Well Tipper you turned me into a new person! I get so relaxed watching the show, but what I’m talking about is I’m a true blue couch potato, that is until I found Celebrating Appalachia. I made Justin Mitcalfs pickles, 12 quarts! I put up peaches, tomatoes, 10 quarts of each. My sister and I are going to make blueberry and strawberry preserves. My friends can’t get over the new me! I tell them I’m celebrating Appalachia!. My grandmother was a mail order bride from Murray, Kentucky. Do you know where that is? Anyway she married my grandpa after his wife died from a fever. Grandpa had 3 sons and they went on to have 5 more children, my dad being one of them. We went back to Murray one year for a family reunion, it was great and good eating too. Thank you Tipper!!!
Wow! Good for you & your family. Your family story is a great one!
You are so kind-thank you! I'm so glad you are getting joy from the videos and the putting up 😀 I have read about mail order brides 😀 Thank you for watching! We appreciate you!!
I just came to thank Tipper too, for inspiring me to make pepper jelly with the rest of the peepers in my garden!!!
@@beckerickson8034 Thank you! I sure hope you like it 😀

Thank y'all very much. My mom passed away yesterday. Watching y'all helps, like being with family. Thank y'all
I'm so sorry.
I'm so very sorry you lost her!! I will be praying for you and your family.
“Gosh that’s good” I believe Matt every time! Looks like y’all had a good time☺️
Thank you for watching 😀
Boy, that growing season sure went by fast.😊
Thank you for sharing this part of the garden Tipper. I really enjoy seeing how much Matt appreciates your cooking Tipper. ❤
Our pleasure!
He does really enjoy your cooking. My husband and my son really loved my cooking and I enjoyed making them happy. My cooking and Tipper's are very much alike. My ancestors were Scotch Irish. I think it's so lovely that these traditional recipes are still being carried on. Tipper please don't take this this wrong but Matt puts lots of salt on his food before he tastes it. MY husband did the same thing. I stopped putting salt while cooking. His BP started getting high. Now he is getting better. I Use sea ,salt or pink Himalayan salt . ❤ love the garden so much. So beautiful with the herbs and flowers mingled. Y'all work so hard and it shows. I am a popsicle fan. I love the peach ones. They are all good but I do love peach. ❤ I wish that I had some fig preserves and a hot biscuit now. Do you have a good fig preserve recipe??
My grandma had a little red butter bowl that she kept raw onions and radishes in for my grandpa. Every meal but breakfast he would eat them. ❤❤
My grandmother had a special bowl for Onions , radishes and hot peppers. They were so good with everything. Now I am a 66 yr old grandmother and I have always loved them. My grandchildren really enjoy them now. ❤
Love that 😀
My Mom did for my Dad too !!!!
Thanks for the wonderful end of summer video.❤ & Prayers. Give our best to Granny. Rhonda Lampe
Your meals nourish the body warms the soul and pleases the heart😊
Thank you 😊
I got some good laughs from this one. The weight at the bottom of the jar will be a fun memory find.I'm sure who ever gets to it first will laugh. The pepper jelly made my mouth water. You all are so wonderful. Glad you shared all your laughs with us.
That pepper jelly looks yummy. I think I'll have to make some this week. Thanks for a fun video, once again. It's so nice to watch you guys. Prayers for Granny and Katie and all of you. God bless us all and God bless America .
Wonderful when the ladies of the family get together sharing information of all sorts. GOD please continue to bless us with all of your goodness 🙏
That is such a cute thumbnail! Have a wonderful evening, Tipper & Fam.
Thank you 🤗
It really is!
Yay! A new video from The Pressleys! Time to settle in. 😊
Hope you enjoy!
I want you to know, that watching your channel reminds me of my childhood. My grandmother and her family came from farm stock and even though I grew up in Texas, a lot of the things you do on this channel, I watched my grandmother do growing up. Thank you for videos. I very much love them.
Thank you! So happy to remind you of those good memories 😀
I enjot the outakes almost as much as the harvesting lessons! 😂 Matt prit near danced when he tasted the pepper jelly, didnt he? Yall's videos made my day, thank you so much for sharing! 😊
😂
I’ve never grown okra. The flowers on them are beautiful. TeresaSue.
