- what's up, Miami Heat nation! happy Friday, everyone! video number two of the day. on this episode of Miami Heat talk, we're talking about Duncan robinson. with two years left on his contract coming into the final fully guaranteed year since in 2026 only 9.8 million of his contract is fully guaranteed the question needs to be asked, are the Miami Heat potentially going to move on from him after next season? Duncan Robinson suffered a pretty bad back injury and there has been no update for the injury, also he will turn 31 years old as of next April and it looks like after this year the Miami Heat may be moving on to the new phase of the BAM adebayo build. do you guys feel that Duncan Robinson will still be with the Miami Heat after next season? I definitely hope so, but I want to hear from the heat nation. let me know in the comments your thoughts. God bless you E-MAN still praying for a fast recovery for ya and I agree with us too I like Duncan but that back injury is something serious especially if he has to pull up from long range day so we'll find out down the stretch
It's possible. If there are cheaper shooters who can do more I see them moving on. Especially since nobody wanted him in a trade.
Duncan vs Youth Movement. My guess is if the Heat Summer League class (outside of KW) is able to carve out minutes (thereby taking minutes away from DR) then the writing will be on the wall before the 2024 🎅 Holiday season.
I love all the people and vloggers that think that paying Duncan 20 million a year for losing his job to an undrafted Strus, plays no D, is inconsistent, and in his best year has averaged only 13 points a game (and will not make a shot when the team needs it) was a good team decision. Oh and now he has back problems. The Heat need more of that.
Duncan should be Averaging,17 points a game, for the money he is making. If he can't score 15 points a game this up coming season ,the Heat shouldn't resign him,and not giving him 10 million contract.
For over three years now all of you bloggers been pleading, begging, petitioning the Miami Heat to get rid of Duncan. Thank goodness there are smart people in charge that don't take orders from TH-camrs who thinks they know better.
I agree. Other than the fact that Robinson is overpaid, plays no D, no other team wants him, and he lost his job to Strus who then balled out and we lost him to a rival because Robinson wasn't playing to his contract. Other than all that Robinson's a great player. There's a reason why no other team wants him.
You all don't get it the problem is Erick Spoelstra know players don't like Spo he needs to be FIRED ASAP
anyone saying spo is the problem needs to stfu
@@saewhat6034 without Lebron, Spo is a .544 coach with 0 chips, and has given fans a small ball offense that gets his players hurt all the time and is among the worst 5 in the NBA in the past 3 years. Other than that Spo is great.
No...there should not be any year..because he must be tossed..along with butler...and let the offense going to bam and herro and rozier..
Ppl knock Lowry but in reality he’s never been replaced like Duncan. If we look at careers 6x allstar nba champion scored the first 11 points in finals terry can’t get outta round one. And the guy who burned us with 4 3s in play in dude looked like curry against us .
Lowry is good in Phillly. Miami doesn’t need K low. Glad hes doing well, but Miami will do better this year
Terry is actually a great replacement for Kyle. But he's out. Rozier should be given a chance until the trade deadline.
A Kyle Lowry type PG is exactly who we needed. Defensive, great playmaker, scorer. But, he way outta his prime.
Rozier is an excellent replacement, because he's also a score first PG who can be a ballhandler and facilitator. He needs to be given a chance.
@@yapyap3 yes all I’m saying is if we put the Career stats Kyle better 6x allstar nba champion scoring 11 straight vs warriors and a ring he also took Miami to finals which is further then terry not even past round one and weaker defender then 37 Lowry
@@Heat3955yup, but we can't use their career stats here, because Lowry was like 35 when he came here, we didn't have THAT Kyle Lowry. Toronto had that champion, that all star, that 2 way, 3 level Lowry.
We got a washed version of him.
And no, Kyle didn't put us in the finals, that's Jimmy. Kyle was a great piece tho.
And, did you forget that Rozier didn't play?
You're talking about Lowry like he's still in his prime. At this stage of their careers, I'm taking Rozier 10/10 times.
@yapyap3 yes I agree what I. Saying is lowry has better resume
Love Duncan but hopefully Tyler assumes his role and can replace him.
Trading Duncan next year might give us a good return to keep building around our young core
We won't get any good return for guys like Jimmy (contract, age, injuries), Duncan (contract, inconsistencies) and Herro (health issues).
The only way we can flip Duncan for a young star is by making his salary a filler, meaning, trading valuable pieces like Jacquez, Ware and 1 or 2 first along Duncan.
If we're just looking to offload Duncan, the trade return will be super low.
The Heat tried trading Duncan this off season and had no takers from the entire league. He sucks and needs to go. Riley needs to get fired for paying him so much.
