm... Ok I guess.... LOL, math is hard. Who makes them rules anyway? I read left to right! 🤣
Steroids can be usefull to negate sprains.
yea but splints are super cheap.
@@Firespark81 yeah. But you keep getting damage when jumping or sprinting, I usually do a combination of splint + steroid until I get my point on Medical.
How does daring adventurer work in multiplayer with different skills and levels of players?
What do you mean? It only affects you if that is what you are asking. You will see different items than everyone else.
@@Firespark81 Really? I thought in multiplayer game a trader will offer the same goods to everyone. Nice to know it's individual-based.
The trader inventory is the same for everyone but what you can see and buy are different based on your trader stage. If you're the only level 200 in a server full of level 10s, only you will see the Gyrocopter selling at the trader.
@@ShianVideos ok thanks, that's good to know.
5 minutes to explain daring adventurer is a bit much Timmy, just looked at comments instead to save time
Wrong. The best skill is better loot provided you go to the wasteland ~lvl 10. I start farming zombie bears and dogs which drop a red loot bag 100% of times.
That is a terrible way to farm loot. Super inefficient. But you do you.
@@Firespark81I wouldn't say super inefficient. They are plentiful and if you can easily take them out the loot can be very rewarding. Granted it's not likely to be able to easily deal with them until later game, it's not a terrible idea. I found myself in the wasteland waiting for traders to open on restock day and decided to just farm the dire wolves and zombie bears. Got so much loot in 2 game hours I had to go drop stuff off before I could visit the traders. Not to mention its very fun just going nuts in the wasteland. The constant danger is an experience in itself. I 100% recommend it. It's fun to live a little lol
@@InfiniteKhaos You got that from the game files just like the person who created this video, right?
@@2.GendersOnly what are you talking about? I said quite a bit and nothing had to do with game files...
Edit: if you are referring to my way of sometimes farming loot because it's a fun and challenging way to do it then you are talking to the wrong person. Idgaf what anyone says is the best way to do something, I do it my way which is the way that is the most fun for me. Think for yourself and try something that you didn't see some content creator tell you to do.
Double edit: Also I never said dude was wrong, I just said in my opinion it isn't "super inefficient" and that it is fun. I never claimed it's the best way to get loot. But it is an option.
@InfiniteKhaos Bruh. I wasn't trying to insult you in anyway. I just wanted to know if your opinion comes from the game files or from the amount hours that you wasted playing it.
No thank you. I would rather take advice from someone who actually pulls facts straight the game files VS someone who spits opinions based off of a couple thousand hours that they wasted playing it. So thank you but no thank you.
1+10x(1+1) is 21 (1+10)x(1+1) is 22
Why. Is. Bro. Talking. Like. That.
bro has to think before every word
Best skills to be a noob 4ever... you just got 1 right and for wrong reasons... (and no, is not phisicist, is not a bad skill but not to pick at first, in the begining is better to pick healing factor)
The trouble with healing factor is that regenerating health faster means your food meter goes down faster, and food can be a pain in early game even without healing factor.
Thousands of hours in. I've never once needed parkour. Totally a liability, you don't need to escape if you've simply eliminated the zombies instead. Also that's not how PEMDAS works. It's obviously Multiplication and Division BEFORE Addition and Subtraction lmao jfc
I haven't died in my 1.0 playthrough yet. 100+ hours in game. Parkour just isn't necessary. It probably makes you think of ways to "get away" and cause hesitation or misjudgement. Simply kill the threat by maxing out dps
So by you 2 say this. You must be playing on the hardest difficulty with the hardest settings, right?
Parkour is one of my favorite skills, personally. Increased jump height AND decreased fall damage in a single perk is insane utility. If you're putting points into agility, it's a must have - even at 2/4, it is very strong.
@@2.GendersOnly of course. Just knock them down. Once you're past the early game you won't need to run away anymore
@@2.GendersOnly deffo on easy mode
