The tip on adding text to a sketch is amazing I always run out of room. I have completed a couple of Michele’s online courses and they are fantastic. I am currently working on the flower painting course but will definitely be purchasing the drawing course. Peace, love and good karma to all.
You have such a smart accent you could say anything and sound like an expert! (That's a compliment) Thanks for so many excellent tips. I'd forgotten so many and learned so many new ones. The foot tip is great!
Another great tutorial, Michele, thank you. 😊 You are so generous with your knowledge, I would never think to put something underneath to create texture, I think it was my favourite.
Another great tutorial, so helpful , I wished I was able to retain all the content to help when i need a hand or a boat etc .Thank you . And love the nail varnish convo. Mark
I actually prefer q-tips for blending to blending stumps. Embossing nibs are AWESOME for creating detailed highlights. I was having a HORRIBLE time creating a sharp highlight on The vein of a horse’s neck when I was still new to drawing so I ended up just erasing the area, embossing the highlight, and it worked great. I went back over it with a white charcoal pencil just to fine tune it but I wouldn’t have ever gotten it to look right without embossing.
Apples, they appear to be easy to paint, but I have terrible difficulty with painting the dimpled top, where the stalk goes in. I really can't work out the lights and darks on the top of the apple, to give that illusion.
Always look at the real thing/photo but general rules are shadow goes where something recedes or dips or behind a light source. Taking a photo and making it black and white is a great way to better understand what's happening.

I love the idea of tracing paper. It blurs enough to easily see shapes and values.
I can never watch your tips too many times, Michele! They are all gold dust - thank you for all you do to help us to improve! :))
