Hello Lovely, I have a frustrating experience. Not knowing where to begin or hitting a plateau can feel demoralizing and make it hard to hit the books and study like you know you should…Having friends from other cultures makes me more creative. In fresh ways about space and how people create their own world and environment. It is best way to connect between creative thinking and cross-cultural relationships.

Gamarjoba, Anna, thank you SO much for your kind words! I have not made much progress in the last few months to be quite honest, too many other things to do (and languages to maintain, I have to admit!) - but I'm still trying and I'm reading almost everyday some Georgian and having conversations with my tutors every now and then... So the project's still running and I have no intention to stop (and I just realised I said this in this video as well haha)

Please continue your video with the Georgian language. I am on a similar level like you, my husband is from Georgia and I have to improve my Geo language in 2020 as well because we will have a child soon :) I am grateful to have a mate in this process and I am very grateful for your advice as well. Keep going.

My goal for 2020 is to reach A2 in Estonian and B1 in Russian. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh super... ein neues Video von Dir. Hoffe es geht Dir wieder besser. In Österreich ging auch die 2. Grippewelle rum. Ich wünsche Dir viel Spaß und Vorankommen mit georgisch. Ich finde Deine Videos immer sehr motivierend und inspirierend. Ich hab als Goal mein kroatisch voranzubringen. Eigentlich wollte ich in 2020 mit französisch starten aber mein kroatisch braucht noch zuviel Aufmerksamkeit. Also mal sehen wie es bis zum Sommer oder Herbst dann aussieht. Alles Gute und ich freu mich auf Dein nächstes Video.
Vielen Dank Yvi! Es ist immer eine Freude, Deine netten Kommentare zu lesen. Tut mir leid, dass es diesmal so lange gedauert hat, bis ich antworte. Was sich alles im Laufe eines Monats geändert hat ist schon unglaublich, oder? Ich hoffe, dass es Dir trotz der schwierigen Situation welweit gut geht. Hoffentlich hast du auch Zeit und Lust gehabt, mit Deinem Kroatischen voranzukommen. Ich editiere gerade ein paar neue Videos aber ich habe so viel Arbeit, dass ich kaum dazu komme... Naja hoffentlich schaffe ich es bald :) Na dann bis zum nächsten Video!

Es ist interessant zu hören dass du auch in der bevorstehenden Zeit keine weite Ambitionen hast, denn ich auch. Die bevorstehende Zeit wird für mich Geduld sein, ich werde mich nur auf Deutsch und Slowenisch konzentrieren, bis ich zumindest ein stabiles Niveau in Slowenisch habe und kann bei Deutsch endlich den Schrägstrich zwischen B1/B2 loskriegen.
Man kann nicht alle Zeit neue Herausforderungen hinzufügen, ich genieße sehr mit meinen zwei Sprachen jetzt. 🇩🇪🇸🇮❤️👌

Yeah mantaining a language isn't easy and takes up a lot of time, I've notice though that it's also very easy to 'recover' what you might have forgotten expecially if you go over the material you originally used.

Turkish I highly recommend , it has more vowel harmony than Finnish everything flows like crazy, it also is way more agglutinative, it’s so amazing, I want to learn Finnish too, but Finnish seems more intimidating

I'm going to buy the beginners Georgian book you should in the previous video but do you have a specific grammar textbook too? If so, Which one? Thanks!
Hi Nicholas, thank you for your comment and wishes! I hope you're safe and happy, too. Good question... you know what? I've used the grammar at the end of Beginner's Georgian and I've asked my tutor(s) for explanations of grammar points that are not in that book, so I haven't chosen a proper grammar reference book yet. My book covers "only" 5 out of 10 verb tenses, so the remaining 5 have to be learnt from other sources. I may grab the book that Dr. Popkins showed me during my interview with him. Would you also like to learn albanian? It is also a very hard language cause it’s grammar and one of the oldest language. Anyway you are an inspiration to me because I also want to learn some languages and travelling a lot to use the languages. Keep going 😆👍🏻😄😁

Ik vraag me af, aangezien u Duits kan praten, kan u daardoor ook enigszins Nederlands verstaan?
Zeker doordat u in Brussel woont. En dus omringt bent met mensen die deze taal inheems spreken. (Ook al is deze Belgische versie van de taal overduidelijk meer beïnvloed door Frans)
Het doel dat ik gezet heb voor dit jaar is de Zweedse taal vrijwel vloeiend te kunnen beheersen zodra het voorbij is.

Hello Waterblonk, dank je for the comment, I loved this experiment! You are right, I understood about 90% of your message, but if it been an audio message, I would have probably gotten only a fraction of it. German helps enormously with written Dutch. All the best for your Swedish project!!
