Do you create these stories yourself?
Great story.
I’m a nurse, and let me confirm that if hospital admins could entrap our souls to continue working our shifts after death…. They would! 😂😂😂 great story!
Yup!
I had a D.O.N like that. She's why I left my job.
So true lol
vvv😊vv😊jj
My mum would agree!! She just managed to retire as a nurse. Aged 80!! She was offered a new contract as well. We, as here kids (well, I'm 61, had to convince her to retire!!!)
Bro's an emergency doctor, a surgeon, a radiology technician, a security guard... definitely deserves a raise
😂😂 I picked up on that too
Johnny sins
Well I mean it’s not rocket science to run an xray for sure, plus emergency rooms doctors do minor surgeries all the time, but security guard duties ain’t for a doctor with them soft hands
@@Hambone891as a security guard one gonna say, our hands are just as soft
Yeaaaa...this was written like a medical TV show but that's ok lol
What surprised me the most is the fact that they did not have any set of strange rules. No strange rules at all. Imagine that...
I am surprised he didn't mention that One Life is in Ohio.
Well, if you find yourself on floor six, just stay put.
@@kayakMike1000 at least from context clues it was supposedly in NJ. When he tells the story about the highschool kids and not recognizing the name of the highschool after having lived in NJ his whole life.
The true horror happens a few weeks after they leave, when they see their Hospital bill
Exactly
honestly kind of wholesome, just these good doctors continuing to help people from beyond the grave.
Who says they consented to do this?
@@0_dearghealach_083 in the story Diane says she 'wants to be here's
@0_dearghealach_083 considering he put it under "good" rather than evil, I'm more Inclined to agree they want to help rather than being forced to do so
Most likely, they died, probably by the silent nurse. It's possible they actually stayed to continue helping patients as well as to protect them from the nurse.
It's possible that the doctor that "retired" was her actual choice. Choosing the afterlife after 50 years of service.
The one nurse seemed happy about it.
There might be a an agreement that after so long, they can choose to move on or choose to stay. But if they stay they say....have to serve another 50 years.
Considering it's aligned with "good," it's possible.
Or the choice is made for them initially but after 50 years they can choose to stay and continue or move on.
I think if they died in the hospital the choice is made for them initially but many of them saw the value of helping the patients and protecting them from the nurse. But the choice to move on is still an option after say 50 years.

Always read the fine print.
Pretty cool that the patients names listed were Patrons of Lighthouse Horror. Kudos, guys, for being part of the storyline! 😊
This guy makes me realize that i like these stories even more than the "true" stories i usually listen to.
It is pretty good entertainment.
I agree...it reminds me of my work place ...a monastery...yes, a very different lifestyle, ...
Ok. I'm hooked. I NEED MORE of this story. What's the back story? Whose the "silent" nurse? This would make a great series! 👍🏻
It doesn't matter what else I'm watching. When Lighthouse Horror comes on, I click.

I have been in law enforcement for over 30 years and I spent a couple as a State Police officer in a State run hospital and I must say it was crazy every day. I finally moved on as I would rather be in the line of fire and assault than work at that place.
I work at a daycare. We have our own brand of crazy stressful burnout as well.
I am a retired Behavioral Therapist. Those old State Run Hospitals were no easy job. That's for sure.
County Guy. I found most of the nurses were more evil than the actual criminals I had to deal with.

This is hands down one of your best stories !! I absolutely love the “nothing is what it seems” stories! It gives me twilight zone vibes. Would love to see some more trapped in a time loop or trapped in a town you can’t leave stories from you !!

Bulgaria says hello.
As someone who is legitimately in a wheelchair Lighthouse good sir, thank you for using a stylized "hospital wheelchair" instead of the boring unimaginative depiction that most so-called creatives use.
Oooh, spooky. Especially with the one nurse trying to make him a permanent member of the night shift.
