(spoiler) in op 1, screen interference after a close-up with a picnic hinted that not everything would be as rosy as it seems, although this is noticeable only after you already know what really happened
Chainsaw Man has a lot of movie references because I think it’s because Fujimoto loves cinema so much. And most of what we see are references to either other media Fujimoto likes or even actual scenes that happen on the anime, it’s pretty cool. I think the randomness fits Chainsaw Man and I really wouldn’t want it any other way.

You forgot the little opening variations after certain a episode passed, like the fifth opening of Naruto with 5 different variations (all fire) and also jjk OP 4 with the destroyed Shibuya from Sukuna's tomfoolery
Me personally, the best anime opening is Kagura bachi, the song was so catchy i sang it throughout my childhood. and that scene in the opening where it referenced the final fight and kagura bachi saying "It truly was, a kagura bachi"

for me, the one-piece Enies lobby opening was so cool yet so annoying looking back on it, it basically showed half of the stuff from Monster Point Chopper, to gear 2 and even hinted at ussop burning the flag

If I was in charge I would make everything random with maybe subtle nods instead of spoiling viewers or getting their hopes up.

Did anyone complain about that? Nope. Was the overall experience with the anime destroyed because of that? Nope.
