I think the daughter brought her mom there to become her live in maid/slave and is refusing to respect her as her mom. I’ve seen this happen a lot, it’s a shame

The daughter needs to give mom her passport and let her go back home. I'm sure the Nigerian Embassy in Uk can issue her a passport and help with getting her back to Nigeria. If the mother is toxic and I am the daughter, I would cut off all ties from her.🤷🏾‍♀️ How can you be toxic to your own child?

There are a lot of narcissistic mother in the world, many of us just have a hard time accepting that and acting accordingly. This is not the first time that mother has lied on the daughter, the daughter just didn’t learn.

What I sense is that the mother wants to gain independence and make money for herself, so her plan is to seek asylum since she claimed that she doesn’t have her passport … calling the police is the height of it all, she must have an adviser somewhere.

Some of our children assume they are the master and have right over anyone they take abroad who are not citizens. In Nigeria, we have maids that assist around the house and so, there's little the Mama can do. Nigerian parents do not joke about respect for elders!!
On the other hand, some mothers' are not cut out for grandma's duties. They are too entitled and would make life miserable for the child if they do not get their way!!

Terrible. But I think that the mother has her passport. She probably wants to put pressure on the daughter to accommodate her demands. But I could be wrong 😂

Whatever the case I assume we can consider the said passport as lost. Let the mother follow the procedure for lost passport get a temporary travel document and go back home

I have seen too many immigrants do that to their mothers, she is not your maid or your nanny, those children are yours to raise with their father, you are not entitled to your mother’s help. If you choose to bring her in your home, it is for a visit not to be your slave performing unpaid labor for your benefits. The best you can do is leave her at home if you are not gracious enough to invite her into your home and treat her with the same respect and dignity you would give her back home if you were living in her house. How dare a daughter thinks the respect dynamic changes because they are living abroad? Take care of your own damn kids, this is why so many of you who’s mother help raise your kids gets no appreciation because you think you are entitled to it, well you are not, if your mother help you it is a blessing and not a duty.

We should be thinking of the child in this unhealthy environment, and what's best for that child.
The mother can go to the embassy and have them sort out a new passport.
Our UK police have real problems to deal with while mother and daughter play these childish games of control & manipulation.
Sorry to be direct, but this is a waste of everyone's time.

@@vmat6684 I agree. I'm a psychotherapist and was baffled by the overly dramatic and sensationalist presentation. These unhealthy family dynamics are common unfortunately.

@@lightdweller1 … sorry I am not being overly dramatic, you know how things can quickly turn rough when police are involved? Not everyone is a psychotherapist like you, people need to be aware of the implication of unreasonable actions. You also mentioned above that a vulnerable old woman should go to the embassy to sort out her passport, do you think it’s that simple? I’m very disappointed at your lack of understanding, and you claim to be a professional - a psychotherapist with no empathy? My 2 minutes video is a waste of your time? Well thank God that thousands of people can connect, so you’re the problem here.

@@vmat6684 .. Firstly, I am not a social worker, if you listen to my video and pay attention to details you will hear me introduce myself.
Because you’re so naive, you think everyone is making videos for views? You need to heal from your myopic mentality.

@@Pepstalk1 What have you made people aware of exactly? There are no takeaways at all. You have 15k views and 91 likes, I'm not sure you have a realistic reading on the impact of this video.
Interesting to see an you make a defensive personal attack on my professional attributes knowing nothing at all about me. You invited comments; I raised a concern for the child and commented on the video presentation - not your person, there's a difference.
You still say nothing about the child. As for empathy, have you done anything 'directly' to help the family in any practical way?
I'm fully aware of how these domestic situations can escalate, hence my concern for the child, I live in the UK and aside from being a therapist I worked for 'victim support' linked to the police to help victims of domestic ab*se, my work was voluntary... I was doing something practical to help others so go ahead and attack my character as lacking empathy if it makes you feel better.
I shared my opinion, you could learn from it, ignore it, or attack the commenter... you chose the latter which is totally your right, but it's not a good look for your channel.
