  • "I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, Unclog anything or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training". I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have Been Trained In culvert inspections for years with private co) osha trained,
:Exploring Abandoned Anything can be dangerous or Deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks & responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. Their could be nails, Asbestos, Falling concrete soft floors, animals or other hazards. My girlfriend looked at me really weird because the other day we were driving down the road and the water was starting to flood over the road and I said we need to get post 10 out here to clean that cover. She said who. So I showed her your videos and now she's addicted. Keep up the great work man

simple title, straight to the point, no clickbait. there's actually more in the video than you put in the title and thumbnails most of the time. this is the best way to run a youtube channel.

Love watching the videos, keep up the good work. I work for the MTO, Ontario's DOT. I've done highway maintenence, construction, surveying and engineering for the part 10 years. We're really careful when inspecting, cleaning out or replacing asphalt/tar coated steel pipes; they're really likely to have high amounts of asbestos in the coating. Just felt like I needed to let you know so we can all be safer out there clearing them clogs.

Thank you for bringing us this fascinating selection of culverts, the people have really appreciated how you described the issues concerning each one, the second one was certainly interesting as far as the material used, it was certainly robust. The first one was was certainly affected by the leaf fall season with it having a good amount of rotten leaves, hence the unpleasant odour. One hopes that the final one does get cleared as the pond has the potential to flow over the road during the great thaw. These have been a very interesting compilation.

Shouting into culverts is how you calm the culvert before you operate on them. Otherwise they will summon a vengeful spirit of a beaver to bite holes in your mudboots.

Two thoughts: 1- take a compass reading to help aim the right direction; 2- use a long skinny metal rod with a T handle to feel for the pipe through a few feet of soil or muck.

Since you had a second person there and it's not too much road crown, you could have grabbed a couple rocks or sticks to ''gun sight'' the diagonal one.
From the visible side have them put like 2 rocks on roads shoulder inline with culvert, cross road, line up the rocks. Should get you a little closer to the hidden end faster

Never knew steel culverts were lined with tar. Seems like it would be more durable if they lined them with blow-molded PVC or something.
