Thanks for the test! I'll be sure to only take my S-cross on short and mild off road tours. But I'm pretty confident I'll get through those and back onto the pavement without help.

Very good video, i have little question, can you measure ground clearance of Vitara Allgrip ?, I wanted to know if it's 175mm with a load or without because it makes a big difference 👍👍
Yaep, sometimes I do that at the beginning, maybe each video should include it. In this case - both are are FWD biased with multiple clutch pack powering rear axle, all diffs open.
While each vehicle may have strong and weak points, there are three that I'd point out in a Forester 1) great visibility from the interior, 2) extra comfortable suspension as it's a car thought for light offroad as well, and 3) the awd system (available from the base trim as well). These three features make the Forester different.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers yes, but I believe they changed the settings of the all-wheel drive system, and then I wonder how the 1.5 will pull 103hp with its weight
@@denis7tyler I don't think that they changed the settings, rather only adopted for bigger vehicle. However Grand Vitara isn't that big, it's like S-Cross, which in the past had 1.6 120 hp engine, it wasn't much more powerful than 103 hp.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers I think they spoiled something by comparing the videos of the Vitara LY and the latest generation S-Cross, the Vitara shows itself better, although the 1.4T engine is the same, the grand vitara has become larger, the wheels have grown, but the 1.5 103 hp engine is weaker, so it’s interesting that it will show on weaker traction, by the way, my wife has a Vitara LY 1.6 AT allgrip and is well familiar with its amazing cross-country ability, my wife doesn’t need a powerful engine, so she would be quite happy with 1.5 103 hp, but is the new Grand Vitara really that good?))
Everyone is afraid to compare the Cherokee trailhawk to anything it's really funny. I almost never see any comparisons. All that said they quit making them. Subaru is disappointing in this video.
Absolutely You re right about Forester. Forester that has single X MODE, is successful than dual modes XMODE model. So, MY 2013-2018 Forester has more traction the new ones
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers yes but on the real world, snow/mud mode is generally just for driving with precaution on slippery roads, not more. Forester SJ with single mod gives more significant change like deep mud/snow mode on dual modes🤗

My pleasure 🙂 All Grip Select is really effective system, you may only miss the ground clearance.
So happy with my Suzuki Vitara. That has the same system as this car.
This channel is perfect
Thank you!

Great video. If you ever visit Greece i would love to put my 1.6 XV with manual transmission and dual range to the test. Happy new year !
Thank you, happy new year! I hope we'll test the manual XV soon!

suzuki did very well with that system considering subarus is probably the best on the planet
У Suzuki отличный полный привод. Один из лучших!
Subaru его поджимает!

Excellent comparison👍I wonder if the Allgrip works on the Haldex principle, or if it is some kind of Suzuki's own design. Thank you.

Интересно посмотреть на индийскую новую grand vitara с 1.5 103 л.с. что покажет она, особенно с тестом на одно заднее ведущее))
It should be similar to S-Cross and Vitara as it has All Grip Select system.
