Completely acapella. Lead singer on this is Austin Brown. Beard and glasses is Rob Lundquist. Deep, deep bass is short hair(long when he was younger) with a gray streak, Tim Foust. Adam Chance(Called Chance) is whatever he chooses. He can sing bass all the way to tenor. In older videos(Ring Of Fire) was Chris Rupp. He wore the cowboy hat and was one of the founding members of Home Free. He is now doing solo work. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp. He is indescribable. Check out his drum solo video. Some say he eats drum sets for breakfast.
All four of the vocalists rotate being the lead, depending on the song. All have incredible voices. Even the beat boxer has a lovely tenor, he just doesn't like to do solos!
Yes. Home Free is absolutely an A Capella Band. The lead singer for this song is named Austin Brown. The Basso Profundo is named: Tim Faust. Adam Rupp is the amazing beat-boxer with talents that are quite extra-ordinary! Rob Lundquist is another Tenor and Adam Chance also has a fantastic range. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy..... and thanks from all of us Home Fries!
Lead singer in this is Austin Brown (who has some amazing solo work on TH-cam as well-Unchained Melody). Tim Foust was the dragon breath on Ring if Fire. In this video he is wearing the blue shirt in background screens.
So Tim is the main bass guy (but he has a 5 octave range and can go high too). He has a documented range of G0 to A5, Folsum Prison Blues and Misty Mountains will mess you up for Tim's bass). Chance handles Bass if Tim is singing but really sings Baritone most of the time (he has a 4 octave range). Rob is the guy with the glasses and big bushy beard. He's a Tenor (though has range too and oh, yeah, he's the whistler in the group). Austin (who did the lead on this song) is a High Tenor (who can go fairly low too, at least 3 octave range) and finally we have the "Freak of Nature" who teethed on a cymbol from birth and is a walking Drum Kit Adam Rupp. He occasionally sings (and has a great voice) but really handles the beat boxing. He's a multiple time world champion at it. Watch is Drum Solo (think the video is like 12 minutes long) to get an example but it's there in almost everything. The Harmonica that isn't a harmonica in Man of Constant Sorrow, the record scratching in The Butts Remix (and that will mess you up just on principle). Enjoy your dive down the rabbit hole
There are 2 Adams in the group. Adam Rupp - Human drum kit, Adam Chance - Baritone/Bass, Tim Foust - Dragon Bass (5 octaves), Rob Lundquist - Tenor Extraordinaire, Austin Brown - Amazing Tenor (Currently singing).
Even Adam the beatboxer can sing, and has a georgeous tenor voice. He never takes the lead, but he has a little solo in "How great thou art". It's angelic. I'm happy that you fell hard on HF, you are adorable (sorry to say, but you are), with your entusiasme. Hope that you keep on reacting to their videos/ songs.
100% acapella that's just how good They are. Especially their beat boxer Adam Rupp. But they're all insane and all can sing. They can literally cover whatever song they want that's how diverse of a group they are.
All their voices, no instruments. Austin Brown was the lead on this one, he has his own channel with lots of songs on it. They all take turns as lead or share it. Love your reactions, try Helplessly Hoping one of my favourites x
If you'd like to hear the true beauty of their voices (no beatboxing), listen to How Great Thou Art, O Holy Night, Helplessly Hoping and Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens featuring Home Free. Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust is Peter and Tim, only, with no instrumentals.
There's only one mistake you can make with HF -- listening to "Mayday" too soon. In order to maximize your enjoyment of this excellent cover, you need to know the guys and their voices. Usually, that takes at least 6 "regular" songs. (You'll understand when you get there.) Fortunately, there are MANY other great choices! Note that there was a lineup change in 2016 when Chris Rupp left and Adam Chance (they call him "Chance" to avoid confusion with Adam Rupp, the beat boxer) joined the group.
To lay the "Drum-Debate" to rest, just check out "adam rupp drum solo" and you'll know that there is not a drum in sight, just an Adam Rupp and his incredible Voicebox xD Also, the "soloist" in this song is Austin Brown, resident heart throb of Home Free, while the "Dragon", as you named him, is Tim Foust, the guy in the background with the silver streak
React to the fan produced video at one of the concerts for home free that Adam Rupp (their beatboxer) does his thing at their concerts. He gets a solo time each concert, and he is amazing...once again it's called "Adam Rupp Drum solo" you'll be amazed...he earned his nickname "Freak of Nature". They all get turns at being lead except Adam Rupp...Austin does tend to get more leads but you can hear them all in one sone they recvently did, a cover of *American Pie* , with the songs original writer & singer, Don McLean on it's 50th aniversary. It's one of the most iconic songs of the 20th century !
