    Opened up TH-cam today and this popped up. Great to see you back Vlogging! I absolutely love these shoes and its faster iteration - the Takumi SEN 8s.

      Oooh I haven’t tried the Takumi’s - they look pretty nippy though! Thanks for watching - we had a bit of a break over the winter, hope you’re both well ☺️

    Good to see you back again, its been a while! Hope that you have been keeping well and good luck for London in a couple of weeks

      Thanks Gez! It’s been too long! We had a little break over winter - too much on with the house and tough to film whilst I’m running in the dark 😅 But we’re both well and raring to hit London 💪

    Adios Pro 3 or Nike Vaporfly for 5k? Also, can I notice any difference if I wear AP3 for a 5k race compared to a max cushioned shoe?

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You’ll notice a difference in AP3 over max cushioned shoes for sure. Honestly, there’s barely a playing card between those two shoes. Recently, I’ve been loving the Metaspeed Sky Paris - that’d be my pick 👍

    hi i'm new to running,
    I estimate to be around 20 minutes in the 5k I own the adios pro 3 and the new balance Rebel v3, which would be better to race the 5k on the road with?

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d run in the Pro 3 for a 5K PB effort. The Rebel is a good shoe, but more of an all-rounder, daily trainer rather than a racing shoe.

    Nice review I've tried most super shoes but never tried adidas I'm really thinking of buying these today.

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go for it! You won't find a huge amount of difference if you've tried the Vapofly - but a fantastic shoe nonetheless.

      @@TheVeganRunner I hated vapours only had one run on the Adidas wet out seemed fast but they did seem slippery around corners and not the best grip.

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lukevirtualgameruk3523 Interesting - I ran London in them this year, very wet/slick conditions and they held up really well. Not all that many tight corners on that course though.

    Nice. There’s a new Devon one for you to do, which started last week in Totnes. I did it and it’s a very picturesque one, although a tough/hilly course.

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Graydon! We’re heading to Totnes in a couple of weeks - thanks for the course info; it wouldn’t be a Devon parkrun if it didn’t have at least one decent hill 😅

    I've seen these on discount.Would you recommend? I have already ordered the cumulus from asics as I'm not quite a a marathon stage yet, more a general fitness runner.

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll use these for any distance when I want to go fast 👍 Perfect for setting PBs across all distances really but not a shoe you’d want to wearing as a daily trainer. Hope that helps!

    • @gb2983
      @gb2983 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TheVeganRunner interested as to why do say not a daily? Just Price per mile? Durability? I got some for £150 from sports shoes and did a first easy run today and found them to be stable enough for a daily and they're not so expensive at this price point for a lot of people.

    • @TheVeganRunner
      @TheVeganRunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gb2983 That’s true - at £150 they are more accessible if you wanted to use them as a daily trainer. I find a lot of lateral movement in high-stack, plated shoes, and experience lower calf soreness with daily use so I’d avoid them for that reason as a daily trainer. Also, there’s a psychological boost when wearing these for race day and finding the target pace that little bit easier than in training.

    • @TheVeganRunner

      No animal in the components of the shoe. Adidas said they were phasing out animal glues in most shoes about 4 years ago, so it’s difficult to be 100% certain on that front. Emailing is a bit hit and miss on responses.