I'm in the UK and have barely slept a wink, all that's about to change. I listen to each story at least twice because I never catch the ending. Thanks Mr Lighthouse, youve made my night 😊

"He gave me a friendly pat on his shoulder"
I too love that
"I came here today for fluorescent lighting and getting screamed at by weirdos.. and im all out of fluorescent lights"
This one truly kept me on edge
The thumbnail reminded me of this mildly scary experience my stbx had and decided to traumatize me with. They were closing down his office during the lockdown so his whole floor was empty. He kept hearing loud buzzing behind this one door. He opened the door to find a small room with an abandoned old army green wheelchair and a faded red rubber ball, nothing look touched but also, no dust. There was no other door to the room, and there was no other doorknob on the other side of the door. He looked at the room for a while, took a pic, because hey weird and creepy, but also never did see where the buzzing was coming from. Security came by. He joked with the guard about the "vampire murder room" and with everyone going home how the vampires were going to starve. The guard laughed and said, "Nah, they'll be fine. All these old buildings are connected by the underground tunnels, remember?"
Anyways I have since never gone to downtown Tulsa after dark unless I'm with a large group of people and at least one of them is slower than me.
I think it was a missed opportunity to have him recommend the woman a ct scan for hallucinations and for the techs to be suspiciously like “nah she’s fine” when they hear the reason
Omg, this definitely needs a part 2. Good twist!
As someone who previously worked Healthcare, having to continue to work after I died would be an absolute nightmare...... Can't even rest when you're dead apparently!
Why Haitians feared the Bokor and zombies are slaves not flesh eaters.
I have listened to almost every story you have posted. This one is hands down one I hope becomes more stories about the hospital. Yes also a huge "Kingdom Hospital" fan. Huge huge applause for this one.
This story reminds me of Kingdom Hospital too😊
LHH is the man,his narration and choice of stories are always absolutely amazing, thanks again man!
For some reason, this one didn't click with me when I listened on Patreon, but after listening again, I got into it and enjoyed it.
I really want you to know that I love how you narrate your stories.
You have a knack for this, thank you
Written by the Lighthouse Horror Team? That’s cool that you’ve got your own team! Did you have to make a deal with any entities to get a team? Sounds like that would make for a good story…
TV shows have writing teams.
Let's go! Best way to wind down for the night.
I agree
I listen while I'm in a hot shower or bath❤❤❤
I guess these doctors and nurses love helping people more than anything else.
I like how this story flows. ALOT of the stories that you narrate get boggled in detail. This one stays on task , so to speak. This one keeps us interested.
Elaboration to my first comment; For example, Stephen King is a wonderful Author no doubt, yet you will find yourself reading at least three chapters on the details of a door knob.
I love how you show yourself and give some clips and pictures. It's more personable that the people just talk over pictures. Thank you.
Is this a continuation of a hospital story where a bad doctor would sacrifice people’s lives on the 6th floor to save others patients?
It seems like a different story
@@lynn2551 yeah I think so too
This is so much better than the "list of rules" stories. This feels so natural for its structure.
Also not happy with where it ended, give me more! :-)
Just what the doctor ordered, creepy stories! 💊😄 Thank You 💜
So happy now. You are my dopamine and my serotonin 😊
I love me some lighthouse horror stories
Can't get enough of these stories. Wish we could have one every day .
Part 509 of thanking the lighthouse horror for the amazing narrations
i work overnights and man i’ve watched almost every single one of your videos i love them ❤️
Lols I'm the same.
I loved ghost stories & things like that since I was a kid.
I was reading horror novels during my night shifts when I worked as a young (& very naive) security guard - late teens.
One shift my supervisor asked what I was reading & he told me to stop or I'll get scared when doing my rounds of patrol 😅
Man, this guy deserves a raise, an emergency doctor, a security guard, a sturgeon and radiology technician. He deserves a HUGE RAISE.
