Timeless Materials add a Rustic Charm to this Luxury Home in Bengaluru (Home Tour).

  • A corner site at the end of a gated colony in Bengaluru presented an opportunity as well as a challenge to the architects, allowing the context to determine the home’s design. Semi-open spaces and large verandas creating a seamless outdoor-indoor transition added to a timeless end-result. One defined by functionality and warmth over the ‘image’ of luxury.
    #MyGreatFacade is a series presented by Fenesta Windows in association with #Buildofy
    Stacked across four levels, the layout is strategically designed to allow expansive views of the outdoors yet maintain privacy. The natural and earthy material palette allows natural light to play its part - a nostalgic client requirement surfacing from his time spent in IIM Ahmedabad. The lines are clean, and the volumes conceal services skilfully within its structure which adds to the spacious rooms of the home.
    To download the full PDF e-Book of F1 Manyata with floor plans, materials used, construction techniques and so much more, please visit:
    www.buildofy.com/projects/f1-...
    The laterite walls, the living room veranda, the diverse Jaisalmer flooring patterns, and the lounge are some key highlights of the project. The Principal Architect walks us through the home, insightfully breaking down the indoor-outdoor relationship, material palette as well as certain design decisions justifying the rustic vocabulary of F1 Manyata (named after the client’s love for Formula 1).

    and so many more because we use the site to find design ideas quickly. Which material is used on Flooring all over. I can see wooden teak flooring but rest of other place Laterite ? Client mentioned knee pain is gone, which was there in marble flooring. Interesting to know on each flooring materials

    • @appachu
      @appachu ปีที่แล้ว

      It's Jaisalmer and Kota in other places.
      He meant knee pain due to the cold marble floor. Wood, Jaisalmer and Kota are not cold to feel.

      Yes... especially in the morning between 8 and 11 as the inflow to the kaluve will be more.
      This is my observation as we have experienced it in K R Puram.
      But what a beautiful house.. soo earthy yet contemporary. nice work from the Architects

    • @appachu

      The smell hasn’t been an issue so far. We have planted fragrant creepers and shrubs along the kaluve, and around the house. The house is also centrally air conditioned.
