Dear Paul, thank you for this beautiful presentation of that lovely hybrid organ. It speaks well of you that you want to demonstrate and perform on these beautiful organs that aren’t necessarily a purist’s preference. I appreciate your genuine love of excellence in the organ and how we use them to uplift those who listen and especially to God Himself! Most of us are fortunate to have an acceptable organ whether it’s all pipes or is just a good
electronic organ. It’s
encouraging to have your beautifully written originals and
your hymn transcriptions to use in our own churches. I’m
Practicing your pieces most every day and am using them ! God bless you, Royden
The great Carlo Curley was a proponent of hybrid instruments that were well designed and balanced. The articulation of wind and digital stops has only progressed since his time, as you now demonstrate.
I met Carlo . He was a wonderful fellow.
Great demonstration of this beautiful instrument! I’ve actually been to this church before! A great instrument in a great room, and lovely people.
Oh Paul, I am waiting your presentation, certainly a beautiful illustration of this Cassavan organ after your concert in Raleigh !!
Sehr schöne Orgel in dieser Kirche. Vielen Dank für deine Arbeit. 👌👍👏 Bravo
Very beautiful presentation of this Cassavan hybride organ, very balanced between pipes and digital stops ❤
And also a very nice recording sound as you have the feeling like the video. Bravo dear Paul 👍👍👍
Great Sound and Compilation ! It.s very nice and surprising to hear the combination ... Thank you ! Paul.
Thank you so much for watching! 😀
Great demonstration. Paul,Would loved to have heard your recital. ,Keep up the great work Paul you are a very gifted young man .
Very nice presentation and a very nice organ, you can see that the organ doesn´t have to be big, even one that looks small can be very nice. thanks for this presentation.
That's so true! Thank you so much for watching! 😀
Sehr sehr schöne Orgel. Danke für die Präsentation. 👌👌👍👍
This video reminded me of a TH-cam concert by Gert Van Hoef and Martin Manns. They played several Content organs. The largest used Hauptwerk and functioning pipes. ( I was curious about how that worked. Apparently, a German engineer figured out how to get air into the pipes without the usual parts. The only thing I could relate his method to was the fuel injection used for car engines. The player could choose Hauptwerk, pipes, or combine the 2. Fascinating). From Chicago, U.S.A.
Sehr schön Paul Fey, vielen Dank 👌👌👌
Beautifull sound!
Rodgers was making hybrid pipe/electronic organs 40 years ago, augmenting existing pipe installations.
Love this beautiful instrument! Love your beautiful playing! Thanks.
Thank you so much!! 😀
A wonderful demonstration of this hybrid organ, with 27 ranks of original 1968 Cassavant pipes and 17 ranks of Walker digital stops added in 2015. Paul has done a wonderful job of presenting both loud and soft combinations, as well as using the super couplers. Thank you for making this video; the sound was incredible and you presented wonderful visuals of the church.
17 voices not ranks. While they are the best in the industry. They’re still not real.
Gelungene Präsentation, ich wünsche Dir ein schönes Wochenende. Liebe Grüße. Gerd
Very intersting sound. Regards. (sf)
Paul, this is fantastic as always! It's great that you are so positive and open-minded - a real role model for all organists. This organ is just as exciting and capable of inspiring us as any other!
Just made my Friday afternoon!
Großartig Paul Fey 👌👍🏻👏
Ich bin begeistert von dieser Orgel 👌👏👍
You're here in Raleigh! Are you doing a concert? There are some amazing instruments in the area. I hope you get a chance to try out some of them.
Guten Tag, lieber Paul.
This is absolutely amazing Paul! I love it! You're so incredibly good my friend!😁👍👏👏👏
Thank you for a brilliant presentation of this organ!😁👍
Gefällt mir ausgezeichnet ❤👍🙏👌
Très belle présentation. Superbe 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Merci beaucoup Paul !🎶🎶🎶🎶❤️
You said that there was one rank of pipes on the great manual (a flute) but you didn't say how many more actual pipe ranks are on this organ. It's sound is impressive.
A wonder hybrid organ and a great demonstration, as always! Walker Digital always does great work with their digital stops and this organ is no exception.
Thank you!!
I love it Paul 😊😊😊😊😊
Ist dies was Ähnliches?
Weer een top performance Thanks 🎹🎹👍
Wunderschöne Orgel. Vielen Dank für die Demo. 👌👌👌
well done, my friend 👏
no idea if you did stop demo etc was so relaxing i was in ZZZZZZZzzzzzz land within seconds
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
👌
Hat nicht Fräser Gartshore diese Orgel auch mal vorgestellt? 😉
Denke ich eigentlich nicht 😂 Verlinke mir sonst gern einmal das Video!
Magnifiscent organ and performance. I only wish it was not chained down with carpet and padded pews. Churches will spend a fortune on the organ but it would be much better spent building acoustics.
Not all organs do well with buildings that have acoustics. For example, the National City Christian Church in Washington DC used to have acoustics of 6-9 seconds and because of that it made the large Moller organ sound very thin and not clear. In 1981 National City Christian Church put carpets in the building to make the acoustics smaller and it was one of the best things they did for the church. If West Raleigh Presbyterian Church have larger acoustics, the organ might need to be a little larger than it is now.
@@StoreeDenson i once played the smallest kilgen pipe organ in Sts Cyril and Methodius in Shiner Texas. It sounded like heaven with the high tin ceiling, but then they carpeted everything and it killed it.
@Richard-vq7ud Kilgen organs always sound nice in big acoustics. I am not sure about small Möller and Casavant organs based on the ones I played before.
@@StoreeDenson i just love big acoustics, partly because it is very rare nowadays.
@Richard-vq7ud They are rare. Sadly, most of the newer large church organs are in dry acoustics in the US.
Why would a builder not install a real diapason chorus in the Great? That’s backwards.
No penquins 😮💨
Chimes are not for chords tho.
