Great video, I have been looking at the boot iron man figs not sure about them at this point, it almost looks like they 3d scanned the original figure in which could be why the details are a little flatter and less sharp also the size difference. 😊

Thank you so much for calling “it” for what “it” is, a bootleg. Too many jerk-offs in the Transformers “community” get sooo butt-hurt for a bootleg being called a bootleg. They whine & cry argue that it is 3rd/4th party. Even somewhat established TH-camrs get butt hurt, even when presented with facts, these ppl revert to “Well, that’s the word/s used in this community.” To think that they are adults. 🤷🏻♂️

Ok, so please share with us the scholarly peer reviewed court case which explicitly denotes that any use of an intellectual property without the expressed consent of the proprietor is not a counterfeit. If you cannot provide such court case/scholarly peer reviewed article you have a moot point. FYI, bootleg does not denote poor quality, as you can clearly see in this video. 🤙🏽
To elaborate on what TOM-ro7rt wrote, In the Transformers community there is a difference between bootleg and 3rd/4th party figures, bootleg being a cheap knockoff of an already existing toy, as in the bootleg company steals a already existing figure and changes it a bit with the quality usually becoming worse. while 3rd/4th party figures most of the time are completely original figures modeled and engineered by the 3rd/4th party company themselves with the only similarity being that it is based on the same character although with a different name due to copyright.
I think the reason why some people are passionate on whether a figure is 3rd/4th party or bootleg may be that 3rd/4th party company’s are seen in a higher light in the transformers community due to their excellent quality when compared to bootlegs which are seen in a not so good light due to their terrible quality, but that’s just what I think. I also own some 3rd/4th party and bootleg transformers so I know the differences between them in case anyone is unconvinced of my claims.

I just recently bought a bootleg Amazing yamaguchi Deadpool 2.0 from a store that has a great review from another collector I know. The store is Red nose store. But I’d also like to grab me one of the Arkham red hood AY from there too for the same reasons. Would love to see you pick those up too cost me around $23 shipped

Well, this is the truth because all these figure we get and love. They are charging way more than they really cost. Like WAY more. And we all know that deep inside. I am a collector and have a huge collection of expensive figures, and there are so many times i told myself "man, there is no way this thing cost that much". And there you go.

Honestly I think I know what's going on. So what I understand to have these molds made it's about $100,000? that's what I'm hearing. I don't know if that's really the case or not like I said that's just what I'm hearing. If that is the case probably what happened the original factory company made the mold and realized it was too small and they requested for another mold for the figure to be bigger which is what actually makes a lot of sense now. So what's that being said what do you do with the old mold. Well one thing you could do is sell it to a company that makes bootlegs. Or wherever they throw the mold and haven't landfilled pick it up and use it. What makes sense why all the joints were not wobbly or lose let's face it the mold was good it was just too small but what the company wanted.
