/* ---- VIDEO INFORMATION ---- */
Ok so The Boys Episode 6 is now here and the Herogasmic entry is airtight with easter eggs, hidden details and also several callbacks to the comics. Throughout this video we'll be going in deep as we run A-train on everything that happens in it. So sit back, shut up and pull out your soldier boy because this is about to get diabolical.
Now the opening of the episode somewhat mirrors the ending and this idea of moments repeating has been seen throughout the series. We had the scene in which starlight clenched her fist behind her back which was then followed up at the end of episode 3, Mothers Milk watched Soldier Boy on the TV before he then watched him being tortured in Russia and so on and so forth. In the opening and close of this episode we get videos filmed on cellphones that have their own meanings. The first is an absolutely hilarious parody of the Imagine video by Gal Gadot that was dropped at the beginning of the pandemic. This was pretty tone deaf and it featured a number of celebrities singing the John Lennon classic. Gal was trying to talk about the world at the time and how they were all in it together which is something Deep also says.
-
It got criticised because people were obviously losing their lives and livelihoods and Deep here is talking about how everyone is fighting the threat of supervillains even though the Supes are the only ones that actually stand a chance.
The video at the end is Starlight exposing the Truth about Vought and Homelander to her followers and she's actually putting herself in harms way whereas for the celebrities it's just a hollow gesture.
Starlight doing this also mirrors Victoria Neuman
Absoilutely hilarious way to open up the episode and I know the creative team got a lot of flack when they were writing this season because they said they'd have elements inspired by certain aspects of the pandemic. There's a number in this episode but I think they handle them really well and always take the p*** out of both sides on it.
Now the video is filled with celebrities including Patton Oswwalt, Josh Gad, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, Elizabeth Banks, Kumail Nanjani and Rose Byrne.
Cut to Crime Analytics and we see that Deep has fired everyone there. One thing I didn't notice last week but did now that they're standing side by side is that Ashley's new CEO suit is based on Homelander's cape. She's already copied some of his sayings and this shows that she's very much mimicking him possibly because she's afraid.

HeavySpoilerGasm Breakdown 👍🏽
Hey Paul did you feel remorseful for A-train?
I'm actually sad what happened to him
The definition of Redemption:(
Soldier boy being good git me happy but I'm sad he's dead 😔
Homelander talking to himself in the mirror is definitely a callback to Willem Dafoe as the green goblin in Spider-Man. The "Say it!" moment screams Dafoe as the goblin and it was eerily similar.
The fight scene was the best. Loved finally seeing hughie and butcher square off as supes!
Orgy was warned at the beginning with before the episide started . like what they do to say graphic warning and adult content
Homelander reactions when he got hit by Billy's laser eyes. He was dumbfounded 😆. Have to say this is one of the best episode out there.
I loved it. My favorite fight scene of the show. The build up has been great and seeing butcher, huey and soldier boy wreck him was just bliss. I'd prefer to live in a world with soldier boy than homelander. Remember, no Russian.
@Abe Froman Technically not wrong, Butcher was struggling a bit at the end so it wouldn’t be really wrong to call them his “lesser” eyes 😂
I entirely thought his conversation with Homelander earlier in the season was a hallucination. TBH I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't.
He finally got challenged by people who could actually defeat him which was amazing, it was amazing to watch.
@@odunayoadebayo1757 Absolutely amazing.
“What…the fuck” from Homelander cracked me up and just had me hyped up. Also seeing Butcher smile after enjoying knowing he could take Homelanders punches equally made me smile ear to ear 😆 By far the best scene in the entire show for me.
If you just shot a normal guy with lasers and he walked up and did the same thing to you you'd be surprised to
“Scorched ERF”
Yes bro lol I couldn't stop smiling. He couldn't wait to get hands on em
Honestly this was such a long built up, ever since S1 we were waiting for them to fight like that and we got it and it was orgasmic
You have to think ... homelander doesn't know how to fight. He flies in and throws a punch or later beam and thats usually it... where butch knows how to fight , add super power and I think butch jas the upper hand
Homelander definitely expected to have a showdown with Soldier Boy, but being lasered by someone he thought meatbag, was the first time when he felt vulnerable. And I absolutely love the acting and Homelander's reaction to this. Can't wait for the next 2 episodes.
2? Thought they only go up to E7?
@@spendingtimetogether8428 Its 8 episodes this season
Exactly! I was SO looking forward to this showdown, and seeing Homelander eat some humble pie as he's never really been tested before.
SR, Well Said Mate! Excellent scene and episode! Acting/Homelander n Butcher with Homelander as you said Vunreable 1st time ever n Billy's Smile then Smiling knowing he can take Homelander! Cheers
@@Zazzoto Awesome, more episodes, tx!
Can we also give some credits to the writers? They even made minor characters like Ashley stand out and have her own arc!
I know. Im never mad, no matter who is on screen.
I honestly hope Ashley pulls through and gets free from the weight of her fear. Actually felt kinda bad when she showed her vulnerable side to Starlight but then quickly snapped back to her usual self.
i LOVE ashley
Ashley is funny af
To be fair, she was also kinda important in the comics too especially pulling her hair out
The last shot of Homelander in his room with a bruise on his face is really the turning point for him. He's been outsmarted and castrated by more connected people like Stan Edgar before, but he's never been physically overpowered or even properly injured. It's a blemish, literally and metaphorically, on his perfect form and that will give rise to his alter ego, the 100% Supe. Notice how when the camera moves away from him, you see another mirror roughly showing where he should be standing, but there's no reflection. Could mean his human side is gone and the mirror image is now in control, OR even the opposite, he can't see the 100% pure version of himself when he's injured, a condition that he's only ever seen as a human trait.
Starr's acting in this has been flawless, dude should get an Emmy
Tbh he survived against Soldier boy, super butcher and super hughie. I have a new found respect for homelander, I was honestly not even expecting him to 1v1 soldier boy but he literally almost killed soldier boy before butcher intervened.
Homelander da 🐐, no 🧢
@@magzdilluh Word
You are all cringe. He's the devil and you love him. Unsurprising really
It took 3 people to over power him briefly.
The scene where Homelander is Green Goblin-ing in the mirror, and the editing between the two psyches of Homelander? Give Anthony Starr all the awards please.
Homelander has a lot of conversations with himself in the comic books, and he does it looking at the mirror.
@@jeyfomson6364 I’m show-only at this point, though the consensus I’ve read is the show is as good as (maybe superior to) the source materials.
EDITED: Sam Raimi’s first Spiderman flick came out years before The Boys did. So, who did what first? 🤔
@@anndruh The concept of a characters shadow personality talking through a mirror or water reflection has been done many times before through various mediums long before Mr raimi or The Boys. And thats besides the point, all i was saying is its something he does in the comics a lot and it was stated in the video. Its perfectly fine if your "Show-only" at this point. Peace ✌
Its a crime Anthony Starr hasn't been given an award. Or Ryan, most child actors I've seen are crap but he's not.
Ikr! His acting skills are on another level!
Soldier Boy and Billy Butcher going on Homelander gave the Civil War vibes of the fight between Iron Man vs. Captain America and Winter Soldier.
I was watching civil war yesterday and this episode at night, and yes it was almost parallel to the fight from the movie! I love catching these similarities between superhero movies and the boys! Amazing show!
But of course, because its The Boys, they added a naked guy to the mix
@@bloodyneptune If someone could teleport, their clothes wouldn't. marvel is stupidly wrong almost all of the time with how things would work

