Just an idea guys. If you squeeze the slider channel a bit tighter, it’ll keep the glass from sliding. You van use a piece of angle iron on the inside and a 2x4 on the outside. Using vice grips.the 2x4 is thick enough that the only part that will bend, will be the inside channel.
I don't think Brad has been in a place he doesn't absolutely love. That's part of the reason I love his channel though. Always humble, always positive. Go Brad, from a native San Diegan
I agree Brad sometimes its not a about the destination, but just about making those amazing memories!!!! " A family that plays together stays together " Great video Brad.
Hey Brad & Son, just wanted to say what a great job your doing. I recently lost my father and this episode really hit home! You never know, what you put out in life, how it will effect someone else. I’m sure you know these moments together is what it’s all about. Even if it’s just tinkering in the garage. Keep on trucken. 🤙🏼
Great father son time! It's awesome to get out there and spend time together. Ohh and just a thought for Jordan, i use my jeep roll bar, like he did, as one of my hammock tie up points to get away from ants and other crawlers if they are in the area, figured next time he could use both jeeps as tie points if bugs are an issue and it saves a little wear on the trees. Love the channel, keep it coming!
Been on a bunch of trips like that when I lived in CA. There are so many trips you can take in a stock vehicle. I've been all through NF and BLM land on a stock '86 and '89 Hi-Lux Xtra cab ' '86 Suburban, '79 Bronco, and '84 F250 (4" lift). Don't let the thought of having to have even a mild lift prevent you from enjoying some of the best camping you'll ever experience. Brad, you're son is a spitting image of you. That you can 'wheel w/ him is such a blessing. Those are the best of days for sure.
Love it!!!! My son Tyler and I spent a long weekend exploring the Linville Gorge Wilderness area here in North Carolina last week. It was the first time we had been wheeling and camping together since he became an adult. Something very special about time with our sons in nature. I'm sure we forgot a few things too. But gosh, it was fun. My son has grown into a great and fun camping buddy.
The best part about this video is you can really tell that you are truly having an amazing time with your son. I go camping with my dad and I know he soaks it all in, just an amazing father son time.
I tell you something brad , the thing that i love most man is that you n youre son are together on this , for me is just a big proud to see you both together, god bless you always man wao 🙏🖐
Currently have my 09 BMW M3 up for sale and will be buying a JK Rubicon because of your channel. Thank you very much for all the time spent to create quality content from one creator to another!
Watching your vids it seems like you know it all (in a good way) so I was pleased you left in the "you left your tools at home" part (mess up like the rest of us), honesty & being genuine is why I watch guys like you!!!
Imagine helping your dad discover a way to share one of his passions that's become profitable as a bonus, and knowing you're the favorite son. Looking forward to more adventures.
Dad and Son overlanding together, with dialed Jeeps for each of you. PRICELESS!! What can you ask for more? (Except forgetting food and tools) haha I wish I will be able to do overlanding with my kids (6,5,3 years old) sometime soon, with little subaru. Because it is not a jeep, so I won't be able to explore those spectacular remote areas you have introduced, I will definitely go somewhre to feel that freedom with nature. Your videos are always great motivation!!!! Brad, thanks for another great video! Your high quality video with wonderful editing skill is always satisfied. I figure that you are very organized person. Your videos, your rigs, even your garage is neat and clean.
Hey Brad, love the channel man i been following your channel for a while now, I used to owned a 1995 Jeep Wrangler and just before i move to Florida 10 years ago i sold the Jeep which i regret afterwards. But as I was watching your you tube videos it makes me want to get another Jeep again, so as of yesterday I was fortunately enough to own a new 2020 gladiator rubicon. Now I am in the process of ordering some overland accessories. Thank you for the inspiration keep the videos coming.
Great video. Scenery was amazing. Glad to see the TJ out and on the trails. I'm a big TJ fan, have a 2002 which I've had modified, not for trails but for weekend fun and the beach. Very nice to see you cooking and adventuring with Jordan. Keep them coming.
I used to own TJ about 10 years ago, and currently not a jeep driver anymore, since then I switched to an amazing G wagon. But still enjoy your channel. Funny how i used to hate my 97 TJ half doors. But now that I see them in that red TJ, bring me memories of that TJ. I would get them back if i ever get another TJ.
Hey Brad, greetings from Austria in good old Europe, i really like your channel, the content and editig. Your channel and wayalife are really my favorites. It’s so nice to have a look on the other side of the world, maybe i‘m able to grab a Jeep Wrangler soon, so that my family and I can explore some interesting places here in Europe and also pimp the Jeep a little bit, inspired by you and your buddies. Keep the good stuff coming, stay safe and healthy!
