- This is an "amateur" video shot at the Windward Mall in Kaneohe of the French Polynesia group, which performed as part of the 13th edition of the Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture. The audio is not great, because the mall has poor acoustics.
Magnifique spectacle 🤩🤩 , Merci grand merci aux groupes de Tahiti ❤❤❤ de nous représenter notre fierté polynésienne 🌺🌺🌺🌺
Glad they sent better dancers this year, as that’s normally not the case for FestPac or in general when attending events outside of Tahiti. Various famous dancers from various famous groups: Rei Tahiti, Hei Tahiti, O’TAHITI’E, Tahiti Ora, Tamariki Poerani and Hitireva. The group they went with is Temaeva. Kauehi Brunel, and even former Best Dancers at the Heiva I Tahiti😍😍😍 Mahalo I Nui Loa for recording this performance. Pay the haters no mind!
I would like to thank you for coming to see our show and filming it. Those are great memories for us even if I can’t really be seen since I’m a musician and you focused mainly on my brothers and sisters who are dancing 😂🤣 anyway thank you for the video 🫡😁
Amazing job! Did no one make a professional recording?
well the music is the soul of the dance. thank you for playing. does your group have music or videos for us elsewhere?
You all did such a beautiful job. I've seen some of your videos before. I always notice there is a young girl dancing in the front line who really stands out, you can see on her face how much she loves what she's doing and how proud she is of her culture. Such a pleasure to watch. Does your troupe have a name, and can we find your music anywhere?
@@PerrincinaSprecaci Thank you for the comment, we really appreciate it. The troupe selected for Hawaii this year was Temaeva and most of our dancers are from this troupe. As for us musician, I would say that half of us are from the troupe Toakura. The rest come from different troupes but they all work at the conservatoire, which is an institution that teaches music and tahitian dance. =)
How could there be any dance without your great music???🥰❤
Absolutely beautiful. The performers (for lack of a better understanding) are stunning! The story telling through movement/dance was extraordinary, authentic, and felt like a gift bestowed upon the viewer
❤ So love Tahiti...Stayed at the Manava Resort in Punaauia for 10 days in 2019, eatout at lovely ROULOTTES and travelled all around Tahiti (Tararao, Papenoo, Arue, Faa'a...etc)....and Tahiti iti (Tautira, Vairao..Teahupoo..etc) Myself and Fiancee loved the friendly people and Poison crue with Hinano beer 👍, great paradise on Earth. IA ORANA BEAUTIFUL TAHITI ❤
Merci a tous pour ce joli spectacle ❤️🌺Bravo Tahiti

I would love to hear this done again somewhere where the acoustics were better. It is very entertaining and the vocals were great!
Great damcing I so miss seeing my son drumming lead and my daughter dancing Tahitians dance.
Magnificent & amazing dance. Beyond imagination . I am from Assam , India.

I like the dancers colors😊
They deserved a way bigger/better stage
They dance at various stages and venues throughout Hawai’i Nei not just at Ala Moana Mall/Center🤣🤣🤣
Can anyone tell me the song name at 21:35 it sounds so beautiful !
Very beautiful dance Culture
So so true. Move your camera around as a pro.. we are only seeing the dancers/pergormers and not the greater audiences.
Don’t agree. Normally they film all
over the place. This is fine. At least you get the full overview and not just zoomed in butt shots!
Great 🎉!!!
Nice entrance
love
Amazing!!
Good stage presents
Elders make it look smoother and less shocking to new viewers,no one needs to see upper thighs right???
Good timing 😊😊😊😊😊 & good vocal sound from the men😊😊😊😊😊
I can’t hear the drums at all
They have all the right drums ,I just can’t hear them, where’s the mics on the big drumb???
Hum c'est moi ou je viens de voir Teaniva Dinard notre Mister Tahiti de l'année dernière
Il était bien parmi nous lol
❤the pacific🙏
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mall back ground noise is over lapping
The only difference is I had a lot of speakers so I could focus only on the music and people could only focus on sound and vibration, and it will be in their own zone where they escape, reality.
Chay Tahìti French Polynesia very great in the Vakamalolo meke indeed respect hahahahahahaha
❤fire!
Give me the camera next time, yeah?
Stop complaining. You don’t like it, watch something else!
Now i know where Helen's dance came from.

My people😤
Mike up the drums
❤🎉
Although the ladies look mixed physical features, all the gentlemen has a unique physical features perhaps they are not interracial/mixed.
I would say that most of our population in Tahiti is mixed. Like a good 80% of us are of mixed origins.
They are .. not intentionally, but some by uninvited visitors.. you know how some earthlings are ..

Poor camera man
French Polynesia???
Wasnt there an agreement between nations back in the 1970's where they all decided to give back their colonies?
Ohhh of course, that was just for the little nations to comply with, the big ones make the agreement but do as they please, I forgot.
2024 and nothings changed in the world it seems.
Clean up the background sound
if you decided to video at least try to move your camera around, its annoying to be watching at the same spot, not really enjoy this video.
Don’t agree. Normally they film all
over the place. This is fine. At least you get the full overview and not just zoomed in butt shots!
@@kilipaki87oritahiti 😁🙏🤲👌
Totally agree, sheesh camera guy...
Close your mouth! You Ungrateful.
Camera should have filmed from further back or not zoomed in so much
To much European DNA / in them this is why the rhythm is a little off/ but the ladies are beautiful 🎉
From Aotearoa - Where is Calmelito Taura and Johan Hironui Bouit ????.
Maori haka
Terrible camera work!!!!!’
These are the cultures that dont wear SHIRTS!
Real men don't need shirts. Nature didn't make us with shirts on.
What a weird comment. They were western clothing normally. But it’s not the traditional get up when dancing.
@@originalclaymoreboy728Right, pagan.
From Aotearoa - Your camera work is very amatuerish. If you can't be a little more proffessional don't video at all.
