I have to say that I’ve had a lot of RCs and different manufacturers and the slash is my favorite so in saying that I hear the price point is high but if you love a slash you don’t care I’m getting one even if I have to sell a few cars!
Well , after several videos , your the only one that can keep it on it's wheels , I'll be doing the wide kit on it and sway bars sledgehammers , and heavier springs up front , but great video ! Thanx !
I can see the first Mod will be steel axels with 17mm hexes. You are going to do the radio also but I probably won't. What else do you see in the future other than XT90 plugs? Shock oil and springs? I know I'll have to play around with tires because I always do but that doesn't seem like much to change. Just drive it like I stole it and have MAXX FUN! Thanks for the squalling tires. You made up my mind.
you got it, springs, oil hopefully we see way more tire options now and yes absolutely the steel axles, but first I want to see these break, with these tires I doubt we will break them much.
Honestly, this is the review of the truck I've been waiting for. Every review I've seen kind of shows it rolling all the time and air control lacking. I'm kind of surprised to see the tire come unglued where they're belted. Sure, you can glue them back, but you could also have sand and junk in them at that point.
I think all the videos show that cos maybe, just maybe, its true? It doesn't handle well, deffo worse than anything similar on the market. Should be better for the price it is.
I’ll be going with wide maxx cutting the fenders an going with monster truck tires. Also seen a video the maxx bulk heads are direct fit an dude put the maxx body on
It should of came with traxxas part 10234 on the front as well to level the truck out.. which are those shock risers that are on the rear.. that helps keep the front from digging in and slapping chassis.
I’ve only seen them break on videos when folks want to be dumb and take to a skate park! Everything breaks at a skate park I haven’t seen them break in dirt yet!
A lot of very very good drivers complain about this thing. It drives like garbage. But of course Max Versappen would still put on a show in a Prius if that's what you're trying to say
@@ExocagedRCnot that your bias for Traxxas but you do have a unfair advantage with a home track. You could probably make the v1 maxx look good. I have one on hold for me, but when I see people doing barrel rolls in a park on a easy slow turn, ehhh I don’t know. Looks freaking sick though

Nice intro for this beast. Way out of my monitory grasp tho. I do have a question on the suspension. That rig slams down hard especially on the rear. I’m guessing you pretty much just took it out of the box. Can that bottoming be adjusted out, or are heavy rigs like that prone to slamming the ground? I don’t own any 6s rigs so that’s why the question. Thx
yeah I noticed it too but you have to figure on the big jump it was 20+ft up so yeah everything bottoms out hard on that. But yeah straight out of the box. As time goes on we will see all kinds of ways to tune it for everything.
I do like the tires for screeching in the streets , it can sound high speed chase with good driving and unlike Mojave tires I bet these will last on the concrete
I've never seen a more controversial RC. A lot of (credible) guys say it's terrible in comparison to it's competitors. But there's also a small handful of (credible) guys that say it's not that bad. Idk what to think and I don't wanna spend $700 to find out lmao
The guys that don't sht on it are the ones that do not want beef with traxxas 😆 Think it comes down to price, if it was 500$ truck people would overlook that
@ExocagedRC yeah no doubt probably going down in history as one of the toughest RCs ever made but handling wise it gets destroyed by it's competitors. No air control, rolls over way easier, doesn't fly well, doesn't stick most landings.. but it is faster OOTB and tougher than it's competitors, so I guess it should even out. Not for $700 though
Chill!! You talk like you own a actual decent sct like a tekno! When I reality you have a crappy entry level Arrma! A company know for its poor built quilty bendy chassis, diff issue! Esc issues, low grade fasteners, pivot ball issue they do zero R+D, they lie about scale! Over hype everything! Dont just bash bend!! Should be their moto the 4s Mojave has it's own issues! And I'm no traxxas fanboy! And do own a infraction which is also built like dog sh#t! The zd racing ex07 is built miles better and who are zd racing? God knows but still built better than arrma! And that's just a hard fact
Awesome vid Exo! Exoplex is looking amazing. This rc has too much traxxas proprietary stuff. The servo with the wierd case is too much for me. Wierd battery plugs and sizing, wierd hexes. Wierd wheelbase with no aftermarket bodies, clipless is cool but again it's a wierd traxxas system.
Hey i got a question the Losi rock rey v2 is $300 off. So $599 is it worth it. I believe i heard u say upgrade vitavon steering housing and its a great buggy do u agree?
Thanks for the response I just seen it was 300 off for March and I've already got most arrmas and traxxas so was looking for something diffrent either the rock rey v2 or Mayne corrally that new obersized buggy or kagama
Servo seems ok so far. Stock esc has that safety thing where it must be totally stopped before taking off in the opposite direction but it seems to be plenty strong out of the box.
Don’t know what you did, truck is way overpriced least traxxas could do is have a metal gear servo for 700 bucks. People fall for Traxxas overpriced rigs
Why is it 2 hundred more than the max just for the 6s system in it if same price as sledge why no metal drive shafts. That's the first thing that broke on my max after only 10 minutes of driving first time the u joints break super easy and don't understand why after buying the metal ones from traxxas you end up spending over 100 bucks more for it than the sledge witch is an 8 scale think traxxas is way over charging for the thing. This is coming from a long time traxxas customer who has spent a lot on traxxas over last 6 years
Meh, Mojave 6s is a much more vicious rc than this. This video from AMain hobbies a year ago: th-cam.com/video/-W20qhgUJ9s/w-d-xo.html Makes the Maxx Slash look like a toy grade rc for $60 less and it's been out for years. I'm not a Traxxas hater per se but this doesn't really compete with the Arrma, sorry not sorry
Finally, a review of a Short Course Truck doing some short course action instead of speed runs or to the moon bashing. Thanks.
I’ve got more! LoL.
smooth concrete.... tire screeches... beautiful.
I thought I was hearing things!! I had to run the video back a few times just to make sure!!! Ha-ha! Awesome!!!!!

Would the wheel combo fit on the udr
I know the UDR tires fit this with the adapter yeah I think so
Myself 6:51 and my friend bought our maxx slash yesterday and both our gyros aren't being activated so may I ask how do you set the TSM (gyro)
Turn the knob. The aux one closes to the steering wheel. That turns it up or down
😂😂😂😂 the screeching and joes kid like laughter... priceless. I always reglue factory tires, they never have enough.
😀
Supposedly from other reviews, the plastic drive shafts are supposed to have metal shafts inside of them.
Doesn't help from what I've seen. Already quite a bunch of broken axles on forums and groups. Seems to be a half assed attempt from Traxxas, as usual
I’ve only seen them break on videos when folks want to be dumb and take to a skate park! Everything breaks at a skate park I haven’t seen them break in dirt yet!
