I wish they’d use the pachislot models and stuff to remake the N64 games, if they released both Nintendo 64 games as a pair (like Assassin’s Creed rebels which had 4 and Rogue in one game) that would be perfect
In the comic version: 1. Ebisu is Goemon’s friend since childhood. She helped Goemon once when he nearly lost control by his own demonic power. She was kidnapped by Amakusa to power up the final weapon. Luckily, She was rescued by Goemon. 2. The head of Oedo Police is the former Goemon, his right arm was hurt when dealing with the enemies. Latter he backup the team with Hanzou, Kojirou and Musashi by creating another old model of Impact. 3. The final boss is Amakusa, he used Kiyohime’s demonic power to spread monsters by kidnapping Shogun. He also awakened Goemon’s demonic power when he was a child. He was given a chance to survive by Goemon, but he decided to commit suicide when he was defeated and closing the dimension bend. 4. Benkei and Yoshitsune were given the roll to monitor Amakusa by the leader of Shin Demon Corp. (真・妖魔軍団), they didn’t appear in the main story.
I knew it and someone may say "it's too obvious that was the classic Goemon", but it seems nobody ever looked out to start to notice it in first place, as this subseries ended in disaster
This is honestly a little TOO high quality lol, the further away shots look very smudged, but that's not your fault since that's how the upscaler worked. Either way, this is amazing to watch, it's so clean, and as a huge fan of this spinoff, I loved watching this. Just wish there was an English translation for the song. Are you planning on doing it for the intro for Bouken Jidai Katsugeki Goemon? That's one of my favorite intros in the series as well, and I would LOVE to see it in full HD.
If they didnt call this a Goemon game it would have been a great new IP but it ended up being hated because of the "How not to redesign beloved iconic characters"
well, that sounds like they never played it, I haven't checked out enough, but there's a mysterious character, seemingly the one who gives orders to New Goemon and that girl Ebisu, and this character looks like the classic Goemon, with the same hairstyle and mouth it's not like they discarded the classic Goemon
@@davebob4973 I think Mega Man had the advantage of being more well known worldwide, so people were able to adjust going from Classic to X more easily. Goemon on the other hand, only had very few of his games localized. Also, this isn't a spinoff, it's more like a 'next-generation' followup to the original (OG Goemon is in it, and the main characters are related in some way to the original heroes, so they're not re-designed versions of the characters people remembered from the n64 games, except for Sasuke maybe). Goemon Zero on the PS2 was more of a spinoff, and I hear that it wasn't received very well either.
@@AkiraStrix94 In Goemon Zero (which was not coincidentally a JP-only game, just like this one) had a cameo of New Age Goemon in a cage, IIRC. The game was not received well in Japan and the devs tried to make light of that.
There was only the one Goemon anime series - 1997's "Anime Ganbare Goemon". The footage for this video is from the PS1 title "Goemon Shin Sedai Shūmei!" (ゴエモン 新世代襲名!) which was a short-lived spin-off from the Goemon franchise.
It's real as in "Goemon: Shin Sedai Shūmei!" is a real PS1 game, and this cutscene plays at the start. This upsampled version will likely be the closest we'll get to "HD", as I doubt Konami will ever release a true HD re-release.

people hadn't played a 2d mystical ninja yet, as the n64 version of goemon's great adventure wasn't out yet, then it was and everyone saw that 2d was okay, (funny enough they didn't seem to notice that all SNES versions were 2d to begin with, it's only during town sections that you could move up, down, left and right), also they didn't like the new generation, way too used to the 4 characters we all know and love.

I'm interested in the game, but the few people who played it out of Japan thinks it's a bad game, same with the one with Super Impact
Absolutely they should release a collection of all games
It's now Mameda no Bakeru as a spiritual successor for some fans that Goemon looks abandoned.

I actually have ZERO idea on how AI upscalers work. Can you tell me what program is used to do it? I'm trying to created a new release of Ebichu.
Goemon's incarnation from goemon new age series made an guest appearance in ganbare goemon DS.
I never knew they made a ps1 game

They should have made an anime out of it. Good times~
