Loved the Chula Vista Goodwill. Great finds with the Tenala pieces !!! Such a pretty suitcase as well ! I lived in San Diego for a year while my ex husband was stationed on a ship. My daughter was born at the Navy Hospital by the Zoo. That was in 1981 so it's been awhile lol love military towns !

I know this trip took place a year before I watched it but I actually yelled out to you when you were looking at the white jar and lid that had the blue bird design on it. Luckily I was the only one home at the time. I'm kind of housebound in Northern California so I can't fly to San Diego (where I lived for many years) to rescue that little jar. I laughed at myself and that reaction. I acted as though you had just passed by an original painting by Michaelangelo. I get wayyyy too personally involved when you're shopping. Thank you for entertaining those of us who can't go thrift shopping. 🙂

My husband took me to one when we were 1st dating & we lived in California. I loved it! Good thing you went back a 2nd time to the other thrift store. 20% off on the 350 item...score! I was so bummed that you couldn't pick those up before. They are gorgeous!
That Swiss Ball is excellent to use as a chair. Great for your Spine, your Abs, Balance...It's just a Win Win! Great Choice Jordan! If it's too low for your desk, you can put an 85 centimeter ball in that too, just to raise you up higher if needed!

Hola Danni, Jordan & bf ~ Danni next time you are out of town & have to fly back.... while at the Goodwill/Thrift store pick up some of the adult disposable briefs not the the pads but briefs they're thicker and use them to wrap your glass & breakables i use them and none of my item gets broken when moving. That colbalt cut to clear is fantastic. love watching you shop~ God Bless~
I bought a beautiful suitcase at a GW in FL. Brand new, carry on, Kohls, originally $200. Paod $25 for it but felt it was worth it. I've already used it on a trip my hubby and I went on. Love thrifting, my girls and I went this past Sat and got a few nice things. We were celebrating my eldest daughter's birthday.

When I find "Buy me, Buy me" items... I include a special gift with high dollar items I sell... Just as a "Thank You".... When I find stationary cards I love, I use them as "Thank You" notes in my sales... I always include a personal card... bc sometimes the items I see have a story.
22:34 that's foryour tea pot. You put a small tea candle in it, the ones in the aluminum cut, and sit the tea pot or coffee pot on top to keep it warm. I use mine in the winter all the time.

That Chula Vista Goodwill was beautiful. We have such a horrible one in Santee! It's so tiny, dirty, very very cluttered, stuff piled on top of stuff on top of more stuff. Very few things are well displayed. Parking and the in and out are horrendous. It surely doesn't make you want to be a frequent shopper! Enjoy that Chula Vista location! Sorry, that was so negative! Hoping someone at Goodwill will see your program and read this complaint so we can make a change!

Ooohhhh please grab those Libby country garden amber glasses!!! I am watching a few pairs on eBay and I would rather buy from you!!! The lavender mug you grabbed was Roscher Stoneware (fantastic mug) and they are very collectible depending on the color, I have several. The pink and lavender are the most popular and they have been known to sell for 20 - 30 a piece in good shape and again if it's one of their rare colors. I love Arnel's, anything mushroom people go crazy for, including myself.
Goodwill has a couple of stores in San Diego that are small, boutique like stores and are typically a bit more expensive. The items they place in the decorated sections tend to a bit pricier. I haven't been to that Goodwill although one of my nieces worked there for a while. That one and the one in Alpine are on my list of goodwill's to check out but I'm waiting for our weather to chill down a bit.
Great finds!! I love the way the SD Goodwill stores display the merchandise. I have not been to the Chula Vista store so I'll put it at the top of my list for my next visit.
Glad you can look items up at your Goodwill. Ours use cell phone jammer to restrict internet use while in their stores. I hear it is illegal, but no other explanation as it happens at every Goodwill I go to in my area.

About cracked and broken dishes/mirrors, here in Philadelphia artist Isaiah Zagar created several murals using broken pieces.
I've seen people use broken pieces to create barrettes, brooches, and mosaic tabletops as well
That's when you get friendly with a store manager and have them save you the broken pieces.
I think the wood "Chopping thing" was actually a shoe that holds several decks of cards.