They are lovely 😊
Pepper jelly CANNOT be beat! Makes just about everything better. Thanks Tipper and Corie ☺️
Matt's happy little pepper jelly dance! 🤸🤸🤸 It ALL looks so good! 💚
Momma's cornbread plate again! Every time I see that plate I just smile and remember her! Thank you!
😀
I enjoyed this video so much. You are sharing with your daughters your knowledge in gardening, canning, and preservation. Those are priceless life skills. I especially love seeing how much they enjoy and appreciate your delicious country cooking. You are truly blessed.
Thank you so much!
Love how Corie helps you. I can't wait for my girls to be a whole lot older to enjoy moments like that. Right now it's more of standing over them so they don't cut themselves. Haha
Love the pepper jelly. Sounds so good with some cornbread. I think I need me some once the weather cools down here.
"Golly that's good" I believe him every time!! Busy Busy Busy day! Wonderful! Enjoyed the video as usual! Have a great week!
It's cool the way Mama Presley pronounces the word "down"
Love being in the kitchen with you! I always learn some new thank you 😊
You are so welcome!
Your bloopers are cute. Thank you for including those. Your family is so likeable and normal. Love it. It's 10pm and I have this crazy taste for corn bread and pepper jelly.
The pepper jelly must be so good on cornbread. We are having 70’s weather in Texas. Windows are open, air off. Looking forward to all the holidays watching you all. ❤️
Glad you got some cool air 😀
Love seeing your harvest and the pepper jelly mmmm! Got tickled at Matt making his supper out of it and cornbread 😅. Our garden didn’t fair so well this year, thinking of new approach necktie spring. Y’all have a great night. Prayers for Katie, Granny and the rest of you all. Love from Bama❤️ Lorri and Mark
Mr Matt’s reaction to the jelly would make a whole day’s cooking worth work.
😀
I don't know if you know about this but before frost if you take some of those peppers like cayenne and pull up the whole plant and hang it up side down in your greenhouse and you can dry the peppers in the greenhouse I have used this method sever times works great thanks your friend Bill Garden
Thank you Bill!
Glory be Tipper God certainly blessed y'all with a bounty of Harvest ❤❤❤
You all had a full day. Our garden is pretty much wrapped up. A few peppers left maybe and one watermelon if it makes it. The pepper jelly was Matt approved. It sure looks good. Yall have a blessed night.
I have to tell you Tipper I grew some Mississippi pink eye peas this year because you all said you loved them so much. Well I cooked them the other day and my goodness what I got of them were delicious. My 16 year old son ate just about the whole pot that I cooked! I put a small bowl of leftovers in the refrigerator for me to eat later and he got those too. I was so mad lol. I guess I'll be growing those again next year!
Wonderful! They are so good 😀
My husband likes the garlic out of pickles and peppers so much, I pickled him jars of just garlic. He was so happy!
I made pepper jelly, which is one of our all time favorites, from your recipe last week. It was by FAR the best pepper jelly we ever had!!! 👍🤗❤️
Great to hear!
I had a wonderful harvest of butternut squash last year, I would love to grow those other squash you grew. Beautiful harvest. Hugs from VA 🙏💜
Love how Matt goes on about how good it is!!!
That was so funny. I could tell right away she pushed it down. 😂😂❤
I had no idea okra plants & flowers are so beautiful!! Thank you Corie for the excellent camera work, & for always pausing on the lovely details.
I enjoyed watching you gather things from the garden but seeing that okra made me happy as it’s my favorite 😁 Matt’s happy dance for the pepper jelly was a true sign of how delicious it is. I always enjoy visiting with y’all and enjoy the outtakes as well.
I just love the outtakes and bloopers at the end. Ya'll are so much fun to watch. God bless ya'll!
Looks like Matt is enjoying it a lot !!! I like the recipes you give to us Tipper !!!
Loved the outtakes!😂 It is so good to hear all of you laughing! Made me smile!
I put my fall garden in four days ago. Broccoli; Brussels Sprouts; Collards; Both Purple and Red Romaine Lettuce . My summer garden had about played out except for my okra. I had a bumper crop of okra, bell pepper & strawberries this year!
