Double oven mitts with thumbs are so much easier to use than the flat style double oven mitt. Make these for your kitchen, make for gifts or as products to sell. Hope you like it. It’s quite fun to make.😊
Hi, I love this tutorial I love all your tutorials you are quick and to the point. You really don't need music sometimes it goes up and down and is distracting. Your voice is so pleasing you do not need music behind it. Thank you
I really like your's for the thumbs; and, I also like that it is reversible. This oven mitt would make wonderful Christmas gifts to many in my family and some of my friends. Your's turned out beautiful. Thank you for this video.
What a wonderful project. I love all of your great videos. I never thought about making my own pot holders. I’m going to look for that heat safe batting. Thank you!
Sorry new to sewing. Thank you for the video I just bought the pdf for these double oven mitts. My question is in 9:20 segment you said you could quilt the material together are you saying to sandwich all 4 pieces and quilt or just to quilt 2 together. That part has me confused. I would like to top quilt the pieces together if this makes any sense. 😊
Thank you. You can quilt the 2 pieces together. You would have 2 of fabric with the insul- bright quilted together. You’ll need to cut a bit bigger and then trim down to the correct pattern size after quilting . Quilting will “shrink” the pieces when sewn together.
They fit my husband but he does not have larger hands. I had designed this pattern to fit my hands comfortably as I do not like them swimming in large mitts. You can always modify the pattern by adding ¼” all around and making the centre a bit longer too.

I'm getting an error message on the pattern link😔. It says "link not found".
It’s working fine for me. Maybe try from another browser

Hi, would these be a good size for a man’s larger hands? I’m thinking of buying this pattern to make a Father’s Day gift x

I've tried looking everywhere so I apologize if you've already mentioned, but what type of thread are you using? I want to make sure it's safe
Just used regular polyester sewing thread. You can use cotton if you like. They do not go into microwave . Thanks for watching.
Would these be machine washable?
I preshrunk my fabric. I wash on gentle and do not put in dryer. Cheers!
Is the pattern in pdf?
Hi Rowena, yes it is😊. Thanks for watching.