Marvel can definitely learn from The writing on this show. Was on the edge of my seat. Every week it keeps getting better and better. Wondering how they’re gonna top this.

So many satisfying scenes in this episode
1. Ashley calling out A-Train's BS
2. Homelander doing self talk and showing his weakness
3. Kimiko saving both Frenchie and Cherie from Little Nina (though i think NiNa might come back for them)
4. Annie finally starting to stand up for herself and do things her way (that talk with Neuman was just chef's kiss. I expect they'll have a face to face match)
5. And of course, Homelander getting his ass handed to himself, though he did a Stormfront move in the end
A-train turning an L-racist to roadkill takes the cake tho
The way kimiko saved them without her powers
The Termite Stomp. And where is Maeve?
Yes. Ashley just had enough of A-Train's shit. In the end A-Train is just a selfish piece of shit.

They might be setting up for him to be homelanders father. The timing adds up, he mentioned how he wanted to have his own "rugrats", how HL has mommy and daddy issues, and how HL is supposed to be the next generation of vought. Would be extra insane if liberty/stormfront is the mother
@@mr.bubbles4439 oh god😂
Black Noir “won’t do anything without Vought’s say-so” also hints at Stan Edgar being the one who orchestrated the deal with the Russians
You nailed it
I think Stan Edgar might be using The Boys to test the new compound V drug. Honestly makes sense how they were able to get their hands on so much. It doesn’t exactly make sense that Maeve can just get ahold of the stuff. Might be a whole rabbit hole just from that premise.

I swear, when Billy hit Homelander with heat vision I completely lost it. That 3v1 was amazing. We had been waiting for that moment and they did not disappoint. The quality of the Boys just keeps going up.
I hate to say it but I gained a little respect for Homelander after that fight because he’s usually the bully picking on people weaker then him but this time the odds was against him and he still ain’t fold he was taking on all three two of which had temporary powers!
I think this may be the strongest season of The Boys. Starr's acting is just fantastic.
Justin Stoll, There's NO filler scenes either! But it's The old "Well if We didn't have A New Hope, Empire Wouldn't of Been So Amazing?" But Yeah Man Best Season Probably My Favourite Episode as well! Butcher n Hughie Are Likeing The V Especially Hughie! The Homelander getting Licked by Butcher, Hughie the Soldier Boy! But just before... Boom to Space probably? I heard this when I watched Invincible "Just throw them into Space!" Lol Cheers Mate
The fight scene alone made this season better then the first 2
This cast is definitely really talented.
He needs to win an emmy just based on the face acting hes doing
Fight scene with SB, Butcher and Hughie against Homelander mirrored the “Girls Get it Done” fight with Maeve, Starlight and Kimiko against Stormfront last season. I love all these callbacks.

