I must be getting stronger because this workout did not exhaust me. I started a few months ago doing your step workouts and I could barely make it through them. Now I can do them and feel good! Thanks for helping me improve my strength and stamina. Your step workouts are one of the best I have found because you guide and direct each step and don't make things too complicated. I can't wait for more!!!!!!!

This is the perfect format, Jenny - cardio and weights. I watch your videos during lunch time and try to pick which one I will workout with after getting back home. I actually look forward to doing them once I get home.Step aerobic is definitely a much more fun format, sometime I get bored with other conventional routines and cannot figure out what to do, keep switching between workouts but I always finish your workouts from start to finish.
I like the music and your shirt :-))) This primarily environment is wonderful and it is completly different to the "blue-ocean-in-the-background"-workouts !!! It is a good mixture with the strength training- parts, great that you diversifyed this work out. . So I have my workout for tomorrow safe... it will be fun, that's for sure! So funny I happened to choose this video for today. We just returned from vacation in Glacier and then down to Red Lodge! That is a lovely little town! And the Beartooth pass is breathtaking.
I did it and it was really good and makes me sweat a lot ! This third combo with these "endless" repeaters is hard but a very good idea ! I just had this unfamiliar, shaky feeling to get into the step move again after the strength training segment...only 10 or 20 seconds and I was back in the "step mood" . These changes are challenging ! Thanks for this workout, thanks for your effort to make us move with fun. Like you so much :-)))

Today is my first day back to doing step aerobics in more than 10 years. This workout was challenging, but do-able with alot of effort. I am drenched in sweat. Loved it.
Great workout, five stars, loved it! The weight training intervals worked wonders for me since I tend to develop exercise induced migraines with 45 min. straight routines. Thank you!
Not a fan or step and weights. I wish I would have noticed the title before I started the video. I like to keep my cardio going uninterrupted, & then do weights, but, I just kept doing my own step moves while you did the weights, but I am glad that I did this workout, as it shows me how far I have come with your classes. I have done all the first 5 live step classes which have allot of choreograph, & I beat myself up how I can't get them the first time, but, now I have conquered them all, and going back to this beginner one, I can pat myself on the back, on how far I have come.

Again...LOVE these videos!!! I've been doing them regularly for about 3-4 months now. But, I just want to reiterate how great your cues are!! I had to do a workout using my phone and if it hadn't been the excellent cues, I wouldn't have been able to do it, because I couldn't see the screen! Lol love the music too!

Jenny, I loved this workout! Thank you, really enjoyed it. I consider myself a moderate stepper (not a very beginner, but not super advanced.) I love routines like this that are just basic moves and not too dance-y, but not too easy either. Just perfect. The only thing is, don't most classes run through the whole routine at the end after you learn the combos? I thought it was a bit strange we didn't go through the whole routine as a whole with all five combos...other than that, wonderful!! Please keep posting these, I love step.

I LOVE this workout! It has everything and I felt like my whole body had worked hard. You're an amazing instructor (although I did have some choice words for you during the shoulder press sections lol), and the beautiful location you film in is so inspiring. I've written this before, but as tough as they are, your workouts are always fun, varied and don't feel like a terrible punishment.... except perhaps the shoulder part :-)
Hi Mita M, great question! Yes, when you first start stepping, you want to glance down at your bench from time to time. When I filmed this particular workout, the ground was COVERED in rocks, and shrubs, so yes, I looked down A LOT-- LOL-- really more than normal, so I wouldn't twist my ankle on a rock. You'll find that you get a pretty good feel for your step, and won't have to glance at it as much, the more you step. Thanks for the question! :D

Quick question: I have never done step aerobics before. And I see you looking down before stepping on the stepper every single time. Would it not be hard for us to look at you and step on it at the same time or is it just a matter of practice?
Britt harris Most of my step workouts are at 130 bpm. Step by Step I believe is at 128 bpm. Some of the marching ones are faster though. HOpe that helps. Great idea to make a playlist you enjoy!
Amy Judd Yes, those split basics really take some getting used to, as well as doing ham curls up on the bench. (I've always found that to be true in my step classes as well.) No worries, I'm just pleased you are willing to try it again. You will definitely get the hang of it if you try again. Let me know how it goes! :)
