Well this makes sense! Anakin wanted to train in a fighting style in which he was hoping to defeat Darth Maul one day. So now knowing he had been somehow traumatized by Maul explains why he wanted a more offensive lightsaber style. While Obi-Wan decided to change to a more defensive fighting style.

@@maxccrowfeather3019 Doubtful 🤨! Though his midichlorian count was high and he was powerful in the Dark Side, Maul was only trained as a Sith Assassin. Not a true Sith Lord.
Plus psychologically Maul was a child. If he found himself in trouble he would run for help.
This story speaks volumes to Anakin’s unresolved trauma of losing parental figures. Fear of his mother being attacked by monsters, which came true in AOTC. Facing Maul someone who Anakin described in clone wars as ‘sinister’ and was the one who took Qui-Gon from him and Obi-Wan. Anakin just had too much baggaged to be dealt with and while Obi-Wan did the best he could at the time at this moment of his life he really was ill-equipped to give Anakin what he needed. In the end this fear was a demon Anakin could never truly overcome.
They should have left well enough alone and left Anakin alone.

I’m willing to bet this might be an upcoming Tales of the Jedi episode. I can easily see an episode where Ani constructs his first lightsaber.
I wonder what would've happened had Anakin told Obi-Wan that Maul was in his vision. Would that change anything?
