Great display! Really enjoyed it and a lot of skill being shown here. My only constructive criticism would be to use the show center camera more than the 3d world cams. That breaks the airshow immersion for me. God I love DCS!
Thanks Jeff. FYI, it was one of your vids that got me(Cap) into DCS in the first place. It was one where you tagged along with an American DCS display team in L-39's I think it was. My memory isn't so good now days. It must have been over a year ago. When are you going to start flying with us? :)
Splendid camera work. One could never ever experience an air show in any better way.And those war birds - plain amazing. It looks like they were glued to the same piece of glass moving in space - fantastic. And their quiet, confident communication. All together a great show! Congratulations.
Fantastic show. The skill level is absolutely amazing. Thanks to all of you for the hard work you guys put into this. Really looking forward to your next show!
Having been to a lot of airshows in real life, really enjoyed this, the great thing about sims is the camera angles you can do in a sim - it puts in a new perspective. Clearly a lot of training was put into the show from each pilot. Loved it!
Nicely done gentlemen, this video brings back old memories from the 60s when my dad took me to the airshows at LUKE AFB where he worked to watch the Thunderbirds. Awesome job! :)
Having finished watching the whole video now I must congratulate and thank everyone involved. Great show and display of skills and motivation. The warbird demonstration was a really impressive way to kick off the video - jaw dropping amount of skill.
*** Good show Grim Reapers. I enjoyed watching it on my big screen TV. The F-15 was Outstanding . Looking forward to your next show. Keep up the good work. :)
Just finding this video!!! 🤓 Soooo awesome!!!! I love airshows and its great to have all the airshow visuals and the cockpit chatter!!! I'm utterly amazed at the DCS platform! Who knew it could do airshows too!
Great job Kestrel, best four point turn and good job on that landing. Good air show when even the tower says "oh shit" at one point lol And nice save on the slow pass Cap :P
Well done to all of those pilots and the skill and accuracy that they have and full props to the f15 pilot and all the others for putting on an amazing event
My 2nd comment. This was outstanding! The formation flying was unbelievable as well as the single plane performances. Well done all of you. Thank you!!
That was truly a pleasure to watch. Thanks to all involved for putting this together and sharing. But alas my vote goes to the Virtual Horsemen. What a display !!!
I know this is a couple of years old now, but Ive seen quite a few GR vids over the last year or so, but its the 1st time ive seen this. Dont know why, but It reminds me of the Mildenhall Air shows i used to go to back in the early 80s. (Only without that BBQ smell that hit you before you drove through the side gate and into the parking area.. lol) .. Anyway, not sure ill ever be quite at this standard of flying, but its most definitely something to aim for. very nice indeed.
Well done cap and boys , great show .loved the migs and the awesome f15, gracefully flown l39and mirage. Warbirds were smooth and the 3 ship look glued together . All very impressive . You still have heli’s and some others to fly . Also why not a weapons show ? Those are the sort we only see clips of in the news - would be good to watch some field targets “getting some !” In this setting. Saw some simulated strikes at shows last year so fits with the theme.
Very Very impressed...wingman spitfire had hardest job there, the F5 at times looked like real footage and sounds too....all in all ...everyone good show. Tinders 4 pointer far the best, albeit a slower bird...gj that man. Horsemen really profesional, looked like wired together...you got to trust no1 with your lfe as you costantly watching him, hoping he doesnt run you into the ground...Cap,im impressed,Love that S Skin...they did great job on the gloss look...so realistic....good display, over crowd in RL would get you grounded ASAP lol...very good man...top airshow.
Really can't wait until we see the F-18 and F-14 appear in future Reaper DCS airshows, not to mention you'll need a Yak-52 aerobatic team! Just be sure to play the Top Gun anthem over the loudspeakers for that F-14 demo... :) On a serious note, At the Sun n' Fun airshow in Florida this year we saw an F-18 demo that included a carrier break to Top Gun music that was pretty amazing, and Patty Wagstaff's mastery of the Extra 330LX was insane!
I didn’t think I would enjoy this but I was captivated (see what I did there Cap?). It was superb with some simply awesome skills on display. Please do some more and perhaps a formation Gazelle display too, like the AAC used to do? That would be great! And best of all there was no need to queue for hours to get in! Well done Reapers, loved it.
