    Great video! I also like those trim cubes! To answer your question… I wash my car twice weekly on average. I get a brand new car every three years. So during those three years, that means I wash my car 312 times. I realize how crazy I am hahahaah.

      Thanks brother! I knew you washed your cars a lot. 😂 I use to wash my cars as often as you do but over the years it’s been hard to find time to be able to do it once a week. I do have 5 vehicles to take care of also.

    I wash my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL every week. That’s 52 washes a year. So I’m at 208 washes right now. I’m very OCD(Obsessive Cleaning Disorder) lol about my Jeep being clean. I’m going to have to try the products on my Jeep. Great video and thanks for sharing it.

    I applied it to my wife’s car and some of mine. I love the pliability of the cube. It makes it so easy to fit in the tight spaces. And it’s easy to remove any excess on the paint or glass unlike some other products I’ve used that smear really bad. Now I’m just curious to see if it lasts 250 washes!

    Reminds me of a similar product Meguiars had wiht their ultimate black trim restorer. Had the same kind of small foam cubes in a pouch and they'd last about 3 months in Florida weather on vehicles where I applied it. I think that was discontinued though. I bought up the packs in local Advance Autos for $1 per pouch back then and used them up last year.

      I don’t think I ever saw those. There is a video from Dimitry’s Garage where he washes a panel 1450 times after applying this coating and it failed at the 1450 mark. Crazy!

    I’d like to see a side by side of just spraying something like Griots Ceramic 3 in 1 on a small sponge and applying in the same way. Or any other type of sealant safe for paint an plastic like Optimum Opti-coat or Hyper Seal. Especially since this is telling you to wipe off of paint. I’ve seen this product now on a few TH-cam videos but no one has yet, from what I’ve seen, done a side by side of something else we already use applied in a similar way.

      @@FABAutomotiveDetailing I do, but even then, with all due respect, I highly doubt anything currently on the market will last 5 years. I'd be thrilled if something would last 2 years. With that said, in 5 years new vehicle trim shouldn't degrade unless it's exposed to a very harsh outside climate in my opinion.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackHawkPSU Check out Dimitry’s Garage. He used this product on a trim piece and washed it 1450 times before it failed. Now take that as it may be because it wasn’t introduced to the elements but still that many washes is quite impressive.

    • @BlackHawkPSU
      @BlackHawkPSU 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FABAutomotiveDetailing So I found the video and watched it. I guess we have to take his word that he washed the panel 1450 times because we just don't know. How can we be sure? Also I don't believe we know what it was washed with... just soap, APC? With that said he points out that there are quality control issues with the product and it seems to have an issue bonding to certain plastics going by the video. To be fair other products have issues with different plastics as well. I'd also repeat what we have both said... being washed is different than being exposed to the elements (especially hot/cold weather) so who knows for sure how it will hold up. But, if it truly was washed 1450 times even with just soap that's very good. Personally, I'd use something proven, like Cerakote, but that's just me.
