I’m recovering from a stroke out of town and will need to wait until I can use both arms again before I open this bad boy once I get back home. Great review!
I've been using my spare heads/hand as diorama pieces as well. I also just realized that we can now recreate that awesome Mike Deodato Art of Marvel cover with ML figures now!
I remember my favorite comic shop, Acme, always had the best selection of the Marvel Universe figures, and those were the ones my dad and I tried collecting, and in their loose figures display they had that sentinel. It was crashing through some ruined buildings, and whatever loose figures they had at the time were fighting it. While the sentinel was not for sale, that was still such a cool way to market the loose figures. Unfortunately, the sentinel has been mia for a couple years, and I never learned what happened to that display.
I'm happy for the people who bought the Sentinel and I'm happy that they can at least fix the knees even if it's not a permanent solution, but let's be real, let's just not forget about it and let Hasbro walk away like nothing happened. People need to keep bringing up this problem so Hasbro don't repeat the mistake next year with Galactus. Yeah, it's a cool piece and you may be happy with it, but it is your money, guys. You are the ones paying Hasbro, let your voices be heard to get even better figures.
@Lord Sidious I know its a design flaw. People should complain when something costs this much on principle! Will it fall on deaf ears? Might not since the ML team seems pretty attuned to the fans.
@Lord Sidious You miss 100% of the chances you don't take. Also don't be condescending. I KNOW its unlikely to change anything but again, its the principle of the matter.
I'm not saying people should be OK with substandard product, but I think people tend to overestimate the effect that kind of complaining tends to have. I doubt they care, because they already have people's money. The only thing that might provoke action going forward is if enough people stop ordering these products going forward, and even then it's probably more likely they will just stop making them all together rather than start making them better.
@@Tim85-y2q That's the genius of Haslab, it suckers people into paying upfront for a figure they won't see for at least a year, and in that time that money accrues more and more interest so that by the time the figure comes out Hasbro has made far more than the initial investment. And they can still get away with releasing a flawed $350 figure (which tons of people mindlessly defend by calling those who aren't happy with it "entitled".
Holy crap when you were shaking that table colossus was moving like one of those old vibrating football table games XD !! so good. Great review.. you showed the knee issue but you also showed your figure in some dynamic poses and how it really isn't that big of a deal even while yours was clearly loose. I would say be careful with the tension on that screw as you are grinding into plastic.. it's eventually going to strip that hole. I agree with you that it should have been a big heavy ratchet joint.
I just got mine about 20 minutes ago. Both of my knees are loose and he almost fell back. My heart stopped for a minute. I think Hasbro needs better QC...
@@hulksmash8159 Remember this was probably assembled by some overworked, underpaid Taiwanese grandmother. And done hundreds of time. Every car that rolls off a car line is slightly different than the one in front and behind it kind of thing.

And there came a day. A day unlike any other. When earth's mightiest fanboys found themselves confronted against a common threat. A loose leg syndrome no single Haslab backer could withstand. On that day... Robo was summoned! & Heralded as the 'Savior of the Sentinel'!!
Seeing the size of him just makes me hyped to get Galactus next year. Being bigger then this Galactus will slow me to use the carpool lane getting to work in the morning!!
I freaking love you Robo you are like my favorite reviewer out there, and don’t worry about being. Called an apologist or whatever haters gonna hate no matter what you say, enjoy it brother!
THANK YOU, thank you, thank you for finding the knee screw fix!!! I wasn't sure if I should even open mine after all the loose knees and falling over reviews I've seen. I was getting really bitter and having buyers remorse, your review just saved the day Fwoosh!
Great reveiw Robo! Been playing with my sentinel since Friday, and couldn't agree with u more. Like with every figure I pose, u have to find the sweet spot! This is the biggest figure I have, which makes it that much more difficult. But I love ❤️this big plastic bastard 😍!! Got two more to open 🤦🏽♂️
I've seen a few sentinel videos by now, jealous, envious, still waiting for my own to ship......but, I gotta say you have the best review so far. Everyone seems to be struggling just to get the sentinel on camera. Great job, keep it up.
Oh man, this is one of two sentinels I've been waiting for Hasbro to make. The other would be one like the Marvel vs Capcom one. Big fan of the sentinels that look like rockets.
Excellent review and the knee joint fix is much appreciated. Thanks for pointing that out for us! I'm definitely going to try that on my Sentinel when it arrives. He looks like an absolute beast (no offense to Beast)!
What an apologist! You definitely are a Has-BRO!!! 😂😂😂. That figure is FREAKIN awesome!!! What are people talking about Willis?!! Awesome review like always!!
I really was considering buying a couple of these during the pandemic, but felt like I made the bad decision of not pulling the trigger. Great review as always, thanks!
I missed out on him. A shame. I shoulda pulled the Trigger & said No. Now....... I would love to have him, but not at the 3rd party exorbitant pricing. Reasonable? yes. Way she goes. Done this before..... you'd think I would learn. Only myself to Blame. Great lil review
Definitely a great piece with the price. I wish I could've had the money to get it also would've been great to see how it would've looked with the Mezco X-Men figures
If I’m spending $350 for a premium toy it should be perfect. Also they should have used the ratchet joint on the leg. But in typical Hasbro fashion they cut costs so they can to save a few bucks.