Great reaction! NO instruments. New sub. There is only one song where they covered Born in the USA they used a guitar and they didn't hide it. To be honest I don't think there was enough meat in that song to avoid the guitar. Everything else is them. You are going to have such fun figuring these guys out. Each one is extremely talented and exceeds expectations.
I think you need to watch Adam Rupp doing his drum solo in fact maybe need to watch a few, so you can see the range of drum sounds and other crazy sounds he can make. Also as I'm sure others have now said they actually share out the leads for various songs. The main base can cover 5 octaves. All of them have their own unique sound and strengths and they all get their own opportunity to shine, including the human drum kit. He just doesn't sing so often. Honestly I grew up seeing a lot of boy bands come and go, and as good as any of them were, there was usually one or two that you were pretty sure were seen as the main singers so I get your comments. But that is just simply not the case here and honestly that's one of the main reasons these guys are the best singing group I've ever heard. Honestly the more you watch and as you see them each take the lead I think you'll see what I mean.
They dont have a fixed leadsinger , it depends on who voice fits the song best , when/if you check out Adam Rupp drumsolo please do one from 2018 he does an amazing MJ impression
Adam Rupp’s drum solo from 6-16-2018 in Kearney , MO is an excellent one. Tim and Austin go a little bubble happy while Adam is doing his solo😁 (Some others have more likes, but they’ve been posted longer.)
That beautiful voice belongs to one...Austin Brown great reaction Adam! new subscriber here damn boy you're good at this keep enjoying and exploring...I can safely promise you that with the incredible, and I mean damn incredible range of music styles and genre's Home Free performs you will NEVER EVER be anything but amazed and full of joy that our human race can create things as beautiful as the art these boys produce!!! enjoy
ALL of them, except for the beatboxer, take the lead depending on the song. Most of the time, they all sing different parts of the song. Like in their song, the " Butts Medley", they all sing solo parts and it's crazy good...and funny. I highly suggest " My Church", "Hillbilly Bone"(The Bass guy, Tim Foust, is lead on both of those) and "End of the Road".. There are so so many others. Love your reaction and on a side note, Love your accent! I'm like "YES!!" LOL😁😉😍
Yes they ARE amazing! So many great songs (both originals and covers) that it is hard to choose. You can literally pick any of their songs and be blown away with their talent and/or their humor! Welcome to the home free rabbit hole! 🐰😀🔥
Austin Brown is the high tenor singing lead in this song but this group has four people that can sing tenor and two bases. One hell of a beatboxer but others can do a little beatboxing too.
Austin can play the harmonica too. When they do Man of Constant Sorrow in a concert Austin and Adam do harmonica together. It's really cool. They keep upping their game with each new song. 🙂🙂🙂
Try “county roads” to get a good feel for all of the different voices/talents in this group. It wouldn’t be what it is without each persons unique contribution. Personally, I think Adam chance always gets underrated.
Adam Rupp had drum solo videos they do during live concerts…the one in a red flannel is older and he has only gotten better over the years….check out “Man of constant Sorrow”, “Do you hear what I hear”, “End of the road”…for humor check out the Butts Medley, or all about that Bass….for deep bass, Misty Mountains or Hillbilly Bone.
Here's their current line-up; Tim Foust-Bass, 7-octave range; Adam Rupp, vocal percussions/beatboxer-swallowed a drum kit, co-founder; Adam Chance, bass baritone, they call him Chance to avoid confusion with Adam Rupp, Chance sang bass with his previous band...Street Corner Symphony in Season 2 of the Sing-Off, they were runner-up; Rob Lundquist; harmonic tenor; Austin Brown, lead tenor. [Chris Rupp; former member and co-founder, went solo, replaced by Adam Chance.] Check out their Big Butt Remix.
I did enjoy your reaction....I love watching you enjoy this group as much as us Home Fries (fans name) do! I just subbed for more Home Free!check out their covers of Catch Me If You Can ..In The Blood and Some Girls Do....then you will see each of the other 3 guys take the lead!
First time viewer when I saw Home Free. You are fun to watch and I loved your reaction to our 5 guys. You have me subing right away when you said you were reacting to more Home Free, they are crazy talented and so much fun to watch and listen to. There are just so many great songs I dont know what to request, how about "Take Me Home Country Roads" and then "How Great Thou Art".