I noticed it too!!
(The) Boys Get It Done! 😏
Last season was for the girls. Now it's for *the boys.*
@@C.lj6037 true gender equality and i love both scenes so much
Homelander being stronger than soldier boy completely makes sense cause homelander is supposed to be soldier boy 2.0 so vought had to make him more powerful.
However, Butcher seemed to nearly match his strength, or even be equal, and even Hughie got a lick in🤔
@@wojurera3131 all of them combined did prove to be a challenge for homelander

@@mysteryman3616 maybe, homelander is pretty underwhelming. I kinda of was scared that he would smack jensens head of his shoulders, didn't wanna see that, honestly if starlight was there he would have died. Plus soilder boi has th ultimate nullifier. If they fight again it would be different, butcher knows he can keep up now, half the fear is gone or if that head popper was there he would have died. They held him down long enough for a bloodgasm
Gotta love Homelander's slow-burn loss. He's truly trying to hold onto his former life, while literally everyone around him is plotting his downfall. And he knows it...
Part of him wants to be good but he already went to far down the rabbit hole. He's probably goñna lose his shit soon
I liked when Starlight's nose bled the littlest bit. Just Victoria showing her how little effort it would take to kill her. Homelander's surprise as he was lasered by Butcher, "What the fuck?!"
A-Train was all "How can he slap! How can Hughie slap!" Then dragging Blue Hawk across the pavement. Lol.
Ashley finally standing up for herself.
Great episode. Hoping to see much more Soldier Boy in the next 2 episodes. We haven't seen him enough. I'm wondering if Homelander is a genetic creation based from Soldier Boys DNA, essentially making him Homies father.
I took it as Victoria wanted to kill her, but couldn’t because Annie was too strong. She only got a nose bleed.
@@WHSuperman2005 you took it wrong then
@@hiddendagger7291 how do you know they’re wrong?
Remember when Raynors nose bled right before her head exploded. I don't think Victoria was looking at Raynor when that happened so she might be able to plant something in peoples heads that allow her to pop them wherever she is regardless of looking at them or not.
@@Baztiann it's the fucking Lacroix she drank when meeting with her I swear lol
Also notice how Homelander wasn’t able to use his laser eyes when they were holding him down while SB was charging up. Same thing happened with TNT right before SB killed them. I think the power up weakens powers and the beam permanently takes them away
Wow! Good eye!
Well i mean his head was put down not like he was able to shoot at anything in that position
I always took it the TNT twins was because they hadn’t done it in years but I’m into that idea
Holy shit, you're right! Think you're on to something
Nah I think the radiation levels do something with their powers when he’s charging up, weakens them, then when they get hit (kimiko) they have a hard time healing due to their power being weakened. Because how else is kimiko surviving that shot? And if she can take it, why do they think homelander can’t ?
That shit had my heart racing and I didn’t even notice until after he flew away. Antony Starr is one hell of an actor. Bro is so intimidating. Like you don’t know what he’ll do

I have a feeling he returned to Edgar, that’s where his true loyalty lies
@@Franklin_Malloy I feel like he is actually Edgar's brother and they together sold sooilder boy to russians so Edgar can finally sell his compound V to military which has been his goal all along.
I think soldier boy might have been down on power after blacking out and having that episode since he was a walking around a bit slow after it happened and holding his chest
Also SB doesnt seem to care that much he is topped by a knock off
unlike HL
🤔
Now that we have seen the strength levels I dont think SB would die fighting HL
Black Noir did not seem to me to be scared. He just seemed to be on a mission
Homelander's true weakness is his need to be loved. He never had it as a kid. That's how Voight can control him. That's how Stillwell could have such a hold on him. He's never had unconditional love from a parent or anyone. He's probably the most tragic character in the show if you look at it. With all that power he's still just child throwing a temper tantrum for attention and love. It's really sad. He would probably murder me for saying this but I pity him
I agree 100%
I kinda wanna give him a hug and just be a bro and help him to not be a jackass.
Homelander is a lunatic. He talks to himself in the mirror as if he's having a conversation with someone else, has absolutely no sense of real empathy, and represents the epitome of being 'spoiled' in the world. He's not naive but extremely spoiled to the point where he's never had to struggle before. He always wins and therefore we really don't know his limits. When he fought Soldier Boy, what was the point of him matching his strength in the beginning? He later showed that he was much stronger so long as he just actually put some effort into it. He is always so used to not trying that in the beginning of the fight that's what he was doing, not trying. I don't think love is anything HL has lacked in his life. He enjoys it and wants it, but in the end doesn't seem to really give a damn about it compared to his general survival. He seems ok with killing the planet if it came to it. HL was always the center of attention, always had anything he wanted within his reach, always had some crazy lady giving him the mommy milk etc.. He imposes his strength over others to make sure he retains this same attention as an adult. Definitely one of the most interesting characters because despite all his insanity, he's really hard to call.. Like he could literally start doing some solid good shit after claiming to have some revelation about his life and I might just think he could end up a decent dude. At the same time I call him insane because I can still picture him losing his shit one day over something ridiculous. Every time it seems like Homelander can be defeated by leveraging his love in the world, he turns around and just says nah screw it I'll just kill everyone if you try to make them hate me.
This was the best episode of the season and possibly entire series so far. The payoff of having Billy and SB fight Homelander was worth it and it's going to get better from here.
Fr that shit was badass
Bro I thought soldier boy was that dude but Homelander was handling all three even with the temporary compound V Butch and Huwie took smh!
This episode felt like the show dialed up to an 11. It has such a great balance of humor and serious character moments. It's interesting to see this increasing rift between The Boys. I'm excited to see where they take this. Also the Homelander mirror scene felt the most to me like the one with Norman Osborn in Spider-Man.
He even sounded like him. It's almost as if Homelander doesn't realize he's the villain
I got some Moon Knight vibes too. That scene was well done
That's the first thing I thought of! It was such a Green Goblin moment but the boys are known for mocking pop culture 😂
Homelander was actually doing a good job holding his own against two people with the same powers as him.
Which he actually shouldn't. Honelander has never fought anyone in his life that's ever been equal or close right. So he actually shouldn't even know how to throw a punch let alone have fighting prowess. He can't be killed by any other means so he most likely stands around being hit rather than learning dodge techniques. Where ass butcher has been fighting people his entire life so they down played how he would be able to use those powers and upped homelanders. I know it's a practical take on a fictitious show but still.
@@anthonyzullo true, Homelander relies on brute force and barely has any fighting skill or tactics compared to the trained and experienced people. I hope this aspect will be covered at least a bit, if they rematch Homelander
@@anthonyzullo I'm guessing he just has high reaction time...you don't really need to train to dodge something lol and it's never said he hasn't fought anyone

