Literally answer are all the woes and have solutions for what I feel are also essentials when overlanding (fuel, cold storage etc). Just brilliant

Love the Khaya camper Jeremy! I remember visiting your showroom years ago when you just gotten in Andrew St.Pierre White's 1st troopy to build. I lived in Kenilworth at the time and loved popping in just to look at what you guys do!. Today I'm a proud owner of a Hilux fitted with an Alu-Cab canopy (probably the very first model haha). I love the Alu-Cab products and hope to one day experience travelling with the Khaya Camper! This year Botswana and next year Namibia 👌

Awesome rig, although not sure carrying jerry cans up that high is best use of space - should be lighter stuff up there and liquids down low

Hi from Switzerland ! Looking for buying a Khaya as soon as possible. Just one remark, I find it's a pity to have replaced the shower integrated in the khaya, by the showercube, not as well integrated.
Hi Didier, in which way do you feel it is not well integrated?
@@alu_cab From my point of view, in the previous version, the shower was integrated in the same compartment as the table. She didn't stick out. There we end up with an additional protuberance on the side, as the 270 Awning. In terms of aerodynamics, consumption ( without the roof bag ) and aesthetics I found much better before. Even if the old shower is a little less practical than the Showercube.

OMG Jeremy, you are an amazing mind, I'm in Australia and that is perfect for our country. I especially like the way the inside kitchen cupboard is accessible inside and outside. How did the pneumatic lifter start, is there a button you press on the right hand side of the vehicle? Is there any option to have that occur from inside the vehicle so that if the weather is terrible you don't need to go outside?
With the 2 sleeper is there a set up to sleep without the pop up tent deployed, just in case you need to be inconspicuous?
Does the 2 sleeper have the swivel table and same size fridge as the 4 sleeper?
What are the major differences with the interior pack between the 2 and 4 sleeper?

Thank you for the kind words! The pneumatic lifters start with a button on the compressor kit in the right-hand cupboard. Unfortunately, you cannot operate the pneumatic lifters from inside the Khaya, as you would still need to unlock the latches on the outside of the roof. There isn't a way to sleep in the Khaya (or any of our tents, for that matter) without popping the roof. The 2 sleeper does not have a swivel table like the 4 sleeper. The main differences between the two are that the 2 sleeper comes with the Dometic kitchen unit, which doesn't allow for a bed set-up to be deployed in the lower half like in the 4-sleeper because of the space available. No worries about all the questions! Let us know if you have more!
@@alu_cab you're more than welcome. Thank you for all the answers and so fast. It sounds like the 4 sleeper is the way to go, that way you can use it in the city as an overnighter as well as in the outback/bush. In Australia it's illegal to sleep overnight in your vehicle in the cities/towns unless you're in a designated camping spot, e.g. expensive caravan park, or free designated overnight car park off the side of the road/fuel station. Even out in the bush/outback sometimes it has to be designated for camping, otherwise you can get fined. Crazy times. BTW I loved my time in South Africa back in 2011 in the Spring, so beautiful, I was in a normal sedan rental car driving solo, it's like Australia but 10 times more beautiful. When I do it again, it will be in one of these on a Toyota Hilux for sure.

Which brand wheels do you run in Hilux?
Would this fit a 2021 Ford F150 5.5ft bed? Given the camper size?
I cant see why they weren't built longer to come out over the tailgate.

Hi there, we would not advise standing directly on the roof, but if you have something like our Roof Rack Tray installed, you can stand on that.

Hi there! Our Khaya Camper has been fitted to the Mitsubishi Triton before, but your vehicle would need upgrades to support the weight of the camper.
Would the kahya fit the jeep gladiator?

Hi Justin, the Khaya is not available in Australia yet but you can talk to Ironman 4x4 Australia about that as they are our distributors and are busy testing interest.
So expensive in Canada: 43,000$ and you have to add 5,000 for the legs and brackets and other options plus provincial tax. Completely insane price!
Do they make those for full size pickup ?
They do fit on full-size pick-ups - it depends on the truck but usually, spacers are used for fitment.