That sounds great 😊
I find growing squashes so satisfying. They can be used in so many dishes and each one has a slightly different flavor. One that I really love is Blue Hubbard squash. I like to make soup out of the flesh in the Fall, and I store it in Mason jars for great winter meals with bacon or country ham.
I love to hear Tipper laugh! She is usually so serious!
I’m definitely going to try pepper jelly on cornbread. 😋 I enjoyed the outtakes. 😂
Glad you enjoyed 😀
WHEW! You All were Busy Today.. I'm Never had a PICKLED Pepper or the Pepper Jelly. Never Saw Purple Orka until this Year! Matt & Corie must have "Come Unfed", they weren't going to share Any Pepper Jelly with You Tipper. 😂 I loved the outakes (bloopers) you shared & the actual "weight " ordeal, & Olive in the background with Katie I FEEL like I've had My Daily Visit Now!! A little humor Sure does a Body Good.. Hope Granny is Doing Well. PRAYERS Continue... GOD BLESS AND LOVE TO ALL..
You had me cracking up with those out takes!!! Thanks for making me giggle right before going to bed. Tipper telling us that “this is a pepper” and Corie saying “Mama!” In the background. For some reason that just had me in tears, or fermenting weights, or Olive and Katie in the background. So funny. Glad I saved watching this one. Made my night.
😀 So glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for adding the out takes.
I really enjoy em.
Blessings to everybody.
Cora
Thank you Tipper for sharing. Your family is so special and your husband sure loves your cooking. That warms a wife’s heart.❤️
I love how you all keep it real. The videos are educational as well as entertaining. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Sounds like everyone had a great time today
You ladies are so cute fighting the fermenting weight! I was laughing right along with you ❤
Glad you enjoyed 😀
Did deer get into any garden items? They can do damage as they only take a bite out of each veggie, leaving them all ruined. I salute deer hunters as they keep the population thin so that they don’t get overpopulated. Thanks Matt.
They didn’t thank goodness 😀
Love the cutshaws !!!!!!
loved that ya'll kept the part with the mishap of the filling pepper jars, real life as it usually happens when workin' in the kitchen. i would imagine it's even harder to not mess up when you are talkin' and filming. oh my that pepper jelly I bet is amazing stuff. I am jealous of ya'll cushaw and pepper haul, LOL. Ever since I've been watching I've admired your vintage jars with lids Tipper, especially those gallon ones, and have been hankering for some of my own. They are so hard to find these days. This weekend there's a local estate auction that will some for sale, one is the gallon size with a metal lid that has I think it said Kraft Mayonnaise. Got my fingers crossed they don't go for a fortune. Prayers Granny continues to be well. Loved hearing her sing so beautifully with Paul on Bling Pig.
I like to make my cornbread into muffins. When I fill them with batter I put a spoonful of pepper jelly in the middle, then fill it up the rest of the way. Now it's hard to eat cornbread without that in the middle. Thanks
Your deck boards and porch area are clean and beautiful .💚
I appreciate your videos and respect the love in your family it is very special.
Thank you so much 😀
Thats a nice little harvest of squash.
Well done. 👍🙏
Hey Tipper & family, Thanks for sharing . Also for the cooking & persevering video. All our love to Granny she is in our prayers. Much love : from Rhonda Lampe
Haha, Ya'll had a good time I know! I love the Outtakes! Mmm, that pepper jelly looked so good! Ya'll bout starved me eating it. If your cornbread and Matt comes up missing, sneak in tha basement bc Matt will be down up in there eating it! Thank you all 3 for tha making if this video! Ohh, 5 if ya'll... I forgot tha 2 crashing up in the living room! Haha 😂😂 Love ya'll. God Bless. 🙏🙏❤❤

Wonderful! Thank you 😊
Hehe Matt was doing the happy dance!!!

Smiling here! Such a great family! 😊
Super day of harvest & preserving.

I absolutely love how appreciative Matt is of your cooking! It does my heart good to see how he respects all the hard work you do for your family.
