The very best tenor to ever have lived and here he is singing the epitome of tenor arias. Flawless, with power and passion as only this man could achieve. His expression at the conclusion shows just how moved he was to share his gift with all who would listen. Bravo & thank you for sharing.
You "nailed it". Pavarotti had power in his voice. He was, unarguably, the greatest operatic tenor who ever lived. No one can match his power. The song, Nessun Dorma, believe it or not, is a love song. He expresses his undying love for her (but in secret).
Power but controlled power :)👌🏻 what a talent this man had!! Whatever genre of music anyone listens to surely we all must respect a performance like this I’d of been on my feet standing ovation 💯
This is OPERA folks! Its giving everything you've got for three solid hours! Opera singers are the body builders of the vocal world.... and they sing WITHOUT amplification. ( the mics are for recording)
I think this was his final live performance, he's been singing professionally since the 50s, he was 73 here, i think😮😮😮😮 When u get a chance, pull up a dub version so u can read the words. Quite amazing! The whole play too, is amazing. About a chinese king, who is doing everything he can to marry off his spoiled princess daughter. And some of the men who come, to try and win her, and the tricks she pulls, to not! A movie in the 60s, loosely based on this by Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, the taming of the shrew!
The Great Maestro named LUCIANO PAVAROTTI had this incredible ability to touched your SOUL.... using his exceptional VOICE. He usually touched and vibrate the souls of the HUMANS who heard his arias...... and even the ANGELS stopped in fascination just to listen to this miracle voice of a MAN.
You are amazing!...It was a pleasure to see you enjoying that much. Pavarotti died in 2007 from pancreas cancer. In my opinion, no other tenor sang better than him ever, and I was born in an opera singer's family. I started listening to tenors from my early youth (3-4 years old) so I can tell. I never got tired of listening to Pavarotti. At this concert, he did set the bar so high that it will take very long before someone else can keep the last note for such duration and with so much expression. You were amazing and amazed in front of 'perfection', my dear. And let's not forget the aria in and of itself: Puccini composed so many wonderful operas and arias, and this one is one of the bests, artistic, moving, a victory song!. Keep enjoying!
04:07 - The goose pimples start all over your body. In Italy they call him the Great "il Maestro". Like a lion roaring in the jungle proclaming his presence to the world.
None shall sleep, None shall sleep! Even you, oh Princess, In your cold room, Watch the stars, That tremble with love And with hope. But my secret is hidden within me, My name no one shall know, No... no... On your mouth, I will tell it, When the light shines. And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine! (No one will know his name and we must, alas, die.) Vanish, o night! Set, stars! Set, stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!
Power, yes, but incredible CONTROL! "Nessun Dorma" is a challenging aria, and Pavarotti OWNED it! He was the greatest tenor of our time, and perhaps of all time. You might want to listen to his rendition of "e lucevan le stelle": th-cam.com/video/EAqHQMX7GHY/w-d-xo.html
pa va Ro ti. (roll the R) "Nessun(o) Dorma" (No one sleeps). Google "Turandot" for the story, then Google the name of the song for the lyrics. Then you will understand what is happening and how the master Pavarotti made it work so beautifully.
i first heard him when i was 3 years old, i said play the man for me mommy lol That was 51 years ago!!! The last note was 13 seconds he did a 18 second note in the movie. th-cam.com/video/Q_hLh4qCqpg/w-d-xo.html "Yes Giorgio"
Lovely reaction, Pavarotti brilliant but try the same from a 1960s great Tenor called Franco Corelli, he will give you goosebumps and he didn't need a microphone 😳😁 you would not believe his powerful vocals and his good looks. Anyway you are lovely, and thanks for your reaction.
A few decades ago the New York Times wrote that "When Pavarotti was born, God kissed his vocal cords"

Mario del Monaco and guseppi de Stefano also wonderful tenors. But l agree Mr Pavarotti was in my opinion the greatest l have heard.
Esatto, giusta precisazione
The greatest that ever lived - big word.
What's about Caruso, Gigli, Lauri Volpi, Corelli, Björling, Wunderlich etc.?
I have to rub down the goosebumps everytime I listen to Pavarotti.
Thanks 😊
You can tell by his eyes hes in the zone . . . I doubt if he even sees the audiance . . . He becomes the song . . He gives his all . . . .

He was the tenor of the century. I saw him live in concert in Antwerp Belgium. It was amazing.
Luciano Pavarotti's singing is the very definition of mind blowing.
Anyone who hears him for the first time will have their mind blown, in a good way.
Thanks 😊

You should listen to this when he was younger his voice was insane. Never herd anything like it.

The conductor is not leading Pavarotti he is making sure the orchestra follows Pavarotti
Which a lot of singer. There regional accent is a hinder. But he’s one of the exceptions we’re it actual helps.
there is a good documentary on him
