Anytime I'm wanting to find something new to explore in sewing, I hope that your channel has a tutorial for it ❤ such a calm and clear voice and neat instructions. Thank you for this
I am amazed at your tutorials, you make better a tutorial that was done before. I’d never thought to do the two stitches then pivot at the corners, how genius is that.
❤❤ Another great tip and a great way to use up 100% cotton scraps. I also think it gives them an interesting look. Your channel is one of my FAVORITES! Not only do you have great ideas, but you also produce quality videos: practical ideas for selling/gifting items❤, easy directions❤, great closeups❤, section time stamps❤, well edited for efficient use of time❤, and a most pleasing voice❤❤.
Excellent!!! I’ve made dozens and dozens of bowl cozies over the past five years, but I only just found your tutorial. I like your version MUCH better than the ones I’ve used! I also love your teaching. You are so calm and relaxing to watch. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for all you give. You are a true sewing genius. Great creations ! ! ! It so very relaxing to watch and listen to you work. It's hard. TY & God bless.
Hi! What a great idea of how to make a multi use template. I have been using cardboard but they wear out quick! Great video…easy to follow with great tips!
I have completed both sizes of your pattern and the bowl cozys turned out fantastic! This is a very straight forward, well done video! Thank you for sharing☺️👍
This just popped up on my tv! Your video’s are so easy to listen to and follow. I have made bowl cozy’s before. But really wasn’t a fan of the pattern. A friend sent it to me. She had found it on a website. This is exactly what I am going to make. Thank you 😊
What an amazing tutorial. You are so easy to listen to and your instructions are so detailed and precise. I love the co-ordinating material that you have used and the tea towel to go along with it. Thank you for a wonderful tutorial and share. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a great way to use my scraps of fabric and batting, and this looks to be easier than the traditiinal darted ones I make. What a straight forward tutorial, perfect for both beginners and experienced sewers, thank you! I have to clean my machine often when sewing these and rag quilts, the lint builds up fast in machines.
Thanks for showing us these patch work cozy’s. I am going to have to make some of these. I collect rosters and chickens, and I have some roster fabric I haven’t used. This will be perfect. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us. ❤️
I am not able to find an order with your name. You can also make a Paypal donation for same amount - link in description and I can forward pattern to you. Cheers
Thank you! 😊 Please be aware I do not sell plastic templates. Unfortunately my pattern and tutorial is being used on other sites without my authorisation…..
I bought the pattern and love it! I have a question about when finished, do you need to sew an X across the cozy to keep the batting inside from moving or does the smaller pieces keep that from happening when being washed? Thank you!

At first, just curious about what this is, but at the end.... Yep, I need to make both sizes. Right now, I am using a small silicon-mat, and still gets burned on the too hot bowls... Yesterday, I made a tea-cozy, after way too many times drinking lukewarm tea. I made my own pattern, and it is reversal, can use both inside and outside, and the size, works for several tea-pot sizes.
Thanks for your purchase Donna. Sorry I don’t sell the weights. Please have a look at my video for what it is. th-cam.com/video/oe3kHiIZVHE/w-d-xo.html

Love that rooster fabric, do you recall the name of it? Just subscribed to your channel. I've made some of your towels and your trash can for the car. Great patterns and I love your videos.
The result is very nice and your instructions are fairly clear. I do, however, think the method is more work than necessary...far too much cutting and trimming for such a simple project.
Thank you. You’ll find it’s still a very easy project. The idea is to use up smaller fabric and batting scraps and to have a combination of patterns instead of just one fabric which can be a bland. As mentioned in the tutorial, a few steps are optional. What I do teach is grading the seams and also how to sew a nicer corner. These methods can be applied to other sewing projects. Thanks for watching
You are the first person I’ve seen who sews the opening the way I do. It makes turning under the opening edges so much easier, doesn’t it!

Thank you. Glad you like it🙂
I bought the pattern and love it! I have a question about when finished, do you need to sew an X across the cozy to keep the batting inside from moving or does the smaller pieces keep that from happening when being washed? Thank you!
Thank you! The batting is sewn into seams so won’t move from that but you can take right in the very centre if you want the layers to stay together.
Thank you! So much fun to make compared to the usual way.
So glad to hear this😊. Will have another bowl cozy soon. Cheers!

what are the metal items that hold down the fabric for cutting?

Quick question. I was told to use muslin for the batting. Is this a bad idea?
Muslin is not very thick so may not be enough to protect your hands. You could do a couple of layers?
By any chance you have a downloadable pattern. The one i purchased is taking forever to get here to the states.
