Clearly you didnt watch the liverpool match because there was nothing easy about it, watford were really impressive and very intelligent and organized. The difference is that liverpool were able to use their hunger to find another gear and get the go-ahead goal after struggling for 65 minutes whereas united just seem to care less and less as time goes on.

Matt Majcan Liverpool did not struggle it was just hard to find a pass through their bus. But in 65+ minutes they made a bit of a mistake and Liverpool scored on it. And then they went more attacking and Liverpool scored more.

If truth be told, Utd isn't right for Mourino as much as he isn't right for this great club.
The table doesn't lie and post Fergie era will take a lot of time to even begin to play the UTD way.
Mourino has never been a Manager who man manages his players well and since his number 2 departed Mourino is shadow of himself and this interview is testament of that. He looks tired and withdrawn and it fire in the belly is distinguished.
Top 4 is looking unlikely and all Utd can play for is pride and accumulate as many points till the end of the season and re-evaluate and plan for season 2019-2020
Utd need to strip back the spine of this team and get shot of a lot of egos who are NOT doing anything for there pay packets. Start from basics and rebuild.

Man Utd play 10 times better without Lukaku. Sanchez should start every game with Martial pressing and harrying, and leave that lazy, ungainly, uncoordinated, and hapless human being in the treatment room. If Lukaku is not injured just PRETEND he is. Its like playing with 9 outfield players when he plays. He is a complete passenger. His reactions are slow, his first touch is woeful (he needs 4 touches to get the ball under control), his anticipation is poor, he cannot hold up the ball (make it stick to him),he does not move enough to find and make space for others, he cannot win headers for the size of him, AND he lacks any sort of desire, and is half hearted in his aerial challenges. To cap it all, the Utd players have stopped trying to find him with passes, they turn back, and turn sideways, and eventually launch a long hopeful ball, in the hope of getting a 2nd ball. Lukaku is THIS BAD in EVERY game this season. He hasnt scored now for 10 games. Martial was scoring at centre forward every game, then Jose pushes him out wide to accomodate this poor excuse for a Man Utd striker. If Mourinho gave Rashford or Sanchez a 10 game run we would get goals eventually as they have the DESIRE to put in EFFORT. The best winning run we went on this season, Lukaku was OUT of the team. Thats not a coincidence.

I agree Lukaku is incredibly poor and has to be dropped, but you don't have to blatantly lie to make a point. Martial has only played one game at center forward, that was in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham. After that game we moved him back to the left and that's when he started scoring again.

Jose's philosophy is based on "space of the pitch" when his team defend, he hopes to press out every space of the opponent, so his team always sit back quickly in defence. when his team attack, he hopes to get as much space as possible, that can explain why there are too many long balls finding the big centre striker to exploit the space as quick as possible. Pep's philosophy is based on "the best defence is the best attack". These two different philosophies are got by thinking about football from different perspectives and will get different advantages in the different situation. For Jose's team, they always have problems in dealing with some smaller clubs, because they choose quickly exploiting space over accuracy, but when you face some small clubs that are determined to get one point, you need patience and accuracy to score!

I am a city fan, I watched the highlights of Manu and Crystal palace. I think todays draw was bcoz of players not scoring the goal even they had good chances, sometime Josh was bad in team selection, but today i felt it was players who killed the game. Shooting needs to improve literally.

Sorry but , the tempo against a closed 442 needs to be high , one or two touch , one or two sideways passes followed by a pass to penetrate the lines. Players need to be within 10 yard of each other using triangles , constant movement.
Not Static side to side , no fluidity and no movement . Today we reverted back to the slow system with Lukaku upfront , when Sanchez upfront seemed to be helping us get some rhythm in our play.