If you do another airshow performance like this, I think one improvement that could be made is turning Cap's section into a true comedy act. So much buildup for what turned out to be a straightforward demonstration... It's not anything really different you needed to do in the flying department, but as you alluded to before takeoff, comedic banter about forgetting what your next maneuver was supposed to be, or "Can't believe I remembered how to do that," or, potentially add in a "tipsy" routine (Like you had one too many beers waiting for your turn to roll around, and needed your squadmates to talk you through the routine) would have spiced the finale up by quite a ways... Actually speaking of finales, a group formation pass with the entire team dumping all flares would be another cool way to end it. But that's just me. I still enjoyed the whole presentation.
pretty darn awesome !!! loved seeing the pilot skills and what the planes can do so well shown :).....was waiting to see you guys massively bomb the crowds ..;) like your fun endings of mission videos ;) ...oh well..hehe...slick works!..:)
very very well done especially withe the 3 p 51`s I´m an ga pilot an it took me a while even to take the p 51 up in the air with no stunts on takeoff not to metion the landings i gave myselfe the callsin gearstroke guess why......compliment for the 3 pilots and well done grim reapers
THAT WAS GREAT!! The only suggestion i would have is for the next one Cap should do the play by play like he did for the first F-15 display performance where he told the audience each and every maneuver the pilot was performing and explaining the particular difficulty of some of them. I think if Cap were to do this for each and every pilots performance it really would make the airshow perfect although this was close already. Thanks again. I also wanted to say i really have liked the format lately where you do a mission and the very next video is the Tactical analysis of the prior mission. keep up the great content thanks guys.
Excellent: the preparation/rehearsals are obvious. And yes, hopefully the first of many. As others have observed - you would never see these angles and close ups in a real airshow (I prefer this to the real thing - even if I lived in a country that did air shows, I don't have the super-duper binoculars). No air crash at the end ;-)
The fact that you guys take the time to do this is a really nice touch to how serious you are about DCS.. For that I am impressed the coordination to get everyone on and practising and planning shows professionalism. My only concern is for the runway line more!!! And safety for the crowd spectators lol 😊 I'm thinking of joining you guys... how do I contact you? 😎
Just loved the air show!.......I think it was better than real air shows, because of the camera positioning! ........ would love to see the harrier do it's thing when someone gets good at stall maneuvers. (forward, backward, sideways, turns, etc.)
What a show. I was thinking about asking to join the squad but after seeing that I think I need a few more hours in the pit. I am personally going to challenge myself try and duplicate the beautiful flying of the F15 by the 20 year old Aussie. Just amazing, well all were just amazing. My challenge will be do I get in the pit of the p51 or f15. Nice to have a tough choice.
One thing that I think could be done to improve the airshow is when you aren't taking through the moves add music, ask the pilots what music they would like to add on their presentation. Another which was mentioned by Jeff Favingnano is to keep it to the center airport camera (would be nice if it could auto-track to make it easy on you). Last thing would be to get multiple a/c in the air and send the ones not presenting into a circuit somewhere but it isn't that big of a deal with the magic of editing. I guess airshows will now be in VR. It would be really great if that's the future, all you need to pay for will be the training of the pilots and not for fuel and airport fees (might become a dcs usage fee though).
When game play starts to look this real.. really is impressive. I’m sure Ray and Mark Hannah would be equally amazed if they could have seen stuff like this.. Still my dream to do it for real with a 2 seater Boultbee Spit..
Was a fun show to watch, just one little detail you might want to address in a potential next show: no high risk manoeuvres over and/or towards the spectator area. (Stay on the other side of the runway, don't cross the centreline). Otherwise a perfect display! :)
Would love to see the A10 and some choppers especially the chinook doing its crazy routine - amazing video though, now makes me want to go back to fairford,,, also would love an edited up one with tinny echoey commentary and maybe some in-between footage of crowds and airshow stalls fairs etc , and maybe carry some ambient sounds from a real airshow through for atmosphere?
Great display! Really enjoyed it and a lot of skill being shown here. My only constructive criticism would be to use the show center camera more than the 3d world cams. That breaks the airshow immersion for me. God I love DCS!

