A lot of people hated on Creed, like they do Nickleback. But these guys rocked hard even with the "Christianity" vibe in some songs. There's a bunch of pretty good songs in their library.
Its ridiculous there no reason to hate Christianity. Rappers like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony sound like church choir boys and talk about GOD all the time but they dont get shit on as much. And they Both 90s artist
I love all music and we need to recognize God more than we do...2pac did alot and I always respected him for that...i feel proud when i hear others recognize our God
For a time, everything Creed touched turned to gold. People try to act like they were a horrible band, but obviously they were good. People are just afraid to go against the grain of society's group think mindset and say what they really feel; that they jammed the shit out of this back in the day.
I remember in 1999 I meet the drummer at woodstock. He invited me and a friend of mine to a club that was for woodstock performers only. It was absolutely awesome. My friend and I were the only 2 who were nobody's. Ill never forget that night was crazy AF.
Great band for sure! You should check out Alter Bridge they're still around almost 20 years later. Mark Tremonti is one of the greatest guitar players in history IMO.
This band really didn’t deserve all the hate they got. It’s just because they had a lot of hits and were so popular. If this came out today and was in the top 40 people would be loving it! Way better than most of that auto tuned crap they call music now.
I’ve been a Creed fan since I first heard the first notes of “My Own Prison” on October 27th, ‘97. Little did I know that over a quarter of a century I’d still be just as into Mark Tremonti as I was back then…..in fact EVEN MORE TODAY! Creed got so much hate because of Scott Stapp and the fact that like most…or maybe I should say MANY “christians” he was/is a hypocrite and a douche bag. He had/has a phenomenal voice but he also has a LOT OF BAGGAGE. I’ve heard many times that “he’s changed” and “he’s not the same as he was back then”, perhaps that’s true but I’ve seen far too many occasions with him were that WASN’T the case. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Alter Bridge even more then I loved Creed. Perhaps I relate to the lyrics more because I like Myles Kennedy am an Atheist!! Perhaps it’s the insane musicianship/talent. Idk but regardless Creed did NOT deserve even 1/3 of the hate they got, but hey unfortunately you can’t teach people to have good taste in music. If everyone actually did have good taste in music, idiots like Cardi B with her WAP, WOULD NOT EXIST!
People wouldn't love this if it came out today and was in the top 40. People would riot, actually. Don't worry, it just shows how out of touch you are and how you let your own opinions cloud your judgment.
Faceless Man is a personal favorite on this album. Weathered (titled song on the next album)is another good one that is over looked. The progression of their first 3 albums is so emotional listening to Scott's journey...so many people miss that.
I've been saying that for however long since the album came out. But Faceless Man was the best on the album, for me. All three of their first three albums were excellent. Not a bad song in the bunch (not counting "overplayed" as "bad). Their fourth was very good, as well. But those first three, man....
These guys only seem to get hated on because Scott Stapp did crazy stuff. But Scott together with the rest of the band always sound good. Marc Tremonti is a very talented guitarist. Brian and Scott the drummer are good too.
Beautiful, Say I, Never Die, Faceless Man, Are you Ready, Wrong Way, Inside Us All..all really good songs from this album, which sold 10 million by the way
Creed has always slapped in my opinion... I used to rock this song back in 1999 while skateboarding in my parents basement with my buddies... I think people just started to disrespect them when they found out the members of the band were Christian...
Actually a lot of them aren’t highly religious. It was Scott Stapp’s hurtful/painful upbringing in which he was beaten by his step father in the name of God that made him have so many Christian themes. The band even resented being labeled a Christian rock band as that was never their intent.
I`ve always loved Creed..check out these songs,I think you would like them 😊..My Own Prison,Torn, Higher,What`s This Life For,One,Sacrifice and Arms Wide Open..Keep On Rockin'
Thank you to everyone who responded to my comment I didn't leave it for sympathy but thank you anyway great in many other singers have ways of touching your heart or example another one to check out by Creed six feet isn't that far away cockatiel moloch God has a plan for everybody just got outside and let his gold in 12 years a 56 and still looking for mine
Saw Creed in January of 2002 in Philly not long after 9-11, I have to say it was (is) in my top 5 all time shows the place shook for 2 plus hours it was everything you dont really see anymore, very positive uplifting and the energy they put out that night was amazing! I am basing this on the 600+ concerts i have attended over the years
I saw the same tour, but it was in Washington DC at the Verizon Center. They were really good live. They played this song too and the entire place was rocking and shaking.
My oldest son was 10 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia November 98 this album came out the 1st of 99 and at first I couldn't understand why he listen to the album until I really listen to the words damn one not about mid-2000 my son called me in the room asked me daddy am I going to die and that what's the hardest question that I ever had to answer we lost him on July 20th 2001
It's hard to properly state just how HUGE these guys were when they hit the scene in the mid-to-late 90s. Human Clay in particular absolutely catapulted these guys into the apex of late 90s rock. I couldn't go anywhere or ride in the car for more than 5 minutes without hearing one of Creed's many singles come on, and I loved every single second of them! Sadly, the fame got to Scott Stapp's head pretty badly, and he was down bad for quite some time after that. But he's been doing great these past few years, and even is back out performing again. Not only that, his voice sounds almost the exact same as it did back in his prime; honestly pretty shocking how good he still sounds in his older age.
When this song came out and the music video fused scenes from Scream 3. It hit hard and Creed we're crossing over into Mainstream with their album Human Clay. Love Creed and love that you are reacting to these hits for the first time. Your reactions are true and simply amazing. You should do One next. It's that good old school Creed I know and love 👍👍👍👍👍
Very good post-grunge band during the '90s and '00s. They have many great songs and videos. Agreed, it's good hype music before the gym and before playing football games at school, I used to do that lol.
Haven't heard this one before amazingly! Excellent to hear a harder song by Creed. Loved it! If you havent done Medicate by Theory of a Dead Man, would love to see you both react to that one. Excellent tune!
Classic album! Glad you guys are starting to dive into creed. I grew up this band and album. Definitely check out the song "beautiful" that comes after this track and 3rd track on human clay. Not only hard hitting as fuck, but lyrics are also very poetic.
Brad and Lex, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Y'all smiled, I smiled, it made my day! Godspeed to both of you. BTW, you can battle someone honorably. You don't have to kill to dominate.
“WHAT IF” is one of Creeds best songs. I love me some Creed. Ive seen them 6 times over the years with 9/7/24 being the last time….and yes ..they were amazing..! One of the best live bands ever.
I first heard this song about a year ago and my mind was blown. It reignited my passion for rock n roll. Such a well put together banger that amps you up!
This feels like it was from a 90’s teen horror flick. I think I’m remembering it was from “Scream” or “I Know What You Did Last Summer” or something like that. Track was a blast from the past.
Hey guys what's up! Greetings from South Florida! This song and higher are my two favorite Creed songs. Mark Tremonti write some awesome riffs. This song sounds a lot like his solo stuff. You guys rock! God bless you! Peace!
One of their heaviest songs. I love it
It's pretty average-heavy actually. Creed is a lot heavier than the radio would have you believe.
I think Bullets is their heaviest
@@jc2004x I've been tryna get them to react to Bullets! And yes, I would also say it's probably their heaviest.
You don't really know Creed if you think this is one of their heaviest songs.