It think he was portrayed as he should have been: average at hand to hand at best
Home lander is still stronger than everyone, he literally would’ve killed soldier Boy if Butcher hadn’t helped…that’s why they had to jump him

My favorite episode of the series I’d say! Imagine if the crime clean up crew had a tiny cloth for Termite toward the end. That would have been hilarious!
@@tmagicinfinity I doubt they even noticed he died
It definitely seems like there's a redemption coming for A-Train. He's most likely going to recover after killing Blue Hawk, but I have a feeling he's going to use his power again to save someone, which will potentially be his end. I think that it will either be Annie or Hughie that he saves, which will probably have some parallels from Season 1 when A-Train accidentally killed Hughie's girlfriend.
Yeah, this was a good move, but not enough to be his final move. I think he has to save Hughie or Annie though for it to be a full personal arc and his possible sacrifice. Vengence isn't a typical arc ender. Also, interesting I'm not seeing as many people drawing the parallel to him dragging Blue Hawk similar to how black people have been historically dragged behind vehicles. I doubt that wasn't intentional and still horrible in its depiction even to a horrible guy, should get more attention that some people have in the real world had that happen to them. The racial commentary with A-Train is so painfully and brilliantly on point, both mocking him and how out of touch he is but also drawing attention to real hate crimes.
Oh dude I thought they were doing Flash but they are totally doing MCU Quicksilver lol. He’s gonna save Hughie or some shit and drop a variation of “bet you didn’t see that coming”.
He’s dead lol. That was his arch. Complete full circle home dawg.
@@RedLegend117 ok racist
He’s gonna join hughie
Antony Starr is brilliant as always. But Mr. Laz Alonso has been knocking it out of the park this season!
I love M.M. He's so handsome!
Hughie was bleeding because, soldier boy is radioactive , remember when he’s sitting with him with the Geiger counter and it’s reading off the charts. At least that is my theory. I think it is a side effect of being in soldier boys presence for too long.
Definitely a possibility
Also what I thought
That or it could be the temp v starting to have a nasty effect on hugies body
Everyone is wrong. Huey is bleeding because the woman that pops heads is reminding him. Just like when she threatened starlight. She was bleeding when the woman looked at her. She has the power to pop limbs, she has the power to make anything explode but that doesn't mean it's 0 to 100, she can do minor damage. Imo. The only connection those 2 would have to bleeding would be through the woman. Also the Geiger counter reading isn't high. Just let's you know it's around.
@@anthonyzullo how would Neuman know where Hughie is and how would that be a good warning if Hughie doesn’t know it’s her doing it. The temp V thing is the most likely one since we’ve seen Butcher suffering from the side effects. The soldier boy radioactive thing also could be the cause
You missed the Brave Maeve popsicle joke - why did the photo go to prison? When kimiko is fighting little Nina she uses the popsicle stick as a shive and it reveals the answer - Because he was framed. Small detail but I loved it.

Nice catch, I saw the joke when she opened it, but missed the punchline
The bait and switch when it came to the sexual depravity was a genius move. The orgy was tame by the Boys standed but episode was unbelievable