Thanks Jeff. FYI, it was one of your vids that got me(Cap) into DCS in the first place. It was one where you tagged along with an American DCS display team in L-39's I think it was. My memory isn't so good now days. It must have been over a year ago. When are you going to start flying with us? :)
Jeff Favignano I subscribed to u.
Grim Reapers i wish he cld join the Reapers! A. Great addition he wld be to the squad!
@@grimreapers do you mean the Black Diamond jet team, the one you watched, And may i say what an amazing display when is your next one coming out :)
Great show guys, only thing im missing is the burnt kerosine smell and the t-shirt and hotdog selling stands ;-)
And the pretty ladies in their summer outfits ; )
This video gave me a 'hot dog'.
LOL rgr Para
Exactly haha
Splendid camera work. One could never ever experience an air show in any better way.And those war birds - plain amazing. It looks like they were glued to the same piece of glass moving in space - fantastic. And their quiet, confident communication. All together a great show! Congratulations.
cmibm Thank you for the kind words! :)
Thx Cam
2 Completely different flight envelope warbirds flying in that close formation was astounding.
The Grim Reapers and Cap are the #1 ambassadors for DCS. It seems like all DCS trails lead back to your channel. Love it.
Fantastic show. The skill level is absolutely amazing. Thanks to all of you for the hard work you guys put into this. Really looking forward to your next show!
Thx
The formation flying between the Mustang and the Spitfire is BEAUTIFUL! Such skill, such precision. Good job boys!
Rory Shields Thank you! We had a blast :)
Having been to a lot of airshows in real life, really enjoyed this, the great thing about sims is the camera angles you can do in a sim - it puts in a new perspective. Clearly a lot of training was put into the show from each pilot. Loved it!
To the entire team:
Thank you so very much! This was really excellent! The work was worth it, and the show paid off handsomely.
Thanks Bud
Nicely done gentlemen, this video brings back old memories from the 60s when my dad took me to the airshows at LUKE AFB where he worked to watch the Thunderbirds. Awesome job! :)
Thanks Mike
Having finished watching the whole video now I must congratulate and thank everyone involved. Great show and display of skills and motivation. The warbird demonstration was a really impressive way to kick off the video - jaw dropping amount of skill.
Thank you! We really enjoy the challenge of flying 2 different warbirds together :)
Great job, all pilots! I woulda loved to have seen a harrier display. I was very impressed by the Virtual Horsemen! Great show!
Best DCS airshow of TH-cam so far ! Congrats guys :)
Thx
Great video. Those were some nice displays. Thank you guys for all the effort and time you dedicated to this show. I really enjoyed it.
Thx
Great video guys! I'm new to DCS with this as my introduction so a-downloading we will go. See you around! 😃👍🍻
*** Good show Grim Reapers. I enjoyed watching it on my big screen TV. The F-15 was Outstanding . Looking forward to your next show. Keep up the good work. :)
Cheers bud
This video was spectacular, thanks!!
Just like watching a real life air display!!! Great camera work Cap, that's what makes it feel real.
Thanks to all involved or their efforts 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
thx
Impressive... Most impressive.
DCS needs more planes!
F-18 and F-14 are coming out soon.
Not enough! IL-2 amount of planes would be awesome :)
William McDowell yes we need the f 16
F-22 please!
No Iron Maiden being blasted on the PA system on the tarmac? Oh, the humanity!
lol
I agree.
Totally unnecessary!
That first display was AMAZING. Kudos
Thx Mark
Just finding this video!!! 🤓 Soooo awesome!!!! I love airshows and its great to have all the airshow visuals and the cockpit chatter!!! I'm utterly amazed at the DCS platform! Who knew it could do airshows too!
Awesome display Cap! And yes, I would love to see more of these. AV-8 and AJS-37 next time.
Copy Sir
This is a great idea! Can't believe nobody has done this before. Certainly motivated me to get back into DCS
Great job Kestrel, best four point turn and good job on that landing.
Good air show when even the tower says "oh shit" at one point lol
And nice save on the slow pass Cap :P
Beatiful Airmanship. Pleasure to watch!
Just brilliant! Love the warbirds. Crisp flying!
Well done to all of those pilots and the skill and accuracy that they have and full props to the f15 pilot and all the others for putting on an amazing event
Airshow demonstration needs to be the new benchmark for active players to join a mission. great work!! the high alpha passes were amazing.
thx
My 2nd comment. This was outstanding! The formation flying was unbelievable as well as the single plane performances. Well done all of you. Thank you!!
Effin brilliant display from Horsemen....must have taken at least one or two hours training to do that. A joy to watch!
Thank you very much :) - Pman - Right Wing
Preben Valsted Thank you! We do have a few hours in the Mustang...
I heard they took 30mins total training time??
That was truly a pleasure to watch. Thanks to all involved for putting this together and sharing. But alas my vote goes to the Virtual Horsemen. What a display !!!
Pleasure :)
Outstanding stuff! That sonic boom timed to perfection half way down the runway... incredible!
I know this is a couple of years old now, but Ive seen quite a few GR vids over the last year or so, but its the 1st time ive seen this.

