Miss him and his outstanding defending play. We have seen a lot of hard smashers but hardly seen anyone who could turn defending play style into art and suceeded like him.
He is the reason why I supported Korea in Sudirman Cup final because I miss him so much. Every Doubles player reminds me of him. Seriously I love him!!!

Lee Yongdea's specialty for me is his allround abilities as well as very good at spotting when his opponents switch positions. His net battles with Cai ended mostly in defeat but Cai's back court plays tends to be drops and slices, which players can punish if the shot quality is low. Whereas Lee have shown in matches played with Jun Jisong that he is extremely versatile, and excels at moving forward. This is great as the korean pairs, unlike their Chinese rivals dont need to switch so many time in a rally, in a lot of cases can rotate and attack effectively. Sad thing is Korea's next best doubles player was Yoo, and well, he just isnt on the same caliber as Lee...

nope, the korean government has given him permission not to join the military after he won the olympic :)
In Korea, if you win Olympic gold og Asian Games gold you do not have to go to the military