@@sirninjaraiden the deep sex scene will make hentai porn enthusiasts happy lol

Who needs to see orgy on the TV anyway when there are lot better orgies on Pornography sites. I expected quality from The Boys and as always it overdelievered.
Is the whole "He's not really worthy" thing with Huey trying to lift Soldier Boy's shield tongue in cheek? Because I thought it was to show just how crazy strong SB is that he casually carries that around
Yeah, the shield is definitely just really heavy lol
@@dm1843 obviously man come on, it's meant to be a parallel it's not actually enchanted by odin from asgard
@@Ant-nh9lq I think it functions to show just how strong SB is and to subtly highlight Huey’s insecurities. His arc this season points to him going down a darker path to feel better and writing it into this scene keeps up with this dynamic without making it the main point of the scene
I think one explanation that would be really clever is that Vought made the shield heavy not just because it makes it more lethal and resistant to damage from SB swinging it around but also that it guarantees no one will ever be seen walking off with it or messing around with it any way. It's so heavy that you'll only ever see SB with it
It looks like it is either made from tungsten or steel and is probably 2-3 inches thick. That thing is damn heavy.
This show has elevated the medium. Show me one other comic book based tv show/ movie that improves on the source material. Usually everything falls short, this has deviated from the comics and yet retained the feel and base of the story. I’m beyond impressed. It’s my favorite show and I love hearing you talk about it when I finish.
Invincible is doing great as well! Can't wait for that showz return
That A-train scene when he was dragging blue hawk was …. Incredible. I can’t even imagine how far he dragged him but yikes
I have a pretty fucked up prediction that feels like the brand of fucked up that the show would pull off:
What if Homelander is Stormfront and Soldier Boy’s genetic progeny? It would be a continuation of his strange mommy issues that began with Madeline Stillwell, and would give his arc of being “pure” a satisfying conclusion. Plus, Soldier Boy definitely knew Stormfront and sounded like he could have been involved with her in the past. Then Homelander would truly be the knockoff and also have an even deeper Oedipus complex.
Love the videos man!!!
Yep, Soldier boy was with Stormfront when she went by Liberty.
Soldier Boy said that he and Stormfront/Liberty founded Herogasm in '52 😀
@Zero It's just op's guess, not likely to happen.
That's a good theory time.
Didn’t expect that fight scene to be as good as it was
I did. But i wasn't expecting it in this episode. It really seemed like a "win or die" confrontation that would end the season or series
yeah usually this show’s fight scenes are kinda lame
@@quanicle101 the fight was lame homelander should been easily wreck and dead but nope they postpone it
I was really impressed with Homelanders fight skills,
I thought Butcher and SB would wipe the floor with him but he actually held his own
Which makes no sense when soldier boy is suppose be more skilled at close combat
@@ericx6969 soldier boy hasn't been in hand to hand combat in a long time so maybe thats why
@@ericx6969 well it took three guys to even stand a chance against homelander and he still had the strength to push em off and fly away. sb was gonna be killed too if butcher and hughie didnt help. so if u do a basic divide by 3 for how many guys it took to almost kill homelander, that means sb is prob only 30 percent as good as homelander power wise. so even if hes a better fighter, a 70 percent difference is still way more then enough to overpower someone who might be the better fighter. and that was just to subdue homelander and almost kill him. not even a full on guaranteed kill. so sb is prob even weaker when u consider that. strong enough to not insta die to hms punches. but not enough to solo him unless he gets lucky or has some help. and i guess u could prob give him some percentage boost since huey was the weaker of the 3. maby divide hughier by 2 and give ten more percent to sb and 5 to butcher. so ya 40 percent as strong as hm, still way under where hm would pretty much still be double packing what sb does power wise. all them fancy martial arts dont matter when ur blocking and taking hits that are pretty much double ur strength.
@@ericx6969 no it completely makes sense cause homelander is the new soldier boy so vought had to make him more powerful.
Indeed👍
I was expecting him to dominate Homelander in hand to hand combat, and that Homelander in turn would resort to his laser and flight abilitites to counter Soldierboy.
I still think Homie would have won in the end if it ended that way. Given the fact that he was an "upgrade" as he claimed. And indeed he was👍 he proved that he was superior by holding his own against 3 supes
Hey man! I’m the actor who played Cold Snap 🥶
Thanks for the shoutout and for highlighting my icicle dildo powers 🤣
Hoping the show does an arc for the G-Force and bring Cold Snap back because as you can see at the end of the episode, he is STILL ALIVE as Starlight is pulling a blanket over him on the stretcher 🥶
Love your video and all your breakdowns + theory time for The Boys episodes! Keep up the great work dude 🤙🏻
K so this episode gave me a fan theory, but I warn you... it's pretty messed up
