Awesome video as always Coddiwomple Overland. Bill and Deb y'all always know how to show how beautiful and magnificent the places y'all visit really are.
Love your Heeler. Ours is mostly dark grey, black and brown. Easily the best dog I’ve ever had. So dang smart. Trying to get him over being a nervous travel companion though.
I look forward to hitting this eastern half of the Traverse. So many awesome spots to hit in Northern Georgia. Each one of your videos is like a future planning session for us :)
Matt again another masterpiece u are the best at turning things around with ur kind words and positive attitude sir. Thank you for your friendship and support!
@@CoddiwompleOverland we also love your videos but this comment was meant for Simply Must Go’s last upload that was mistakenly taken down and somehow YT moved it to your video 🤷♂️
Looking at taking our family vacation in the blue ridge mountains this fall. Would love to hit some of the traverse while down there. Thanks for the video to help me plan.
Amazing video, I've been to some places you've been following your videos, but could you help me with the coordinates of a primitive place? I'm going from Nashville to Georgia Traverse and I arrive at night to explore the next day, thanks!!!
Nice video I really enjoyed it. It looks to be pretty tame compared to a lot of other overlanding trails. Can I do it in a stock F-150 4x4 with AT tires?
Just FYI that's jacks river. It's not conasauga river until after it joins near the snorkeling hole and that water fall near the river is private property and I have personally witnessed the owner having nails in boards hiding in the mud holes trying to keep people our of there.
I live in Ga and just found out about these forestry trails. Looks like a lot of fun. Great video. I have a stock Chevy Silverado z-71. Do you think I’d have any problems with it? Are there decent access to towns along the way for gas, or do you think I need to bring a can or two? Thanks
Thanks for sharing the trip. We just added The Traverse to our list as we venture out of the KY/OH area. Two questions. We have friends that have a stock 4Runner and based on this video, the Eastern route looks like one that they could easily traverse through. Is that accurate? 2: Were the spots yall camped all dispersed, or were they pay spots?
A stock 4Runner will have no problems at all on any part of the Traverse. All of the spots that we camped were dispersed. There are dozens of dispersed sites in that area
Awesome video would love to do this trip, I noticed a familiar sound on your mojave with the 2.5s shocks in action. Any remedy to it mine make the same noise in the rear.
Great video, I see you had the skinny guy on in this video. I watched your video about the pros and cons of the camper. We are in the process of picking one up for our gladiator and wanted to ask you, we are more or less weekend worrier campers, maybe go out 5-7 days at a time a couple times a year, would this camper be good for that purpose? Thank you for your help with this
@@CoddiwompleOverland one last question, was the tent quality good? Thank you for the information, we are wanting to everything in line before we pull the trigger.
ive been working up north of Atlanta, and driving my jeep up there so that on the weekends I can explore, beautiful country! What canopy with tent is that? I have a smartcap with tuff stuff alpha on my gladiator but want something a little lower profile

Another great video. Can you shed some light on the specs related to the tires and wheels between the two JT’s please? It appears the Grey JT is running less backspacing and / or a slightly narrower tire.
You guys always deliver great content. No BS, just great video of the trails. My favorite overlanding channel on TH-cam. Keep up the good work!

It was a blast! See you all at MOORE.
Very nice episode. Some of your best editing I think.

Loved seeing New Hampshire syrup in this video (my home state). If you need more, let me know. Love your channel. Keep it up. 🙂

I headed that way tomorrow.
Cool! Safe travels.

Excellent video! Like it when Ms. Deb shows her culinary skills. Haven't been in Georgia too often, just on the "I". Thanks guys!

Looking forward to doing this later this year. Thinking October after we get back from Moab.

At 1951, can you advise where on the trail this was located. We are planning a trip and I would love to see this giant dragon egg. 😊😊
I'm not sure right off hand. I would have to go back and look at the map.
We're about to hit the trail tomorrow and go west to east as well. Can't wait to see what the trail has on store!
Awesome! Have fun.
Never visited Georgia before, but from what I just saw, doing it via 4x4 is a great option. Very cool video.

He should post no trespassing signs. Otherwise that is highly illegal.
Agree.
Excellent drone flying. How do you not hit limbs? Is the obstacle avoidance that good? Which drone do you have? Nice video.
I fly the DJI Avata in the woods, It does not have obstacle avoidance. And the DJI Mavic (has avoidance) for the more open cinematic shots.

With the serious lack of storage, I would not recommend it for trips of that length of time

I wish these trails had harder wheeling. You can basically do these trails in a Prius.
👍
Aren't they considered overlanding trails though?
Yes

My GPS took my class c on an 11 mile short cut over a Virginia mountain on a 1 lane gravel road and if I'd met anyone there was no place to pull off.
The roads are narrow.
Is there any bad sports that a stock suv would bottom out mine is 8.3 ground clearance?
It's been over a year since we have been there. The only place I can think of is Charlie's Creek.
Is the Traverse safe to do alone (me wife and dog) ? Many hard obstacles? Looking to do some of it soon.
Also what part of the traverse is this?
Safe for everyone. What are you driving