I think their music holds up better than their contemporaries.

Absolutely!
You guys need to listen to Alter Bridge. All the great things about Creed + more.
They were accused of creating songs for the “radio” only. i disagree. I think they were genuine beasts

I'm a 62 year old 70's rocker chic and Creed was one of my favorite band's when they came to light. Keep on rockin! 🎶🎸☮️ love your reactions
People your age tended to really like Creed, from what I noticed.
Great band for sure! You should check out Alter Bridge they're still around almost 20 years later. Mark Tremonti is one of the greatest guitar players in history IMO.

This is my favourite CREED song! This song has one of the greatest music videos!
The guitarist, Mark Tremonti, is a terribly underrated artist. I would go to their concerts and just watch him play so effortlessly. Love this band!
YES - this song made me follow Mark unto Alter Bridge. He's great.
@@StevesRealWorld , I have one of his guitar picks. He is so great!

I LOVE how you both associate songs to the real world. It shares so much about who you both are. all kinds a groovy!
They were awesome live. Great band. Same with Nickelback. People hate on them just bc they want to feel like they are with the in crowd.
Creed is awesome

Never Die has some of my favorite guitar work from Tremonti.
Great reaction as always! This is one of my favorite Creed songs. The whole Human Clay album is phenomenal!
A song you go Mudding to!! 😆😅😂🤣 Would love to be there for that. This song was also part of soundtrack to Scream 2 I believe

Pretty much dude. Christian = uncool. Doesn't matter which genre. Look at Mortification. Pretty standard OSDM, but people still hate on them.

One of my favorites,The Faceless Man is another good one.
That's a BANGER. Love some Creed.
I love creed. This is on Scream 3.
In our locker room there was plenty of Korn music, and we came out to "Blind"
One last breath...is another hit
Creed is one of the best bands from that time frame. The world could sure use Stapp’s lyrics about now!
I saw Creed with Collective Soul in Concert. Awesome concert.
I`ve always loved Creed..check out these songs,I think you would like them 😊..My Own Prison,Torn, Higher,What`s This Life For,One,Sacrifice and Arms Wide Open..Keep On Rockin'
+ 1997 album track 5...
Glad I got to see them perform at Woodstock 99 all the bands did a killer show..
I'll never forget when Chris Daughtry performed this song on American Idol.
It's funny that you talk about this as a hype song, cause in college, it was song #1 on my playlist to get psyched for softball games 🤣
If you used different music to get pumped you might have made it past softball to wiffle ball

Definitely my favorite Creed song. Thanks for all the reactions guys. You guys are an awesome couple!
Creed and 12 Stones were huge during the Attitude era in the WWE
This is definitely my favorite from them! I love the growly sound of Scott’s voice and the content is killer!

BULLETS is a must for you with Creed! Love this band, always have always will.

This is the kind of tune you could've expected to hear in a video game menu music or something back in the early 2000's. Or even on a WWF/E program.