Y’all work so hard and I love the bounty y’all are blessed with!! Would love a piece of your cornbread and pepper jelly!!! God bless and much love! 💕🤗🙏🏻
I love seeing your sweet little vintage canning funnel.
Your lavender Melmac bowl is so beautiful! I love sweet hot pickled okra … it would be gorgeous with your purple ones!
I good heavens tipper that looks really good Matt is the proof of that dont forget to take granny and Paul some .😊😊
We call pepper jelly chow chow. Here in central Missouri, there are many varieties of chow chow, some savory some sweet. Good on beans especially.
Everything looks fabulous! Lots of hard work went into all those veggies!
Yayyy preserving day in tippers kitchen
😀 Thank you for visiting with us!
I just so enjoy watching your videos...thank you so much for sharing ❤❤❤
You are so welcome 😀
I put up 6 half pints of Jalapeño Pepper Jelly today as well as 4 half pints of pickled peppers. That about wraps up my garden harvest for this year. Already looking forward and planning for what to grow next year!❤
Sounds great!
life isn't perfect and its fun to laugh at a mishap.Injoyed our visit. God Bless. Jean 💚&🙏's
Thank you Jean 😀
It must feel so good when Matt loves something you made. He is a sweet husband.
Y’all got a lot done in one day, those flowers on the okrie are beautiful 🤩 I’m sure I would love your pepper jelly…there’s a restaurant that serves red pepper jelly with their sweet potato fries (first time I had them, I wasn’t sure about that combo) but, it’s really delicious together, just dip them in that jelly…yummy…I’m sure I would like it on fresh cornbread, too!
Thanks for including the “bloopers” so we could giggle…loved it when you started laughing and couldn’t quit…lol…y’all have a great rest of the week ❤
Prayers for Granny/ all the family ❤
That sounds good! Thank you 😊
Planted collards hopefully will produce before to cold and saving my summer flower seeds for next year God willing.
I hope they do great for you 😀
Loved Matt's little happy dance. God's blessings are sooooo good.
For some reason, your Crenshaw reminds me of the movie The Body Snatchers. I think I would be sleeping with one eye open if I knew they were on the porch.
The squash are beautiful. I’ve never seen or tasted of a candy roaster, its beautiful. We buy butter nut all the time and alway have roasted over the holidays. I also have never had the red okra only the green and the entire family loves it, even the teenagers. I wish I was there helping gather all that goodness. Yum!
Tipper l enjoyed your video the cornbread and pepper jam looked so good Matt seemed to love it and I no that makes you happy Corie also loved it good to see all of you❤️ Shelby and to hear sweet Katie's voice
I just love okra flowers. They are so beautiful. ❤ Thanks for the pepper recipes too
Hey Ms tipper! My youngest boy loves watchin y’all. He turns 10 in February, he loves granny. He said she’s his favorite. He says “whatever granny wants she should get!” 🤣❤️ my grandma Cherry is the last one I know of personally that makes pepper jelly. That’s my favorite jelly, is the green pepper jelly💕❤️ thank you for bringing such wonderful content to our world!
😀 That is so sweet!! Please tell him I said thank you for watching!! So glad you both enjoy our videos 😀
Golly gum that all looks so good! i know that pepper jelly probably won't last very long, but some country ham, cream cheese and pepper jelly biscuits sound mighty fine!
Thank you for sharing once again. ❤🙏👍
I'm loving y'all doing what a lot of us do when we mess up. We still manage to get it done. Thanks for sharing this with us. It's better than watching a perfect cooking show that really doesn't always reflect what happens in the kitchen. Love it!!!
Glad you're getting finished with the garden. I admire you taking care of what little you have left. Sounds like Matt really liked the pepper jelly.
Thanks again Tipper for sharing!
I hope Matt realizes how Blessed he is.
I love the detailed info about your pumpkins and squash! Great video!
I love the outtakes. It made me laugh so hard. So enjoy your channel and all your videos.
Tipper picked a peck of pickled peppers. Lol...enjoyed the video, As always ❤

I always loved putting up food. I don't do it on the grand scale we did growing up.
I precariously through you and the family.

Matt looks like he has lost weight, looking younger too. What you doing to that man? Keep it up! Fun as always watching you in the kitchen.
