      And how is that good? How many times has Musk decided to lower his prices?
      Tesla's selling process is nothing great. It simply relies on people believing rather than knowing.
      Just ask all those Tesla buyers who now realize they paid far too much for the illusion (or delusion) of "cutting out the middle man" saving them money.
      Of course you can easily duplicate that wonderful Tesla model at any dealership. Simply pay the asking price and ask no questions, exactly as you do with Tesla.

    • @areuhurtedwendy
      @areuhurtedwendy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Talking simply about cutting out the middle man. Avoiding dealer mark ups. Not doing business exactly like Tesla. Only using them as an example of how they sell directly to the public.
      I would like a system where everything was simpler and way cheeper, rather than dealing with shady sales people. But I'm sure some keyboard cowboy is going to take this response out of context and school me like the last two Tesla experts just did.

    • @jerrylundegaard2592
      @jerrylundegaard2592 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@areuhurtedwendy Keyboard Cowboy here with nothing out of context just some facts reflecting decades of finance knowledge.
      Buying a car can be very simple. Just walk into a dealership, ask for the price, pay the price, drive away happy. Just like with Tesla. Oh wait, with Tesla you rarely drive away, you must wait for delivery. Tesla was the crux of your original comment. So nothing is out of context.
      Even if they "cut out the middle man", the manufacturers will still need to have sales people, delivery people, shipping people, finance centers, and service centers. All this costs money.
      It is almost assured manufactures selling direct to the public would fall into the same sales games dealers play. Manufacturers would see profit in financing reserve, overpriced add-ons, and overpriced finance products.
      Eliminating dealers would not likely result in significantly lower prices as it would eliminate competition. As we have seen with Tesla and all Musk's price changes, when there is no competition sellers have no incentive to sell cheap.
      Manufacturers are businesses who want to earn as much profit as they can. There is no reason to assume any car manufacturer would have a business plan intended to minimize profit or benefit the car buyer.
      Cheap was the crux of your followup question. Again nothing out of context here.

    Nothing is selling because we are tapped out due to inflation. I only get a 3% raise each year and it’s not keeping up with inflation. I make fairly good money but I am paying down debt and only buying essentials. I don’t understand these manufacturers and dealers. Toyota as an example doesn’t build or stock any vehicles close to the base models. The base models typically have most of the features you want - power everything and cruise control. I don’t care about the electronics - just give me a Bluetooth connection to the radio. I agree with you - really liking Mazda price point and good quality. I know that the old Mazda 3s were really reliable and easily last 200k with minimal maintenance. If you want a Toyota product buy a new 4Runner or used everything else. The new engines are falling apart due to a design flaw. You would expect those clown asses to put that shxt through a brutal testing program. Let me test it and see how good it is!! 😂😂

      @@markholubetz R&D has slowed considerably for EVs due to their unpopularity, shops and mechanics are scratching their heads on repairs and high repair costs, performance is trash(often exaggerated by dealers), charging plans and charging availability is horrible, warranty repairs are lengthy and so on and on and on. These vehicles were overpriced often by as much as 50%, bringing them down 30% doesn’t mean they are discounted but IS a sign of where they are headed in the future. Buying an EV now, I feel is comparable to buying a product that is due to be discontinued or shelved for a later date 🤷‍♂️