Thanks Brad... Like always you make great videos, and I agree with you, been in a relaxing place like that and be available to share quality time with your son or family member is priceless...
I think it is the dream of many parents to be able to do this with their child at least twice a year. I congratulate you for that great example that you teach your child, good envy 👍
A Guacamole recipe to add to the burritos. Mash one avocado with a fork, add salt and black pepper to taste, a twist of lime, two pinches of garlic powder, one pinch of celery salt. Mix it all together and add to the burritos (or tacos) and enjoy!! Keep the videos coming, very enjoyable.
Man Brad, I can’t wait to do things like this with my 4YO son. Very inspiring, relaxing and motivational at the same time. What a grin to watch, as always. “Brad” and “TrailRecon” are common names in our household as my wife and kids have a ball with me, “ohhhh he’s watching BRAD”, “more TRAIL RECON, here we go!” Hahaha. Happy Independence weekend!
Thanks for sharing your adventure. How rewarding it must be for you to spend that time with your son; he looks to be a fine young man. Have him check out the Antirock sway bar from Rock Jock and ditch the disconnects. Happy 4th and thank you both for your service. Freedom is not free!!!
It’s awesome you get to do this with your son ... they won’t let my son more than an hour away from base... haven’t seen him in 6 months now ...thanks for the video
TrailRecon: Hey guys great vid, boy it looks dry there also, but beautiful area. Kudos on not harming the snake, I too spend a lot of time in the desert and when I run into a snake, I give it a lot of room, and let it go on..thanks for not harming the wild life, snake or not! Keep up the great vids...just watch your step.....!
The fresh piney air always makes feel human again definitely a refreshing mornings up there so peaceful and tranquil to be with nature bbgmemories thank you kindly sir for ur share of a good time wheeling in the sticks...
Incredible video Brad! My son (USMC) and I are planning a trip from NW Arkansas through AZ, UT and CO in May when his tour is over and this video got me so excited about what is in store for us!
Great video Brad! My son and grandson and I were up at the Horse Springs camp ground the weekend before the fourth of July. With the exception of the pesky nats, it was a great time. I own a 2005 Jeep TJ (Limited "willy's"), and a 1960's MBT Willy's Jeep trailer that I am building as a Adventure trailer, with a CVT RTT. I have done Heart Break Ridge before at the Big Bear Forest Fest (2012 or 2013. It was a great time. Happy Trails! Bruce
It happens to all of us…no tools, no lunch and the wrong tortilla shells!! But it still was a great time from the looks of it and nice to see the two of you out having fun!! Cheers.
Thank you for mentioning that non-Rubicon owners can handle that certain terrain without lockers. I feel sometimes watching all the videos I do that if you don't have a Rubicon most things are off-limits, but I'm a new Jeep owner so I still have much to learn.
Love TrailRecon! Your videos a perfect to watch, filming is great, and atmosphere is nice. You are the reason I sold my Ram 1 year ago next month and bought a 2017 Rubicon. I have now been on more adventures with that car than I ever thought I would. In addition, I have made new friends in the Jeep community. Thanks.
What a great video with you and your son. So cool to see both of yall out there hitting the trails. It was neat to see the difference in how yall set up camp. Keep these coming, thanks Brad. Stay safe!!
Awesome trip with your son! I still remember my camping and hunting trips with my old man, hope someday I'll be able to do it with my future family. Much love from Mexico, God bless you and your family and friends.
i did a weekend over night trip a couple weeks ago just to see how my renegade does in the dirt. checked out the Bodie ghost town and camped a bit north from there. quick trips are a lot of fun!
What an awesome overnighted for you both! As always thank you for the reminder to tread lightly and sharing the rattler. Keeping water in another container or a sealed box has helped me avoid leaks before.
Great video guys Jordan’s Jeep is looking sweet 👍👍 quality time of a father an son is priceless a lot of cool trails there an camp spots as always be safe
Your channel inspired me to start an overland build on my 4runner. Hope to be able to do stuff like this with my dad in the future! Outdoor adventures are so good for the mind!
I just found your channel a week ago. I tried to watch some Amazon Prime movies on overlanding, and you have me spoiled. I know my around Final Cut and Logic - your editing and mix are so far beyond those movies I tried to watch. The balance of engine and tire and trail noise and music and voice-over is perfect! Keep it up, and I hope to see you out there one day! I also appreciate the fact that you say 'gosh' and seem to just be really mellow and all about getting out there.
