I had one of these 17litre monsters in the original livery from MAN with 502 logos hauling tilts from Calais to Spain circa 1990. It was one of the most powerful trucks of its time. Hills at 40tons were no problem..
Just read through the resto on your website. Awesome stuff, cheers for posting. Were the v10/500 all sold on the continent then, or did any get over here? I can only find 150-360 bhp versions. I remember driving around middlesborough port about 8 years ago and seeing loads of MAN trucks (similar looking to these) getting used.
Good stuff! Yeah the F90 502's where on the continent, in the UK they where marked up as F90 462's Great trucks the F90's & F2000's! Miles better than the newer TGA & TGX !
