Why canʻt they wait until the Hawaiian chanter ends before beginning their own chant in Samoan? I thought this was very disrespectful to our host culture. They werenʻt the only ones who did this.
I think you're unloading your situation on the wrong platform/video. The choices of their father has nothing to do with the people as a whole let alone this video.
Its most likely a misunderstanding. Usually when we do our Samoan lokus, before the prayers finishes, we usually start singing before the amen. I think that's how they entered.
