- The new Traxxas Maxx Slash is fantastic. It's a little bit of all the best things Traxxas has to offer lately. Crazy speed, crazy durability, and crazy good fun. Does it have any shortcomings? Not really. Should you upgrade it anyway? YES! I add a TON of upgrades to make it better, including a custom Lando Norris inspired paint job! The extra X is for eXtra upgrades!

You might've chosen the other current McLaren F1 driver. Piastri won an Australian national RC championship in the 10.5T touring car class in 2010.

Awesome job Matt, thank you for showing how everything works in reverse. I've never really understood how to paint lexan. I can paint hard body crawlers but never lexan. Awesome video Matt.

Thank you for showing the painting! If you have an applicable project at some point, I need a demo of detailing chrome on lexan (trim around windows, bumpers, etc). Did you cut the masks on the Cricut? Oracle removable?
I use Oracal, but I don’t have a specific type for you. Detailing chrome is tough, but I cut masks using masking tape for those, and use the Traxxas Chrome spray product. Works great!
I'm having no luck with Tamiya PS paint and liquid mask. When I peel up the liquid mask to paint a new area the paint on the previously done panel wants to life up also. TH-cam makes it look soo easy.
Sounds to me like maybe you’re not prepping the liquid mask properly. You need to do at least three coats, in opposite brush directions and allow it to cure for at least 24 hours. Paint coats need to be very light, and multiple. Use a VERY sharp, new hobby blade as well. Maybe, do a test piece to confirm whether this method will work. Hope this helps!

This truck actually comes with 17mm hexes. These are just the aluminum replacements that were added!
What kind of spray paint would you use? Assuming you aren't using an airbrush. I've had bad luck with Tamiya paint, better luck with Traxxas paint. But I'm new to the game and don't know if there's a better one. My problem is the spray nozzles not coming out even and hence a poor result. I've never seen the brand you used in this video on a store.
OnPoint is a Canada-specific brand, but good news, it's the same formulation, and made in the same factory as the Traxxas branded paint!