You definitely need commentary because that’s what you get at air show! Brilliant air show all the same

Yup weapons show next time
Excellent work! This was awesome to watch!
Thanks, it's awesome! With full screen and good audio almost like real!
Man, the first display, the flying was superb. Just need smoke.
1:20:36
Oh WOW!!! Man, amazing flying. Looking forward to the next one. Was this streamed live on Twitch?
Roger every flight streamed daily
Very Very impressed...wingman spitfire had hardest job there, the F5 at times looked like real footage and sounds too....all in all ...everyone good show. Thx
Beautiful job guys the skill and concentration it takes to do that is phenomenal. I hope you make more vids great job!
Thanks Rich
Very nice, loved the warbird pair at beginning!

Cap. I loved how you nearly parked the MiG in the departures lounge! lol, Great show btw!
Roger...don't worry boys I had it under control...
Bloody good show well put together, well done chaps....chocks away.
This was a sweet airshow! Next year, I think it would be cool if you all took of in v formation and mow down the crowd with assorted cannon. Thanks! 👍
very very well done especially withe the 3 p 51`s I´m an ga pilot an it took me a while even to take the p 51 up in the air with no stunts on takeoff not to metion the landings i gave myselfe the callsin gearstroke guess why......compliment for the 3 pilots and well done grim reapers

Roger agree, thanks
Awesome show from the austrian F15 guy......and of course awesome camera work !!!
WOW...amazing flying.Awesome video.
The High Alpha is always awesome to see. Great work!
Awesome work with a lot of skill by everyone! If only ps4 would hop on board with this!
This video deserves way more likes!
Damn fine show by all! Thanks :)

I cupped my ears the minute you starting chunering on to be fair lol.
Absolutely beautiful teamwork and acrobatics. 9.8 Now I know why we are making the F-15X!

Great Idea, great show, great skill of GR
@cap it's a little thing, but I love seeing my Callsign Witz plane show up on these flights. Thanks!
Roger agree. We do use her in the Harrier missions, Tender flies her.
Is that the red n white one? Love that skin ♥️

That first left roll over gae me some goose bumps!
Cool! DCS let's have one emitters without the necessity of shooting holes in the aircraft!
Great precision flying BTW.
This is awesome. Great vid, thanks :)
thx
Looks great guys! Keep up the good work!
Good work.
Well done!
LOVE this one CAP. Should do another when Hornet and Tomcat come out.
Good thing I know the Tomcat air show routine
Roger, give it a few months
Really cool show Cap
looking forward to RIAT 2018 even a little bit more now! Nice!
Same, also it is a GR meeting on the Sunday at RIAT
Cool! Not sure which day we are going yet but would be nice to say hello! Will you have a little circle of folding chairs and a flag? :-)
Truly awesome show guys!
The DCS Virtual Red Arrows would fit right into this programme!
Cap your definitely over the crowdline!
Yes oops. Yes would live to get the Red Arrows in next time!
“AND now for something completely different...” hahaha Monty Python anyone?
Would love to see the A10 and some choppers especially the chinook doing its crazy routine - amazing video though, now makes me want to go back to fairford,,, also would love an edited up one with tinny echoey commentary and maybe some in-between footage of crowds and airshow stalls fairs etc , and maybe carry some ambient sounds from a real airshow through for atmosphere?
Roger will add choppers and sfx next time
God how I love this stuff...
Just amazing.
Why bother going to an airshow,we have it right here on You-Tube.
The best thing about this is we can participate.
Good Lord,I love this simulator.
lol and cheaper!
Awesome guys. Well done
Thx
I was trying to pull hammerheads last night but couldnt make it happen. I think I picked up a little trick just now though.
Great Show. But I missed the SU 27/33. These are the maneuverable ones in the game.
The p51 formation flying was awesome
"I've only had one chance to practice and I crashed both times" :-p
Wut, no Vengaboys? Usually they play music at airshows.
ooo good idea
Really good!!
I would love to see you guys do a full air show with the F/A18s in the blue angels skin with the diamond formation and two solos.
Will do
