  • "I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, Unclog anything or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training". I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have Been Trained In culvert inspections for years with private co) osha trained,
    :Exploring Abandoned Anything can be dangerous or Deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks & responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. Their could be nails, Asbestos, Falling concrete soft floors, animals or other hazards. I took after your example today (in Sacramento with bad rain and wind) and went for a walk and unclogged 7 road drains and cleared a buttload of clogged road gutters for a couple hours. I can no longer feel my hands or feet since they are all pruned up and cold, but was fun times.

      Good work but you should definitely wear gloves, both for "sharps" in city litter and for the cold water in winter.

      You're referring to medical and non-medical needles; Also, you could be just be talking about sharp objects that aren't visible from the water not being clear...

    • @HyperWolf
      @HyperWolf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Doing the same in the East Bay. Definitely get some good gloves.

    • @jasonreed7522
      @jasonreed7522 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Tazerboy_10 i was using the term in the sense of how bathrooms and labs have special disposal containers for needles and broken glass labeled "Sharps". So yes medical and nonmedical needles, but also broken glass, sharp metal edges, even pointy/thorny sticks.
      Its just that near cities/towns the amount of such objects increases due to the increase in addicts (main source of the needles) and litterbugs throwing random bottles/cans in the ditch (beer and liquor). Which is mainly just due to population, but i can assure you that 10miles back on a logging trail hunters, fishermen, and lumberjacks all litter and toss empty beercans into the trees. (Honestly its sad just how little some people care)
      So wear gloves because you don't want a dirty needle in your hand or a cut from a rusty culvert itself.

    Hey guys, it's the holiday season and if you wish you could give Post 10 some extra cash to help out with his videos he has a Patreon linked in his description. The man has enough class to not constantly shove that in our faces or hold videos hostage until he reaches a certain funding goal so not everyone may know about it. This guy entertains us a ton and is making the world a better place, so the least we can do is help him out as well. I'm not affiliated with Post 10, just a huge fanboy.

    If I even tried to attempt a 3 foot pipe walk, I'd pull a Winnie the Pooh lol.

    Hey post 10, can i ask if the ripples in the pipes used for culverts is there for flow and helping it stay unclogged, or if it's just there for structural integrity. i'm really curious

      Structure. Corrugations make sheet metal much stronger to prevent bending against the line of the ripple. Still can be bent along the ripple, which can be used to put curves and corners into sheets of corrugated metal - like, to round a corner on a wall, or to curve over the eve of a building. So, you notice that the ripples are in the direction that would resist the weight of the soil.

    Hey champ, you should get yourself a jack to push these types of culvert openings back into shape.
