  • The Gully Home is located at the end of a quiet, residential street in Chennai, overlooking the ocean. The house offers an uninterrupted view of the ocean while giving the residents the essential privacy and security.
    #MyGreatFacade is a series presented by Fenesta Windows in association with #Buildofy
    The project derives its name from the great room which is a multi-functional space like a simple vibrant street (gully) in a city. The triple height space has an open living-dining-kitchen layout that opens itself into a linear garden with a view of the sea beyond.
    The floor plates are staggered by 5 feet on either side of the triple-height great room, connected by an open metal dog legged staircase with each landing leading the user into a designated space.
    To download the full PDF eBook of The Gully Home - in Chennai with floor plans, materials used, construction techniques and so much more, please visit:
    www.buildofy.com/projects/gul...
    An open floor plan, sustainable and climate responsive materials, the use of filler slabs and strategic planning of the facade are some key highlights of the project. The architects walk through the house, giving an insight into various details, techniques, and materials and how they designed this house in a span of merely four months.

    • @anupdev5845
      @anupdev5845 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kota is pretty awesome. Your floor will be very cold even with tile, marble, granite or plain old concrete. You can't get warm floor on cold days unless you go for carpet or LVP soft flooring on top of these hard flooring options. So don't think too much about it. Go for Kota with eyes closed.

      There is no strategy. You can't do anything about another house obstructing your view right next to your plot. That is why if you are rich enough to afford such a house, you must also be rich enough to get the very first plot on the ocean front so that it becomes impossible to obstruct your view. If you aren't rich enough to afford that, then it's a foolish exercise to pour all your money into such an expensive house.

    What kind of wires are those which replace conventional grills? Wouldn't they easily be snapped with pliers?
    If they're not as simple to snap as they look, I'm very curious what material it is.

      Of course any plier will snap those wires easily. It's just a deterrent when windows are open, nothing more. It's definitely not a replacement for grills.

      Dont worry bro they will not be view the sea in few years from any area. They just built one storey as lower floor was blocked by trees. But when next plot owner will built home. This home will have just a road in north thats all😂😂😂😂

    • @dragonwukong9
      @dragonwukong9 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Justchill13548 well this my opinion. Not the clients opinion. You can do a much better job at building a smaller house with more clever usage of space. Building massive stairs that takes 1/ 5th of the space, or bedrooms looking empty is just lazy. There is no emphasis in the architecture that would bring the visitor to the sea itself. Simply constructing a glass facade and calling it an ocean view house is not accurate. It simply looks just like any other regular house to me with no special advantage. For your future inspiration check out houses built in Malaysia or Australia in a similar location.