Adam - 3rd Adam! Love your hockey reactions. I’m a huge hockey fan. I discovered Home Free during the pandemic and they are amazing. They won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 a year after Pentatonix (another famous a cappella band). Their beatboxer, Adam Rupp has a video called Adam Rupp Drum Solo on youtube you should see. He’s a freak of nature and does drums, harmonica, castanets, bugs, all kinds of sounds with his mouth. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low (he’s broken speakers) and sing in the tenor range too. Try Tim Foust with Peter Hollens doing Misty Mountains (from the movie the Hobbit) to hear lots of bass. But listen to more Home Free. I subscribed!!! I should have subscribed more from the hockey vids too. Sorry about that. Love your reaction.
With the exception of Adam, the rest of the members take the lead wherever the arrangement is served best. Chance does the bass line when Tim is leading, and he and Tim both have amazing ranges. And they are completely acapella.
The man with the deep voice is Tim Foust (bass); the beatboxer is Adam Rupp (he's so far won two world championships in beatboxing); the lead singer on this is Austin Brown (high tenor); the man with the beard is glasses is the lead tenor - Rob Lundquist; the other bass/baritone is Adam Chance. They change lead singers all the time depending on the song so there isn't really one lead singer.
They all have incedible rill plsying voices. In this video, they let this man takevlead. During covid, they recorded individually (quite a feat). He was singing to his fiancee standing next to the camers man. It comes scross as a true love song for the ages.
Deep voice is Tim, Lead singer on this song is Austin, Beatboxer is Adam, Beard and Glasses is Rob, and Beard Baritone is Adam Chance Called only Chance.
They are completely acapella. All sounds are made with their mouths, hands, and feet. The beatboxer or the sound machine person is Adam. He makes all kinds of sounds, example, harmonica, castanets, and others. The person sing is Austin and he is the high tenor of the group. For this song he brought his girlfriend for inspiration and is singing to her. Fans of Home Free are called Home Fries.
The lead singer here is Austin Brown. The guy with the beard is Rob Lundquist, also a tenor, Tim Foust is the bass singer (A five octave range, from A1 to A5!!) Adam Chance is a baryton who can also go both high and low and finally the living drum kit, Adam Rupp. Check out their version of "Man of constant sorrow" and "In the blood" to hear them all sing!
Just cruising through your Home Free exploration - this is an early one - and you’ve already upgraded to headsets over ear buds. Great reaction. Bravo! There’s not really a ‘main’ singer…seems like they select the best one for the tune - and share the solos. It’s a NO-EGO environment.
In this genre there are three major groups.....Home Free....PTX and Voice Play....you have three rabbit holes in which all of them are deep deep deep....enough songs for you to listen to for a thousand hours....Talk about Eargasms!!!!....If you decide to stay on this journey or branch out to the other two I can honestly say that you are in for a treat whoever you listen to...
I've enjoyed your Home Free reactions. Love these guys!. If you like bass, check out their Sea Shanty Medley. Even if you don't like Sea Shanties, you'll enjoy it. Promise. Bonus: Adam adds yet another instrument to his "human drum kit".
I just love you so much. You make my day every time I watch a reaction from you and especially on these Home Free videos!!! Thank you.....thank you....thank you!!!
The deep voice guy (Tim) is the guy who is doing the dum dee dum bass guitar sounds. The one who is leading in this song is their 1st tenor named austin. But after a few Songs you get to hear everyone sing.
All acapella! They have a 2 time world champion beatboxer, Adam Rupp, one of the original founder, they can all beatbox, they can all sing tenor, this is Austin Brown, Rob is the gentleman with the glasses and beard, super low bass is Tim Foust , backing him up is baritone Adam Chance, aka Chance.
Adam Rupp is the Beat Boxer who also has a nice tenor voice which you can hear on "How Great Thou Art" video (highly recommended). The lead tenor is Austin Brown & the bass singer you were referencing earlier is Tim Foust. Adam Chance has an amazing 5 octave range,
Many of the songs such as this were done with the guys scattered all across the nation during the pandemic. Their songs are great. PS the guy with the blue shirt is the bass Tim Faust covers 5 octaves. Songs like Snow Globe which he wrote has him singing tenor.
100% acapella! It has been rumored that Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) eats drum kits for breakfast. His bandmates sometimes refer to him as "Freak of Nature". Austin Brown (high tenor) is the lead vocal here. This was shot this past February when we were still in quarantine. That's why they're all separate. Tim, the dragon bass, is the guy in the blue shirt - he cut his hair during the pandemic. They released a ton of content during the quarantine.
Love your videos! Home Free is Acapella! I got to see them in person in July! They are even better on stage, phenomenal performance! They talked to us afterwards and they are hilarious and so humble!! Please see them if you ever get the chance!!!
