Home free is absolutely amazing. They don't do covers, they do upgrades. And that is one very, very deep rabbit hole my friend. But so entertaining and enjoyable. They do everything from "Do you hear what I hear" for Christmas, to Boyz to Men "End of the Road" and they never disappoint.

Caution: Home Free is highly addictive! Three of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. They sing (and write) everything from gospel to goofy. I loved the late Percy Sledge's 1966 original and I think Home Free does it more than justice. BTW, they don't have a lead singer - it depends on the song which one of them sings lead on it. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.
I left home for my children's dad....and they didn't speak to me for many years. Didn't come around until I was about to have my 3rd child. While Austin was singing this, his lady was in the studio....so he was looking at her when he was singing. They just got married.
Yes, Austin Brown nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is. Home Free is amazing! All five have different but great voices. It's from an old album of his and the video is just an image of his album cover, but it's my favorite version of the song. Tim has a 5 octave range. Austin so overflowed Michael Bolton's shoes, he needed them 4 sizes bigger. Bolton does some good music, but this was never a good song for him, IMHO. He always sounded strained and angry. Percy's version was a lament about how love treated a man, but Austin's is a song of joy. I'm sure that it helped that he had found the love of his life not too long before this was recorded. The background vocals and the percussion just lift it even higher.

Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.

Yes, Austin Brown nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.

Austin killed this song with his magnificent voice and Adam killed it with the beat. Austin is singing to his woman during recording. Guys were in their recording due to covid. Great harmonies. Percy Sledge made this song famous in 1966. You definitely must react to End Of The Road, Rob kills it. Home Free won the sing off in 2013 and have been moving on up every since. They even recorded songs with Kenny Roger's, Oak Ridge Boys and performed at the Grand Old Opry. Just returned from European total was canceled when covid pandemic occurred. They have even performed in Canada, and Australia.

Since you're a fan of Elvis & now Home Free, you might want to check out Tim Foust's (bass for Home Free) cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love". It's from an old album of his and the video is just an image of his album cover, but it's my favorite version of the song. Tim has a 5 octave range. He also has a few songs from his solo doo wop album on his YT channel that you might like.
As far as Home Free, I think you'll enjoy their covers of "End of the Road", "Unchained Melody", and "Man of Constant Sorrow".

Austin so overflowed Michael Bolton's shoes, he needed them 4 sizes bigger. Bolton does some good music, but this was never a good song for him, IMHO. He always sounded strained and angry. Percy's version was a lament about how love treated a man, but Austin's is a song of joy. I'm sure that it helped that he had found the love of his life not too long before this was recorded. The background vocals and the percussion just lift it even higher.

Great reaction the original song was written and composed by Calvin Lewis and Andrew Wright and first recorded by Percy Sledge in 1966. Many people have covered this song but Home Free upgrades it just keep checking out these guys not a loser in their entire catalog.
