Play some Project Zomboid, it's survival is way more harder, as it gives you an actual goal to survive, rather than killing zombies all the time, so yep Survival isn't just combat atp. Plus none of the games actually simulate the first chaotic days of the zombie apocalypse, as far as I know (though, PZ has some survivor NPC mods, but still)
It all mostly depends on your location in the outbreak's beginning. If the zombie outbreak really is chaotic, and people start suddenly "invading" stores to stock up their supplies, that'd likely cause most of them to become infected, and soon fill the streets as zombies then. Now imagine being in some city with moderate-high population density, and the survival chance drops even lower, you'd not even have to plan stuff like "how should I manage the supplies" and etc., lol, as just in the first chaotic moments, you'd be endangered no matter where you go And now imagine being not just in a densely-populated city, but, let's say, somewhere in southern or eastern Asian country: they usually have a big amount of people even in the so-called "small" towns, or even villages (such situation is likely possible in China, India and surrounding countries there, for example,including Japan: they're highly-urbanised in most of their territories, wich means that there would be an even bigger amount of people in the first days of the apocalypse, trying to prepare themselves for survival, or flee from their cities = 80% of syour survival's failure, as there should be the highest zombie amount than anywhere else I guess) So, all the steps given highly depend on your actual location in the epidemic's beginning Better just move to Greenland before all that💀
If there is a zombie outbreak all humans have to do us to raise and train Crows and Vultures since they eat rotting dead, Im surprised nobody thought of that in movies
I think the best place you could go is find an old medieval castle, they're all over the place and a lot of them have been kept in good condition. If they have a moat it's even better as you could fill the moat with the dead to keep people out. If there's a courtyard you could use it for crops and livestock and potentially never have to leave safety. Towers give you long line of sight as well. Not to mention probably tons of decorative medieval weapons that would be invaluable as people on the outside will quickly run out of ammo.
Romero zombies - we would survive, Resident Evil zombies - we would take a hit but survive, World War Z - we would get messed up more than the movie small chance of survival, Walking Dead - yeah, there's no hope 😭. World War Z was based on a book that is more detailed look on the zombie outbreak and from different perspectives. And the entire premise of that book is that humanity did survive, albeit with some massive sacrifices.
Here in Norway it is possible to escape into the woods and mountains as there are plenty of cabins there. Also, there are only 5 million people in this country, and most of them live in the few big citys we got. No need to worry about food either, as the city people would most likely die, the few that are left can fish'n hunt.

If you need help, struggling with food, dont have anywhere to stay then try to join and find a group of survivors, also keep in mind everybody isnt going to accept you and generally when they dont they will tend to kill you which is why if you are in that situation when yk they are arent friendly you need to find an excuse to leave and if they dont let you RUN! 7. Make smart decisions. If you are solo or in a group you'll want to make the best choices bc things can go left fast, someone can get bit, eaten alive, killed by other survivors, and die from illness where the virus can get you infected and youll turn 8. Just survive. Just dont get bit, or killed by someone
Nice tips but to kill z's it make more sense to shoot it the spine or leg or smt to make it immoble and make it so it's too slow to chase you, you just need to survive not kill them. Shooting them in the head wouldn't kill them since their brain would already be dead