Dude, that little TJ Rubicon is doing great on that trail.! I have a 2004 TJ Rubicon that sits about the same height with 33's! I can't wait to take it out on the trail, especially after seeing this!
I watch this video twice just so that i could write down the roads to take, planing on his this trail next week. Thanks for the awesome video, great work like always, love your videos!
Great Video Brad. It's these types of video's that inspire me to get out there more. Let me take this time to say Thank You for your families service to our country. Happy Independence Day!
Brad ... the binding of the transfer case and or transmission is due to not only being unable to disconnect sway .. but the hi low shifting is from the linkage being attached to the body they make a body to transfer case mount .. hope that helps
Brad this is probably one of my favorite videos you have done in a while. I really like seeing you and your sons doing the father son thing in separate jeeps. It’s nice to see you guys sharing this stuff. You definitely inspire me and my wife with our channel.
The TJ looks awesome! Nice scenic vid. Totally agree with leaving the snake be, this is his (her?) home. We don't mess with them & they won't mess with us. 😜
The video guys. Really cool to see both rigs in action and in contrast each other's strengths and weaknesses. Really like the shot of the Rattlesnake. So, did you give a shout out to Brittney Williams of Lite Brite that you saw the Rattlesnake? She and her husband, Keven, just finished the 700+ mile Peace Trail across Arizona and she was complaining that she has yet to see a real Rattler in person. They had also given you, Brad, a couple of digs about you cutting a tire on a previous trip.
I was up in Big bear this weekend.. camped near the squeeze.. was going to hit heartbreak ridge.. but we did gold mountain instead.. keep up the great vids
Have you guys thought about the sway away system? It is a sway bar system that stays connected to the axles and releases in the arm. Exodus Jeeps has a video on their channel about it and how it works. When I get that far in my mods, I think that’s what I’ll be doing.
Between Trail Recon and one or two other channels, I have been bitten by the off road bug. Now that I am in a financial position to be able to afford a Jeep, I am just waiting to see the 21s before I order from factory or find a 20 from a dealer. Great channel and content! Love the Garage Talk vids! Keep’em coming!!!
Brad you talking to your son looks like you talking to you 30 years earlier! Def a dad twin!! Great channel great video! Thanks Trail Recon!
Nice radio selection! Country music and wheeling go hand in hand 😊
I don't think Brad has been in a place he doesn't absolutely love. That's part of the reason I love his channel though. Always humble, always positive. Go Brad, from a native San Diegan
The fact that your son is wearing a Dunder Mifflin sweater made me like this channel even more.
@@TrailRecon Thank you I hope to meet you in person in one of the SDJC trail run.
Great father son time! It's awesome to get out there and spend time together. That TJ is so smooth. Love the videos with your son. Great bonding time.
I'm looking forward to having moments like this with my kids.
The best part about this video is you can really tell that you are truly having an amazing time with your son. I go camping with my dad and I know he soaks it all in, just an amazing father son time.

Glad I'm not the only one that gets on the trail and discovers what didn't get packed...

Beautiful little adventure.
Father and son are out with 2 red jeeps. Nothing could be better. Finger crossed.

Brad ... the binding of the transfer case and or transmission is due to not only being unable to disconnect sway .. but the hi low shifting is from the linkage being attached to the body they make a body to transfer case mount .. hope that helps
Loved this father son adventure. Great trails, good food and no interruption from the phone. I really enjoyed this.
Brad this is probably one of my favorite videos you have done in a while. I really like seeing you and your sons doing the father son thing in separate jeeps. It’s nice to see you guys sharing this stuff. You definitely inspire me and my wife with our channel.
I appreciate that!
The TJ looks awesome! Nice scenic vid. Totally agree with leaving the snake be, this is his (her?) home. We don't mess with them & they won't mess with us. 😜
Awesome trip beautiful campsite. What a wonderful father and son time. I just noticed that you removed the wrap off the Gladiator.
Man I like your videos, thanks for taking us along for the trip guys!!!
Awsome video... Nothin wrong with a little wheeling and camping looked like a great time. Stay safe out there
The video guys. Really cool to see both rigs in action and in contrast each other's strengths and weaknesses. Really like the shot of the Rattlesnake. So cool to see you guys out having fun and spending time together it’s really awesome keep enjoying the videos of the bill on the TJ to
That trip is much akin to the type I do. Jordan and I have the same budget for camping gear.☺
Have you guys thought about the sway away system? It is a sway bar system that stays connected to the axles and releases in the arm. Exodus Jeeps has a video on their channel about it and how it works. When I get that far in my mods, I think that’s what I’ll be doing.