I look forward to your uploads. Your videos are my bedtime stories
I second this comment^, laid down in bed, opened up TH-cam and was like, “nice! another Lighthouse drop”
Super story! Thank you. ⚘️
Ah, right on time there Stephen! Time to get comfy, wait 4 my meds to kick in while I'm relaxing my mind to your voice/story.❣️
So creepy! I’m an RN, and spent the majority of my working years on the night shift. We don’t turn off the lights, but it can get weird. My hospital was in the middle of corn fields. Not much around, but the fog and mist that used to roll in was…atmospheric. I did notice one very busy night in the ER that the Grim Reaper was scrubbing at one of our sinks. I blinked and he was gone.
Grim reaper is an icon and a psychopomp. Not really a person.
@@randallbesch2424 That’s true. Seeing a dark, indistinct cowled and hooded figure bending to wash at a scrub sink, in the middle of a crisis filled ER left me with the impression of the mythic personification of death. Death was always present in the ER, sometimes having coffee in the break-room, sometimes actively escorting someone away from the pain and suffering of a catastrophic injury. But I had never seen anything like that before or since. That feeling of being on borrowed time was a familiar one, hearing a siren and the radio calling for the ERN was often only the start. It’s an image that most can imagine, no shining scythe, no skeletal hands, just a dark figure that was only visible for a few seconds.
@@randallbesch2424 Psychopomps (from the Greek word ψυχοπομπός, psychopompós, literally meaning the 'guide of souls') are creatures, spirits, angels, demons, or deities in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly deceased souls from Earth to the afterlife. Would that not make it real? At least to the dead and dying? A guiding hand to hold when leaving a traumatic and catastrophically injured physical form? Yes, an Icon, but I disagree with it not being real. It’s real to those who experience it, and until you have, suspend your judgement.
Thanks going to listen to this tomorrow night when I'm camping with no signal!
Enjoy your camping trip.
Did you find the way to Bells Canyon?

Oh god... that one gave me chills...
I like that the doctor in this story doesn't just deny everything after multiple encounters but actually starts to beleive
I love how unlike any other creepypasta TH-camrs you actually use use visuals. High definition visuals. It really changes the entire experience. Like even tho I’ve listened to other channels for years, this is now my go to for my raging adhd while I try to sleep. TLDR thanks for the visuals lmao
Listening to this as a nurse who mainly works night shift, knowing full well that I have to work 4 night shifts this week alone, hits different
Ooooooh, glad your coworkers stayed at work. Driving home wouldn't have ended well. ❤
I’m so happy I’m catching this now! Laying down and getting cozy in my comforter and need some spooky narration from one of my top 2 narrators! ❤
When I see a video where he's literally standing there in front of the camera, I always feel like he's a science or math teacher. And for some reason, class can't be held as usual. So instead he's telling us a story. Can't help thinking: " is there gonna be a quiz on this later?" 😆
Had a day of joys and sorrows so seeing that you uploaded was another tick in the joy category.
I like the anecdotal nature of this video.
Thank you Stephen for another awesome. Top notch and always, and definitely loved it. You and Mr Creeps both dropped really good ones tonight and my night is made. Thank you so much. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Yayy I always get excited for a new story from Lighthouse 😊
"After looking at the long list of names of my coworkers, I got back in the elevator. I was completely shaken yet at the same time more determined than ever for someone to give me a straight answer of what the hell was going on here. As soon as I walked through the doors, the elevator began it's descent. The button for the ground floor was lit up as if it knew where I was heading without pressing a button.
The elavtor hit the ground floor usually rough as the lights went out and the doors opened all in one moment. I stepped out and was stopped in my tracks by what I saw. The entire ground floor of the hospital was dark. Dark, dirty and in a state of neglect as if no one had been there in years. It didn't take long for me to notice that besides myself, the hospital was completely empty. That's when my confusion turned into fear. I held out hope that someone was pulling the best prank in history on me but no. This was a fully functioning hospital just 20 minutes ago and now the entire place was abandoned and aged by 50 years.
I frantically ran up the stairs to see if the rest of the hospital was in the same state as the ground floor even though I already knew what the answer would be. There was nothing. Just old furniture and bedpans and other random old knick knacks. And lots of dust and cobwebs and graffiti. The hospital I had worked at for the past year now sat abandoned. I took in as much as my psyche would allow before I started to run. I ran for the exit so fast, my steps echoed in the empty hallways. I made it to the parking lot and saw a lone car, my car. I got in my car, turned the keys and before driving away, looked up at the huge building covered in plywood where the windows were. I drove home, the dark quiet streets doing little to calm my nerves.
