Tonga's form of government has always consisted of a Sovereign from the original Tu'i Tonga Dynasty or it's cadet branches; as well as a host of retainers(High Chiefs) known as the Hou'eiki. These titles are all hereditary and every Tongan belongs to a clan under these respective Hou'eiki lines. That's basically been our way of life since time immemorial and still is.
