  • Hi everyone! We finally did it! We are on the road full time! We're Traveling in our 2017 northern lite 9-6 truck camper, on top of our 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 dually 4x4. We set off from Arizona and head north through the rocky mountains, and take you along on our adventure through some scenic areas that we think you all will enjoy! And even stop in and check out the Mesa Verde National Park!

Love that you're showing the actual driving

When there's some beautiful scenery we definitely like to show it as we go.

Reminds me of Cripple Creek, CO. Glad to see a new truck camper channel.

Yeah there's not alot of truck camper TH-camrs out there. I always enjoyed watching them and they seem to dwindle away. So we went out and started making our own haha.

Good luck with the channel. Maybe talk about (and film) the advantages of a truck camper over a trailer or 5th wheel every once in awhile. 👍 Also, maybe some of the gadgets that make your life better in our limited truck camper space. My girlfriend doesn't seem to understand the concept of downsizing.

@@alaska-bornfloridaman haha it takes some effort and will to down size that's for sure. But once you do it, you feel this weight lifted off your shoulders so I definitely suggest giving it a try. And all good topics thanks for the suggestions always helps. I planned to do ones like that in the future once I get some more experience under my belt.

Wow crazy that it's so crowded in dispersed camping areas. Glad you guys were able to find something though! I'm sure it's very liberating to be on the road full time like that. Have fun!

It turely is! Just finding out that we're in peak camping season in colorado is making it tough to find spots, but so far we make it work one way or another haha. And slowly making our way to Wyoming will see if it's any different there.

The crowdedness will go away soon. Partying seems to require warm weather..... Wyoming will be cooler. I went to the University of Wyoming and summer is over there. 😉

I think you guys are doing well for a new channel. My only suggestion to help your channel is to work towards better Mic's and interlude music + volume control. It really sets the tone for your story.

Thank you! Definitely not a skilled video editor haha. But it's a learning process along the way. I'm just starting to learn more and play with the sound settings. The rode micro mini mic is lacking, it helps with wind but if you turn it away from you it can barely pick up your voice. So it has to be pointing right at you, then its good. All a learning process. Will take any feed back we can get thanks again!

Just a suggestion- more dialog and less music. Your videos are enjoyable so tell us what you are doing and where you are.

I have switched to this type of videos in my newer overland style videos. No more music. I Try to make it feel like you're there more with me then just some cinematic type video. More quick quiet clip's with intermittent talking, Something different then what's out there already. Thanks for the input.

Thank you! When you guys are ready to collaborate let us know haha. We've been getting into some nice spots with this 9-6, gives us that added nimbleness we wanted.

Have fun!, PS your audio is coming through kinda weak😜

Thank you, yeah not sure what was going on with our micro mini rode mic there. We've taken it off to see if we get an improvement with just the camera mic. But for some reason it was weak that one day then came in loud and clear the next. It's sensitive to sounds it seems. All a work in progress will get it figured out haha.