Adam Rupp, the beatboxer/human percussion machine, simply is not human. Listen to "Man of Constant Sorrow" to hear him play the harmonica....with no harmonica. He also has a live concert "drum solo" that will blow your mind. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! Buckle up - it's an awesomely crazy ride!!
You should react to a live version they did of Dolly Parton's 9-5. They can all beat box. Want harmony? Helplessly Hoping. Best Xmas song ever is their version of Do You Hear What I Hear, lots of bass. The best boxer Adam Rupp arranged it. Also there's videos of Adam Rupp doing beat boxing solos
Hi Adam! It's great seeing you react to Home Free and figuring out of they are 💯% acapella or not! Hey, welcome to the Home Free gang...Home Fries! Loving your reaction videos!
No, this guy isn't the bassist or lead singer his name is Austin Brown the bassist is Tim Foust They all take turns doing the lead. These guys are flipping amazing
Hey guys, I stream on Twitch where I will be reacting live to music! come follow! www.twitch.tv/adamcouser
You should react to hone free elvira to see there voices properly and it shows how deep he can truly get and great video keep them up please
austin brown is high tenor , rob lunquist is tenor and adam chance is tenor / bass and tim foust is bass and adam rupp is beatboxer
Adam Chance is whatever he chooses. Perfectly sums him up!
Practically, Chance and Adam are the most versatile. I was leery who would replace Chris until I head Chance. It was a solid step.
The Home Fries (fan name) will come in mass numbers when they see your enthusiasm for the group.
All four of the vocalists rotate being the lead, depending on the song. All have incredible voices. Even the beat boxer has a lovely tenor, he just doesn't like to do solos!
Which song does he sing in? I was wondering if he did.
@@heatherlea6825 ... he sings the 'It is Well' in the middle of How Great Thou Art.
No drums, just a world class vocal percussionist, who has won international competitions.
Not true. But, he if he did enter a competition, he would probably do pretty good
"Man of Constant Sorrow" is required listening for Home Free
Tim *FOUST.
Lead singer in this is Austin Brown (who has some amazing solo work on TH-cam as well-Unchained Melody). Tim Foust was the dragon breath on Ring if Fire. In this video he is wearing the blue shirt in background screens.
I LOVE these guys!
You gotta do "Man of constant sorrow". The instrument sounds will blow you away.

Haha! Welcome to the Home Fries!
We all do❣️
Even Adam the beatboxer can sing, and has a georgeous tenor voice.
And they can all beat box to a certain extent. In a live version of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, they all beat box.
All their voices, no instruments. Austin Brown was the lead on this one, he has his own channel with lots of songs on it. They all take turns as lead or share it. Love your reactions, try Helplessly Hoping one of my favourites x

There cover of “take me home country roads” is excelllent
yes NO Instruments its all vocals...Adam is an amazing beatboxer...you should check Man of Constant Sorrow cover...amazing!
Thank you for doing Home Free-Sing Off season 4 winners and the best all country acapella band in the land!
Would love to see your reaction to their cover of Take Me Home, Country Roads... it's awesome! Great reaction!
I think you need to watch Adam Rupp doing his drum solo in fact maybe need to watch a few, so you can see the range of drum sounds and other crazy sounds he can make.
That beautiful voice belongs to one...Austin Brown great reaction Adam! new subscriber here damn boy you're good at this keep enjoying and exploring...I can safely promise you that with the incredible, and I mean damn incredible range of music styles and genre's Home Free performs you will NEVER EVER be anything but amazed and full of joy that our human race can create things as beautiful as the art these boys produce!!! enjoy
Oh yes! You got it totally right!
ALL of them, except for the beatboxer, take the lead depending on the song. Most of the time, they all sing different parts of the song. Like in their song, the " Butts Medley", they all sing solo parts and it's crazy good...and funny. All 4 singers also do bits of the beatbox

Check out Adam Rupp's "Drum Solo" video. It showcases his amazing encyclopedia of sounds.
They are completely acapella and all 5 sing. They are just as amazing in person.
Try “county roads” to get a good feel for all of the different voices/talents in this group. It wouldn’t be what it is without each persons unique contribution. Personally, I think Adam chance always gets underrated.
Ditto, I love them all! Adam Chance is awesome along with Rib!
You should hear Adam do his harmonica in "Man of Constant Sorrow". He is an outrageously good beat boxer.
Glad you found Home Free.. They are incredible on every song they sing..