Looking at this now I want a Haslab what if zombies giant woman hope van dyne in this scale, with an alternate battle damaged helmet and zombie head and hands. Zombie Wanda, Sharon and Janet van dyne could be bonus tier figures, and of course a Scott Lang head too 😂
Mine just arrived. I now measured the legs and back to start working on a chair for master mold. I cut out the shapes in paper. Waiting on the craft foam to start cutting sculpting snd then paint. Cannot wait to finish it out so I can have him sitting on the shelf with other sentinels around him
I wonder how many replies B4 mine, mention the obvious influence the Toybiz Sentinel had on this Versions little detail of paint apps and most of all wiring sculpt in between the joints/ abs-vertebra areas.... I'll ALWAYS be glad I own one, and thankful of Toybiz's contribution to Sentinel lore.
It's a shame the entire ball at the head doesn't light up. It'd mean you could turn the head and not black out the eyes, but more importantly, it would mean all 3 faces of the Tri-Sentinel would light up! I know NOTHING about the Tri-Sentinel so maybe that's accurate with one face active at a time, but it would have still looked pretty cool!
Great review! Can't wait for mine to arrive. As far as the knee screw goes, I'd probably just pull the screw out and put a dab of threadlock on it and put it back in. That should hold it in place for the foreseeable future.
For the first time ever I was going to watch the FwooshCast when it was actually being streamed live on Sunday… but there wasn’t a live stream this week…
I know I've said this already, actually I've made the same comment every time I had a chance but I'm so disappointed with Hasbro/Haslab because I wanted this ML Sentinel so bad and Haslab couldn't care less about the international collectors. They announced a solution for the international collectors and chose an UK partner to distribute the Sentinel but they "forgot" every one outside UK (Brexit is on) had to pay import taxes on top of the already very inflated retail price (since the partner himself had to pay import taxes the retail price was raised quite a bit) and the figure would cost a bit more then double the retail price. There's an UK Haslab now but again they only ship nationally so Galatcus is again out of my reach, for the same exact reasons it would've cost me and everyone outside USA or UK more then twice the retail price. Haslab, if by any chance you're reading this comment please start shipping internationally and charge us the import taxes before shipping so they wont be so inflated. If you somehow managed to find an European Union partner (collectors from countries outside it will still need some help) it would be even better because even if the retail price is a bit inflated it would never be so expensive as when we have to pay import taxes. I've been collecting Hasbro Marvel Legends (I also collect G.I. Joe, Transformers, Ghostbusters and Power Rangers) since you first started releasing them so I'm your supporter from the get go and I'm asking for help so I can buy more of your action figures!!! Is it too much to ask? About the Sentinel ML action figure, I know it's a very big and heavy action figure but with better engineering the range in the head, elbows, chest and ab crunch articulation could've been bigger by employing well known engineering solutions such as: when two parts (part 1 and part 2) articulate into one another part 2 will have a springed tab that will automatically be pushed in by part 1 allowing it to get partially inside part 2, when part 1 is pushed out the tab will automatically be springed into its' original position, that will allow for more range without breaking the sculpt. This springed tab solution is very easy to implement at this size and will work perfectly on the head, the elbows and the legs. In my opinion the gimmicks with the lights could easily be forfeited (specially since most collectors will only use them once or twice before displaying the action figure and then forget they even exist) to allow more articulation in the head, the chest and the ab crunch, other then wires crossing from one part to the other I can't see a reason as to why those articulation points can't allow for a bit more range unless they weren't well engineered and sculpted. Stronger ratchets could solve the looseness on the legs and knees, unless the parts were they are applied are so heavy that the weight can only be supported by incredibly strong ratchets, strong to a point where they become too hard to be manipulated without the risk of breaking the plastic. If that is the case they could use some system that will use ratchets with a locking system on each click that need a button to be pushed so they are able to click into the next position. We're talking about a premium action figure that costs more then the minimum wage in some countries so it should be close to perfection. As I said the engineering could have used some tweaks but the sculpt and paint look incredible, it's not a bad action figure. Thanks for the review Robo. P.S. I wouldn't mind if later on Hasbro decides to release a main line (not through Haslab but with the same exact size) classic looking Sentinel so everyone will be able to get one, they already tested it so they know it's a success that it will stock out fast. Even the collectors who already have one will be happy to own another one, maybe even army build them.
Argh, skipped both the crowdfund. This is just not a good period with my financials, plus its much costlier outside the US. I just hope they reissue these maybe in the future...since they already have the molds, a variant, a repaint, something...
Can't wait for next year's intro when Galactus walks in carrying Robo.
😂😂😭😭
The real question is will Galactus be able to even stand.
Probably not
Only for those who own football fields.
Fwoosh carrying galactus carrying sentinel carrying a wolverine😂
The amount of pictures I see with ppl treating the sentinel like a child has been hilarious
With the size and price of that thing, I would do the same thing.
$350 is pricey for a figure, but darn cheap for a baby (especially one with chronic knee problems).
Just like when the first Titan Class Metroplex figure came out years ago.
@@DudleyDawg People still do this with more recent Titan class Transformers.