Yikes! Awesome!
Ouu I liked this one. Just listening and anticipating what’s going to happen next excites me.
you are hands down my favorite narrator I have watched all of yours and am happy when you put out new stories
You do the BEST stories!!! Thank you!
I would love to hear a part 2 to this story. It's a really good one.
ThankYou!!! for another great story, hands down your the best 💯🔥
Awesome another Lighthouse story. Just what I needed.
So... I'm guessing they're working for free?
Very well written and delivered. If there was one little detail I'd change or expand on, it's the age gap going all the way back to 1800s, simply because I feel like those people might've spoken differently enough from modern people to be noticed. But that's just a little thing and didn't ruin it or anything. I do wish there was an explanation for the woman though, like who she was- was she fired, or an angry former patient, or something more dark than that? Maybe they'll write a part 2 to answer!
judging by how the other staff told the protagonist that the woman was already around since the hospital was build, perhaps she might be one of the first staff who worked there. but we never know about what happened to her. whether she was fired or smt worse, i hope we'll get an explanation later on.
Just like everyone else, I want more of these kinds of stories. You are such an entertaining storyteller and for some reason, even better with these kinds of stories. Thank you LightHouse! This was great.
Oh yeah? I’m a story for a strange town. These are my doctors.
So happy now. You are my dopamine and my serotonin 😊😊😊
Good story! I wonder if the narrator is still there at the hospital or if he quit
You’re one of my favorites! I look forward to all of your stories.
This one has a great twist.
Plot twist: The evil nurse is trying to set them all free by trying to kill them. therefore getting them to accept their deaths so they can move on to the afterlife.
I save the stories as a treat when I am feeling down and need to get lost in a story.
Hi there hope you’re doing all right this evening. Thank you for the great stories. I appreciate how hard you work.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, that was a great story. I really like your narration, and I'm glad you don't have background music that is too loud and distracting.
Loved this one! Thank you LH!!!!!
I'm not a big Lighthouse fan his older stuff is good 💯 but this one is excellent 👌❤
I had a heart attack several years ago. Even without stories, the hospital is very creepy at night even though it's one of the newest hospitals in my area. Especially creepy when someone would come into my room deep into the night for a blood test.
Really, Really loved this story and the format it was told! Unique and interesting!! Hope to see more!😊
You are the best and so are your stories.
if you think about it its kinda wholesome, the doctors have long been dead but even as spirits they make their best to save people
I always look forward to your videos. I love your narration and how you show yourself talking to us. You have a great narrating style.
To think of it positively, you have serious job security!
This hits different now knowing that this is where they are stuck. They can't get any days off. They're constantly working! 😶
Thanks for a really good episode. I can't help but wonder if this story is an excerpt from a larger story. There seems so much potential to build on the characters and explore our protagonist's actions once he discovers the information on the 6th floor.
gave me chills, love it!!! Not every pasta has to be a slasher to be good
I like that the doctors and nurses weren't evil or sinister. They were just friendly ghosts making people better lol
This was an awesome story. Working in the Healthcare field for a good part of my life, you get to see some pretty weird events
I worked many graveyard shifts in hospitals and there is something mysterious and creepy about the big ones. Old ones, and new ones. Maybe it's just the stress, long hours, and fatigue, but things get weird sometimes. Enjoyed the story.
Need 👏 more 👏 story 👏! Who the heck is the long haired nurse, if she was there when the hospital was founded, how did she die? Why is she aggressive? This is ghost hospital where the night shift is all ghosts, but they care for live patients? Or is it that they care for the souls of people? That might explain how the Pennsylvania high school kids got there, it was their ghostly souls, which the staff cared for and saved from death?
I WILL fund this becoming a series.
A hospital is the scariest place ever late at night in the halls without patients.