So in this episode during Homelanders chat with himself in the mirror, he talks about his need to be loved. He also talks about how he wouldn't be this way if he had a mom and a dad. Soldier Boy also discusses with Hughie how he wanted to have some boys with Crimson Countess and raise them to be men. Now, I know it's not a new theory that Homelander is the clone of Soldier Boy... but what if Homelander is the biological son of Soldier Boy? What if Vought sold out the problematic Soldier Boy to the Russians to get rid of him, once a suitable replacement was created?
Now who would be the mom? Obviously not Crimson Countess, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that Soldier Boy may have fooled around on the side. He after all did start Herogasm...
Think about it, Vought wants to create the most perfect All-American Hero they can, but they need to know they can trust the mother to carry the baby to term, she would have to be a supe to handle the pregnancy as well as any extra Compound V, and it would have to be someone who could either be marketable or vanish depending on the situation. What's more American than the son of Soldier Boy and Liberty?
Homelanders powers are a juiced up version of the combo of the two (with the lightning powers becoming laser eyes) which could've come from the child being immediately surrendered to Vought and further experimenting completed. It would also make Homelander and Stormfronts relationship... really messed up, which to be honest? Is on brand with the show. I'm sure there are thing I am missing or forgetting that both prove and disprove this. Did anyone else get this kinda vibe from the episode?
B R U H !
Yes!
IK I'M A MONTH LATE BUT DAMNN
I can safely say? I never thought the guy from Dark Angel/Supernatural and the guy from Xena who played both Cupid & Caesar along with Meg Ryan/Dennis Quaid's son, would ever share a superhero fight scene like this together...but it was awesome!!!! Chills! Had to rewatch it!
@History Eraser Button I'll look that up. I loved Urban as Caesar when I was a kid.
@History Eraser Button Yes, Banshee is awesome!
I can't even imagine how will season finale look like since every episode gets better and better 🤩
I am still extremely curious about Black Noir's character arc. He is still a huge mystery thus far and has also shown very few flaws.
I thought he was gonna come after 'The Boys' after removing the tracker. We will see in the next episodes.
I’m thinking he’s doing something with Edgar and we might see that at the Beaver place we’ve seen referenced before
Pretty sure he is the actual "talent" of Vought and Edgar's most trusted man
@@CHOLGARANG he probably went for a power- up since soldier boy is most likely the reason his face hasnt healed and cant talk..
@@MrGhst-np4zf Also the massive cut on his head in Episode 3 was probably from Soldier Boy's shield
The fight scene was absolute perfection
I love the facial expressions of Homelander and Butcher when they are squaring off with their heat vision - Butcher is absolutely gritting his teeth whilst Homelander is grinning away
The cape gag (and pay off) was brilliant
"I'm the upgrade"
"Scorched earth"
Hughie coming out of nowhere
Homelander with the Stormfront-like exit
The whole battle was sensational!! Absolutely brilliant TV
I love how shaken Homie is by seeing Soldier Boy on the video tape
"I'm going to.. kill him.." - Anthony delivers that line so perfectly and nails the total lack of conviction in Homelanders words!
I'm also liking the tactical use of the Edgar family this season
No Stan in this episode
No Neuman in the previous episode
We had some episodes with no Noir earlier in the season
These 3 have got big roles to play in the final 3 episodes and I can't wait to see it!
This episode was FANTASTIC. The best thing I've seen this week, probably this whole month. The final 15 to 20 mins was just absolutely BRILLIANT and I can't think enough about Homelander, Soldier Boy and Butcher showdown. HOW BADASS WAS THAT?. DAMNNN. Sorry for the caps but that how it got me riled up
When Billy Says “Oi” you know it’s gonna be over for you 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well he did call god the c word 😂
I just loved it. The 3 on 1 fight scene was absolutely incredible. Finally there's someone who can kill Homelander. Homelander never had an actual fight before this in his life. No doubt why he's so scared and so pissed off now. DC and MCU should learn from it how to make their fans happy. Best episode of the season till now.
*people who can kill homelander. SB almost got killed 1 on 1. HL can even kill three of them if he’s prepared and if his mind is right. HL technically got ambushed.
@@P4boot Read the comment again. He said can as in theoretically, due to his laser.
@@P4boot The whole point of the scene is to establish that Homelander is not invincible. A little more time and we'd be looking at a powerless pretty blonde boy, which even Hughie could have punched through
@@TheBallsbreakers no that’s actually false without being able to take homelander a power away he would be able to kill them 1v1 even 3 on 1 tbh
Remember when Homelander told Starlight that if he can't be loved, he would be fine with taking fear instead? Yeah, that's not on the cards now. His worries have gone beyond what even he and his extensive powers can fix. Imagine Homelander, the "big dog" finding out that any rando can now be a supe with powers he can't compete with. Hughey, a teleporter, is even faster than A-Train with super strength. Butcher was dangerous enough as a human and Soldier Boy IS the OG with the power to kill him, proving him being the "upgrade" was just failed marketing that he bought into.
That episode really showed us why 'The Boys' out ranks every superhero show, it was just amazing x

