    It's always nice to find a product that you can use on your details and tell a customer that they will be blown away with how good it is and they can tell by the confidence in your voice that they have found the right person to do the job. This product along with TLC 2 are a couple of those products that warrant that confidence in your results.

    Thanks for the review! How about applying another coat on part of the trim so we can see how much shine (black) has been "lost"? That would be a good test of how well it's holding up. I don't expect it to look like day one, but it would be interesting to see how well it's doing. :)

    • @PapaSmurf918Detail
      @PapaSmurf918Detail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man!! Hey that is a great idea! I haven't seen the truck in a while but I'll keep that In mind... had I applied it I'd have guessed it lost about 35% or its color. Which isn't bad. Appreciate you watching!!

  • @senkofam
    @senkofam 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Solution finish then that cera coat would probably do a amazing job. The solution finish will bring back the color permanently and that coating will protect it.

      Jeremy, I hear great things of solution finish. One day I'll definitely try it! As it is a dye, this ceratrim isn't. Which I know due us ideal but this stuff here is awesome. Easy to apply as well. Appreciate you watching!!

    I just use adam's polishes VRT and re-apply as needed .
    Are you familiar with Wolfgang car care products?
    I'm interested in the paint sealant and paste wax combo
    Generally speaking . You can almost always layer paste wax on top of paint sealant? ...

    I like the ceratrim n trim serum as nice quick hitters for my customers just getting a routine wash n sealant applications but for initial applications on more expensive packages that I offer I usually turn to Gtechniq C4 or tac systems seal. When dealing with really faded plastics than initially I'll use black pearl or Dupli color to get them as dark as possible again. Great video as always bro. I'll be posting videos soon.

    • @PapaSmurf918Detail
      @PapaSmurf918Detail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kim! Out if my experience with CeraTrim... it will start fading around 3 months. The Trim Cubes I have on my suburban are over 3 months and look like the day I applied. If your going to reapply CeraTrim every few months it's great! Trim cubes seem to surpass though indefinitely ✊

      How long after applying cera trim would you recommend before a wash the bottle doesn't say! Actually after watching numerous videos on this product nobody ever said. Just heard I let it cure 24-48 hours then they hit it with water. I cleaned all my plastic and windows rubber yesterday evening and I now will be applying cera trim. The truck needs washed too but can it be washed this evening after applying cera trim with little cure time would you recommend this or what?

    • @PapaSmurf918Detail
      @PapaSmurf918Detail  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd definitely give it at least 24hr to cure. Also, remember to let it dwell for at least 15 min depending on how hot it is, and then buff off any excess product 👌

    What year is this truck?? I ask because I did the same thing for my 2005 f 150. Griots 3 in 1 ceramic wax spray and also cera trim. I also tried car pro Perl diluted per the recommendations for exterior plastic and there is no comparison to cera trim. Perl is streaky and does not last at all
    I wanted something bomb proof but also easy for my truck cuz I literally wash it maybe once a year....?

    • @PapaSmurf918Detail
      @PapaSmurf918Detail  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a 2014 I believe! And yeah i love Perl for tires 1:1 but doesn't last long on plastics and is nowhere near as hydrophobic if its even hydrophobic at all Haha. Cera Trim is sooo much better for plastics 👌👌 what you can do is restore your trim with Cera Trim.. and after a day you could top with a true coating to protect.. like Caroro Delux.. that's made for plastics. That will seal it up👌👌

      Out of both I'd say VRP takes the cake for tires in my opinion.. CeraTrim works much better and lasts longer on trim. It's to shiney for me on tires though. It doesn't work on tires though but I'd grap VRP all day for tires over CeraTrim.... VRP is like 1 product I like from CG.

    PapaSmurf, I bought it the last time when you recommended it. I am so glad. I agree it has faded, a bit. But to protect black is a tough job and for three months, well I'm impressed. I have decided to just reapply it at the 4-6 month point because it is so easy to apply and it just looks great and lasts............ Thanks again for the recommendation. I'm a happy camper.
    Full disclosure, I was bitching and moaning about the price until about a month ago when someone mentioned how good it still looked on the 323 I had treated. Can I use this to protect and restore the rubber trim on my truck?

    • @PapaSmurf918Detail
      @PapaSmurf918Detail  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure it's quite intended for rubber but I've seen people use it for that. There are rubber specific products I'd probably opt for over this.. although this stuff is great for plastics 👍

    Everytime I apply cera trim, do I have to strip and prep my trims all over again before re applying?

    • @PapaSmurf918Detail
      @PapaSmurf918Detail  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you don't need to strip it again. If your maintaining it often it should be OK to just coat over. If it's twords the end of its life then I'd prob just APC clean and start fresh

    not a great video. Wash the truck, have a before and after video under the same lighting conditions and then compare. This video wasn't worth the time to discuss