I did enjoy your reaction....I love watching you enjoy this group as much as us Home Fries (fans name) do! I just subbed for more Home Free!check out their covers of Catch Me If You Can ..In The Blood and Some Girls Do....then you will see each of the other 3 guys take the lead!
Great reaction looking forward to more… anything is good honestly… everything home free does is solid gold.
First time viewer when I saw Home Free. You are fun to watch and I loved your reaction to our 5 guys. There are just so many great songs I dont know what to request, how about "Take Me Home Country Roads" and then "How Great Thou Art".
Thanks Terri!
This song gave me chills from the beginning they are nothing but a capella
This was one of the videos they put out during quarantine. They kept us going, dropping new videos every couple of weeks.
If you're still skeptical, listen to Adam Rupps drum solo. He is the drums. Everything is coming from their vocals
Enjoying going down the Home Free rabbithole with you. Its so fun to watch your introduction to our favorite guys.
Yes totally their voices!
That drum is the amazing beat box talent of Adam Rupp.
Two of the group Tim and Adam Chance have a 5 octave range. Just ridiculous talent in this group of 5 ❤
They all have incedible rill plsying voices.
The base has a 5 octave range and the beat over has 3 world championships. They are incredible!
They ARE 100% a cappela!!! Just sensational!!!!! xx
100% a Capella, 100% fantastic & 100% wonderful human beings 🥰
A Capella Group of another level ! Beat boxer does a HARMONICA you will swear is REAL ! God bless and keep playing them !! GBjj
They are all the lead singers. Keep watching their videos. ❤
Adam, now do their Boys to Men cover of End of the Road and here Rob sing
You have to watch “working 9 to 5” the live edition for all of them beatboxing
I've enjoyed your Home Free reactions. Love these guys!. If you like bass, check out their Sea Shanty Medley. Even if you don't like Sea Shanties, you'll enjoy it. Promise. Bonus: Adam adds yet another instrument to his "human drum kit".
All vocals, drum included
Their is a group called voiceplay and they are 100% acapella too and they are amazing their cover of we’re good is amazing
I just love you so much. You make my day every time I watch a reaction from you and especially on these Home Free videos!!! Thank you.....thank you....thank you!!!
NO INSTRUMENTS. PURE TALENT.
The deep voice guy (Tim) is the guy who is doing the dum dee dum bass guitar sounds. The one who is leading in this song is their 1st tenor named austin. But after a few Songs you get to hear everyone sing.
Loving the reaction... Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole
I am a Home Fry and love your reactions and enthusiasm
Adam Chance has an amazing 5 octave range,
Wow! He makes it look so easy! Percy Sledge must be smiling down.
you can also check out Adam Rupp the beat boxer doing a "Drum Solo" live...he's awesome!
Many of the songs such as this were done with the guys scattered all across the nation during the pandemic. Their songs are great. PS the guy with the blue shirt is the bass Tim Faust covers 5 octaves. Songs like Snow Globe which he wrote has him singing tenor.
Great reaction! Sing Austin SING!
The drum sounds are all done my Adam Rupp
Darlin’. It’s all a Capella! Adam is a human drum kit! I think he swallowed it!
Loved your reaction to this and eager for more, new sub! Enjoy your journey down this amazing rabbit hole
Love your videos! Home Free is Acapella! I got to see them in person in July! They are even better on stage, phenomenal performance! They talked to us afterwards and they are hilarious and so humble!! Please see them if you ever get the chance!!!
Yesyesyesyesyes, they are.
Austin is called a lyric tenor. Rob is a dramatic tenor with a warmer tone.
Listen to Adam Rupert drum solo it will blow your mind
I love your reactions. You are so sincere and funny at the same time.
The deep bass is Tim Foust. He has a 5 octave range. Adam Chance is the baritone ,he has a 4 1/2 octave range.
Welcome to the Home Fries.....thats what they call us who enjoy Home Free.
Every word of this song is true.
Yes they are all Acapella😍
This was done during Covid. The only one in this studio is the lead singer, Austin Brown . The rest of theguys areeach in their own home studios.
The lead singer in this song is Austin Brown. He is a high tenor.
Tim Foust is the bass. He does have a dragon breath.
You gotta hear their rendition of Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" lol omg its hilarious :-)
New sub here. Loved your reaction. Home Fries (Home Free fans) will come out in droves now to watch your reactions. Can't wail for more!!
Welcome aboard!
Gr8 🎵 song.love your reaction. Thx for sharing ♥
Austin was incredible and on fire here !
I see a deep rabbit hole of home free and pentatonix coming up
You should do When You Walk In and Love Me Like That, both amazing songs from Home Free both originals.