I love Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.
Yeah he’s killing it
Jensen Ackles is finally going to get his step into the A-list opportunities with this role.
Clooney, Michelle Williams, Robin Williams… lots of greats started in TV.
When Frenchie was told to choose between the two best people in his life and just the pleading in his eyes was probably the biggest emotional rollercoaster of the show for me
I just realized this… Singin’ in the Rain is a musical about the transition from silent films to talking pictures… God this show is clever.
One thing most reviewers didn't notice that there was a joke written in Kimiko's popsicle, where the question appeared when she opened the ice cream before she got kidnapped, then the answer appears when she's using the popsicle stick to free herself from the cuffs
didn’t most people notice that
@Big Spill Thanks for saying that. I honestly have negligible interest in her arc, it’s just too boring and stupid.

By far the best episode in the season 💯
Bhai episode kata herne
Best of the whole show i think
@@nev7 yes CHAD I agree with you 💯🔥
The herogasm thing was quite clearly edited out at the last minute. there were several awkward cuts, like the moment where Hughie sees something happening and then there's a very strange cut.
Yes bro, i noticed that as well. there is also a shot where the chick that looks at huey when he teleports into the house, is sitting on the chair and then she’s not, and then she’s standing lol
@@dictatorgu_ well i guess the censors were pissed at the original cut so they made them cut a few scenes here and there if they give us a uncut version im pretty sure it is gonna be nastier
Yeah, I think so. I'm honestly disappointed how they were overhyping this episode and said this episode is traumatizing. The casts said so. Before watching this episode, I was prepared mentally, but it was for nothing. It was just a gross episode. Now I seriously want to know what those traumatizing things are.
@@dictatorgu_ probably her’s super power you never know 😂
I think the scenes are edited country wise like I did not see the Octopus in my laptop in India.
The Bill Cosby drink jokes had be cracking up
The first scene with Homelander (HL) in the mirror gave me "Norman Osborn/Green Goblin" energy.
The 2nd HL mirror scene is more crucial than I originally realized. When the camera pans away from HL, and the mirror he's not looking into comes into the frame, it creates the illusion that HL is looking into a mirror with no reflection. This symbolizes a tremendous loss for HL: his image. HL holds high regard for his public image and the adoration it brings him. He said just as much earlier this season after Starlight threatened him with the Flight 37 video. 22M people watched Starlight's stream live, and we all know how fast things go viral online. Too many people know the truth. So Starlight did make good on her threat to end his career with a video. Just not in a way she saw coming
A-train pretty much did a kabal fatality from Mortal kombat 11
The Homelander solo conversation really reminded me of Dafoe's original turn as the Green Goblin.
Edited because I can't spell.
i felt the same
He even said "SAY IT!" just like Goblin
I love how both butcher and hughie (and MM really) all proved they're willing to die to get the job done
Ngl I was a bit disappointed with how much herogasm was hyped up, but it's just pretty much the club scene from season 1 just with another notch.
At least A Train pulled out Kabals fatality and we got a really anticipated fight scene
The Boys is SOOOO good. Just keeps getting better. Love how they tackle real life issues. Such an entertaining allegory on real life/pop culture.

'impeccable - in accordance with the highest standards; faultless'. Look man, I like this show and this episode very much too, but maybe tone it down with the adjectives and be realistic. I absolutely love how Annie/Starlight is shaping up to be the actual hero who cares about others, while the guys have a giant, entertaining, d*ck-measuring contest in the form of their fight. I've got a sense that Solider Boy might be a bit more redeemable than Homelander as he seems to actually give a sh*t about killing innocent people, for all his outmoded views and arrogance. Poor Kimiko. Also, I thought Herogasm was funny but it really was just background for all the other more important stuff. Funny background.
Annie is such a hypocrite character.
First she did not help the Boys while they were fighting.
Second, She could have just quit but making a video exposing HL that garantees him turning into monster was totally unnecessary.
She is responsible for putting the lives of humanity in danger.
Annie also wrongfully accused SB of murdering those people in Midtown, it was clearly PTSD and SB admitted it himself.
i agree, i love how they didn't make hughie the hero because his insecurities are making him at like a douchebag
@@bikyamasriyya I think Hughie will redeem himself eventually but it will take time!

Homelander’s mirror scene reminded me of green goblin too! How many more of Payback do we have left? Loose threads: Stillwell’s name was linked to an orphanage kid, Stan Edgar, Black Noir…
3:53 no, homelander is stormfronts CHILD, not clone. However, homelander could be a clone or the baby of stormfront and soldierboy.
I can understand Ryan not picking it up but you should have noticed the lolly that Kimiko picks from the box had a question written on it. The answer to that question could be found on the other end. The answer is seen when Kimiko frees herself with the help of the stick later in the episode

@@dantelarzabal6818 wtf
Or Kabals Fatality in MK11 😂
Man that movie messed me up as a kid
I think Black Noir is a "clone" of Soldier Boy, a twist on him being a clone of Homelander. And by clone I mean he has the same powers as Soldier Boy and was always a contingency plan if things got out of control with Payback.
That's why they had him in the flashback to establish that even then, Edgar had someone to bring Soldier Boy down if he needed.
Being black, he couldn't be the face of Vought, unlike Soldier Boy and/or Homelander.
Homelander wasn't even a thing back then
I think it’s because Noir is Stan brother. Him wanting to not wear the mask and Stan denying him that quest was to protect his brother but to protect himself too.
It goes back to Stan being a secretive man. Keeping the public hidden from his normal life and hiding his daughter from VOUGHT.
IF Noir is Edgers brother than Stan would NEED Noir to wear the mask, The CEO having his own brother on the Team of Supes? It would show that he would have his hand on both side and even favor to the supes over the public. We know from the tv show The boys Diabolical that Noir was tasked to watch over Homelander.. sure you could say the comics come into play there but.. we seen the face of Noir.. he’s not a clone of homelander… So why task Noir to watch over homelander?
Because Stan always has his closest people play both sides.. just as he told Homelander durning episode 4.
Stan pushes Supes into the military as well… why start off with black noir? (Season 2) You always start off with your most truest worthy solider, no? Who can you always trust the most? Your own blood.
Just a theory on the black noir twist. Might be more to it (blood taken from other older Supes or maybe a mix of those Supes blood) but I 1000% believe he is Stans own brother.
I see what you’re going for but the Russians were the ones who gave solider boy the power. So it would be impossible for black noir to have that power at the time of solider boy being on Payback.
why can't people accept black not as an original character. He is clone of nobody.
@@Shome2049 that’s not even the case, they’re trying to correlate the show with the comics.
I just want homelander not to die but for soldier boy to take away his powers that though of not having power might be more brutal for him then death
I think homelander was ready for soilderboy and knew that he was extremely strong and was going to put up a fight what he wasn't expecting was Butcher and Huey. It stopped being fun for Homelander when he realized he can't just show up and not run the risk of being killed. It was a phenomenal fight scene. That being said I have a feeling that Soilderboy boy might turn out to be worse than homelander when it comes to being a psychopath and killing and there's a good chance that Butcher might go off the deep end too.
Best episode of the series so far, they gave Homelander the meaning of pain.

