I hope that the next festival will be nice to see the young generation of Samoa represent the beauty of their culture

As a Pacific Islander to you my beloved fellow Pacific Islander…. We need to do a good job parenting…… ask the parents there in Hawaii… they can’t manage to look after their young ones

I believe the newer generation needs to be taught the traditional dances, they also should display traditional dances from our villages because as we know some villages in Samoa have their own traditional dances and styles. Like the village of solosolo, their distinct style of traditional has been performed for generations, the first recording of it being in the 1940s.

Twice @ Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, I shared a room with the same Samoan chief.

I feel like Samoa needs to invest in the next generation of siva samoa groups...

the whole point of their delegation is to practice these type of sivas so the history and culture of the REAL siva samoa can still be shown.

And to bring the young faces to perform the marvellous beauty of Samoa still sustainable from times to time. We don't wanna see mama and Bapa on stage, but we need to see the original performance to prove the most true Samoan cultural entertainment... Ae le Ole o e fai kaualuga e iloa ai le vaavaa SAo ai le kala se pei o le Ao ga mea ....... fai aku ai foi ...it's my own say about it . Ae fai sau oe kala iai....soifua maguia le faafiafiaga..

@@Chris-zo1vm Yeah, I know what the purpose is. I’m not talking about the items i’m talking about the dancers. They need to teach the new generation these traditions, whats the point if they aren’t teaching the next generation these traditions

@@Chris-zo1vm and if we’re gonna talk about REAL siva Samoa then why not perform the traditional Ailao instead of the contemporary version called the “Siva afi”?, why not get into the traditional positions for the Maulu’ulu when it’s being performed.

@@isaialeuila9327 this is true and i love this comment! but there are differences. the Ailao is a war dance and in these siva samoas are story tellers yk what i mean? Its a art and culture festival so why not show the art while doing a cultural dance you get it? js like the newest dance they had, every dance they did told a story.

Western Samoa, please, invest in the younger generation, and teach them our traditional dances. Many of the other islands have used their Tupulaga talavou to show case the traditions.