A train gets extra points for the Kabal fatality lmao
I know I said the exact same thing when it happens, it was so funny wish we saw the split down the middle tho haha
😏 Now that I read it I agree.
I actually really dislike the fact Blue Hawk was killed like that, it means that he never actually experienced any of the consequences of his actions because his death was basically instantaneous, if he is meant to be the personification of the police's misuse of power that was a bad way to end his character
Did everyone hear the bit that SB started Herogasm in '52 with a gal named Liberty? Stormfront was Liberty.
At first I was a little disappointed SB beamed them again, as I wanted to see some beatings, but then we actually got all these guys fighting Homelander and it was amazing. Episode was nasty without going beyond beyond over the line so I appreciated that too. I know A-Train doesn't deserve forgiveness but I liked his moment with Hughie. If he hadn't sold out Supersonic I would have considered him the Jamie Lannister type because of his arc. Though I guess his bait and switch is reminiscent of Jamie banging Brienne and cutting out, but that was awful S8 nonsense I don't want to think about again. Still, the bad jock boy becoming humble and seeking redemption could have been a cool line. I believe he lives too for a bit but he could very well be doneski
I find it hilarious that the coolest headed Noir actually felt scared to death after seeing that Soldier Boy video. After Homelander called him his most loyal ally, he just scoot right away...
This episode’s second half had me more excited and on the edge of my seat than I think any form of entertainment media in YEARS
If Noir was really solely responsible for selling Soldier Boy to the Russians, why didn’t Crimson Countess cop to that before she died. Granted she might have just wanted to tell him off before the end, but if she thought it might have saved her life, she could have tried selling Noir out first before saying she was on board with the plan.
By contrast, the Twins (TNT) both immediately gave up Noir. Doesn’t quite add up. They are all dead now though, so probably a mystery that won’t be solved. Unless somehow Noir starts talking, but apparently, that hast been a possibility for about 40 years now.
True, that’s a smart thing to notice
Homelander talking in the mirror reminded me of William Defoe's Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin talking to himself in the mirror in Raimi's Spider-man
If they had just one more teammate with V in them they could maybe have held him down long enough for Soldierboy to fully charge up...and if he had and let loose on Homelander, dude would be done.
It was so satisfying to see Hughie and Billy beat the shit out of Homelander. Atrain also finally breaking free was so satisfying to see
I personally loved this episode , I loved how the writers were able to sort of implement homelanders craziness into multiple personalities
I love the face SB gives when he walks in on Butcher and Hughie shooting up temp-V.
Homelander having an alternate personality does fit his narrative since he was always a science experiment and needed a maternal figure which he never got, hence why his mind just snapped out of being conditioned into a child wmd basically. I do like the comparisons now with MM & Starlight teaming up vs Butcher/Hughie and now Soldier Boy. Jensen Ackles killed it this ep
"...a scene in the mirror which reminded me of Gollum..."
Surprised that it didn't remind you of the thing it was much more obviously taken from, which is the scene of Willem DaFoe's Goblin talking to himself in the first Raimi Spiderman film.
Billy’s face was priceless when he managed to punch the shit out of homelander
this episode was amazing. I was extremely surprised for homelander actually recognizing his flaws through the mirror being that he never engaged his flaws throughout this whole show. I can't wait to see how they actually can top this episode.
I liked how flummoxed homelander was when fighting butcher and soldier boy. Probably the first time he's had a proper fight. Normally it's like squashing insects for him.
Well, I think he was just surprised to see that Butcher and Hughie had powers. He pretty much almost crushed Soldier boy in the first 2 seconds.
I think Soldier Boy has seen Frenchie before. He wasn’t hostile towards anyone when he first left the container but once he encountered Frenchie he became hostile. I think Soldier Boy can control the strength of the blast as well with excellent timing when he’s not blacking out as evidenced when Kimiko pushed Frenchie out of the way. Soldier Boy might have adjusted and pulled back but it was already too late. Kimiko wasn’t killed instantly like Crimson Countess was so it makes me think that he is able to control it in some way. This would have been a great way to write Frenchie and Kimiko out of the main storyline and into a sub plot in order to create a connection with Frenchie’s past work with the Russians and Soldier Boy being held captive by the Russians, if that makes sense. I know the timing is well off and Frenchie wouldn’t have been the one to have captured Soldier Boy but it could turn out that it was his father who looks just like him or the more plausible Frenchie did some work that involved Soldier Boy in the last few years. I’m not sure if that makes sense but it made sense to me in some way.
A-train redemption, super good fight scene and more this was indeed good episode
I wouldn’t say it’s redemption, he is far from it. I’d say it’s finally stopping his ignorance and realizing how shitty the stuff he’s done along with how much it hurts to lose someone
